However, I was met and left with a bad taste in my mouth. No pun intended. The female employee (short hair/glasses) was not the friendliest person, even after I tried being overly nice. I don't know if she was having a bad day or just hates males in general but not a good representation of a place I was eagerly awaiting to try. I first asked if there was a difference in drinks from what was on the menu and up on the board above. She answered snarky, "if it's up on the board and on the menu it's the same" Mind you, one said latte and the other did not, hence the question. I opted with what I normally get. She took my order and then while looking down, stated, "2% milk okay" I said sure then asked if whole was available. You would've thought I had asked for her to go milk the cow and bring it back. She was very annoyed, so I said 2% is fine. I paid for my coffee then stood and watched her began preparing it. I saw her add one quick pump of syrup so I said, could I maybe have one more pump. Again, you would've thought I was about to suck them dry of all syrup. She seemed annoyed and looked at the register and began to say what I assume was they charge for extra, so I quickly said never mind. All in all I was disappointed with my interaction. The coffee was good and the wrap was okay but I dunno if I'd go back.

Both coffee drinks were smooth, rich, and well-made without being overly sweet. The Smashed Melon energy drink was light, refreshing, and a fun choice for a hot Arizona day. All 3 were served with chocolate covered espresso beans, Yay Service was friendly, and our drinks were prepared quickly. Sometimes all you need is a good drink and a pleasant interaction, and The Human Bean delivered both. We'll definitely be back to work our way through more of the menu.

I think I pay like $7 for a gigantic coffee that usually lasts me two days. They also have some baked snacks like muffins and cookies that are usually good. I really liked the snickerdoodles last month! The highlights here are the service, speed, and variety. And on that note, I think it's cool that they do a month-by-month cycle of new drinks to keep things interesting. I have not had a single month where none of the specialty drinks appeal to me, there's always at least something - which is intentional, as they usually do one energy drink, one cold brew, and one latte. I also feel like the staff read your vibe and go off of that which I appreciate, because if I just woke up and I'm like barely on the plane of existence, I do not want that Dutch Bros level of energy to knock me out of my car seat. I will advise anyone looking to get matcha to probably stray away from that if you're expecting a more traditional, earthy taste, but generally if you're not going to a place that specializes in matcha you're making a mistake on your end. I go here on on average once every 2-3 days and I will continue to do so because of the location and convenience. The place was busy, with a line of people all confidently ordering like they had discovered gold. The girl who took my order was warm, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. The coffee was delicious, the brisket taco absolutely hit the spot, and yes... I even bought one of their mugs, because apparently I now make emotional purchases over good coffee.
