The store has a wide variety of products with a limited selection of each due to their small size. Their prices are higher than the chain stores but lower than 7-11 type of stores. And they are nearby. We do our weekly grocery shopping at Wal-mart in Longmont (or sometimes King Soopers). To pick up a few items, it is far cheaper and more convenient to go to Hays Market than to drive to Longmont. I understand that about a decade ago Safeway was to build a store in the North East corner of CO 56 and US 287, but backed out of the deal because there were not enough people here to support it. Luckily, we have Hays Market for our go-to store. As Berthoud grows to be a city, with all of the reasons we left a city to more to Berthoud, the chain stores will come also. At that time Hays Market will have to change or close. Until then, I am glad we live in a small town with a small town grocery store.

I moved to Lyons from NYC recently and this store is better than any store in Boulder (ok Hazels is hard to beat). They have a tiny selection of pre mixed cocktails so it's not a spot to find the On the Rocks line of pre-mixed drinks but it's a great store with a healthy selection of everything, beer, wine and liquor.

There is a bar inside where you can order and walk around( in designated areas) with your beer or cocktail while you shop. They have a deli/cafe area that you can order from and sit and eat. The prices are great. The store is laid out very well. Produce is arranged nicely and is so colorful. They have a few produce items that most grocery stores in the area don't carry. They also carry quite a few different brands of food that are also not in any of our local grocery stores. They source their meat locally and have a nice variety of meats and seafood. The bakery is nice. Open to watch them work and I think most things are made at this location. It's a fun, different grocery shopping experience. Would be nice to have another Woods location a little further North. Go check them out!

Kombucha! Mesquite wood chips. Eco-friendly dish soap and trash bags. Four shopping bags CRAMMED full for $58! Today the produce was not great, but besides that it was awesome. Very friendly cashier and folks stocking the shelves. More than once I saw the shelver stop what they were doing and help a customer find what they were looking for. Store is clean and fairly well organized. The cashier said they stock new items every day and you never know what will be there. I'm going here before I do a big shop from now on. I know this store is going to save me a lot of $ and they have quality food.

Points for being easy & convenient! Westview is pretty clean and well organized. They have a great selection of your standard brews, wines, and spirits. It's not huge like the Whole Foods liquor stores out here but they have a few out of the box finds. The owner can be a real toss up. We stopped patronizing this place and started to go to the one across the street or the one next to the Dollar Tree and Soopers. The reason why is because the owner cocked a wicked attitude with my husband one day when our card kept declining. The thing is, we had money on the card but we forgot that all the info is set up as our address in California so it kept declining because there were already too many "out of state" transactions being made. Be that as it may, the owner who sees my husband ALL THE TIME got all pissy with him saying that he gets charged every time someone gets declined. Obviously not our problem! Let me just say, if you own a liquor store in Colorado... I'd hope to a high power that you're making money because the competition is slashed since super markets can only carry the lame 3% version of everything & no hard alcohol (OoOoh the perks of being "a mile high"). Second, you own a business!
