The facilities are used by whomever, whenever. But ever since we moved to Colorado, we have taken a picture of the Continental Divide from here, any season, any weather. For decades, on our way to skiing, my husband made the kids climb up on the snow bank at the edge of the parking lot to get a photo of them with the Divide behind them. I must say, it has made for great memories, some of them very, very cold! Do stop here for a few minutes, especially if you are not a regular up here.

I've always wanted to visit a Buc-ee's and was so excited when one finally opened in CO! The last…read moretime we were in CO we didn't get a chance to visit, so this time we definitely made a point to. I personally think the hype is real. There's so much food to choose from, and so so so many snacks and souvenirs. There's something for everyone. The place is huuuuge and there are a ton of gas pumps. Everything was affordable and the bathrooms were very clean. I appreciated that there were red and green lights showing which stalls were open and which were occupied. The workers were very efficient in their tasks, be it cutting fresh brisket, replenishing food items, or cleaning the store. My husband grabbed a brisket sandwich and a key lime pie pudding cup, both of which he said were delicious and again worth the hype. I didn't get anything as I had leftovers from the previous day, but I would have probably grabbed their famous pulled-pork sandwich if I didn't. We will definitely be back the next time we're in the Denver area!

Don't worry, if you're not into the legal green you can still access this spot. It's to the right of the entrance to Green Solution and pro-tip, you don't need a key. The restrooms were clean but definitely don't get visited often. The dryer didn't work and there were no paper towels. But hey! It's a public restroom! And for that, I am forever grateful.

It is one mile north of Grand Lake and just south of the park entrance station on U.S. Highway 34 (Trail Ridge Road). I did the long 40+ mile drive from Estes Park to here and was happy to finally get out of the car and walk around. It is a nice visitor center with restrooms, paper map, books, merchandise and exhibits with information about the park. There are park rangers on hand to answer questions that you may have. You can get permits and information about backcountry camping and hiking in the park at this visitor center. After spending a week in Rocky Mountain National Park, I enjoyed checking out the topographical map of the park and seeing all of the places that I visited. I covered a lot of ground while I was here. The Tonahutu Spur Trail starts outside the visitor center near the parking lot. Sadly, a fire burned up many of the trees on this trail years back. Don't forget to get your national park passport book stamped while at the visitor center.

I'd left an honest, accurate (and even scathing) review for that time. BUT, it's been long a while. Even though we'd tried coming back a few times over the years, it hadn't changed. BUT...We'd decided to see if they had made any changes, since the last post, 2yrs ago. Things have been cleaned up, it's much safer than our last visit and the staff in the Dennys were a complete turn around. Though we can't tell you about shower areas, we can tell you about what we'd experienced THIS time. The restaurant was clean. The servers were prompt, friendly, courteous and attentive. The food was good and they were very happy to offer to correct the overcooked fried eggs! Unfortunately, they are still short staffed. So if your clock is running, expect that it might take a few extra minutes. But it will be with a caring, friendly staff and a clean environment! Nice job, Dennys and Flying J!!

This is by far the worst truck stop I've ever been to. The…read moreshowers are a complete disaster -- waiting 2-3 hours every time. The screen is frozen on the same numbers and never updates, so you just stand there not knowing if your turn is coming or not. Zero organization, and the staff doesn't seem to care at all. For drivers, it's nothing but wasted time and frustration. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of better options.

CDOT rest area Wiggins, Colorado…read more Stopped at the rest stop to stretch our legs and use the restroom. It was neat and clean and even had a dog area for pets to stretch their legs. There is a family restroom with changing table which definitely helps. Well used and scratched but still appreciated. I've changed diapers in many different places in my lifetime and a changing table, no matter how beat up, is the best. I think there is a vending machine but we didn't have time to linger so I couldn't check it out. But the rest stop was a nice one and it makes the long drive tolerable. Wheelchair accessible.
