Cute little spot to stop and get some attraction flyers and shop a little. Definitely a must stop if you're driving through.

The Visitors Center is a favorite stop when we're out and about. It's clean. Parking is easy. Vending machines contains snacks and drinks. They use credit cards. The gift shop is wonderful, and has an information desk and brochures. The restrooms are large. We like the shaded picnic area, and have eaten our packed lunch there several times. Off I-70 at the Georgetown exit.

Very well done Visitor Center, as good as I have ever seen. Multi-media presentations were excellent, very friendly and accommodating Staff, interesting tchotchkes for sale, clean restrooms, plenty of parking. Five Stars.

Tourist information? Check. Clean restrooms? Check. Small gift shop? Check. Gateway Visitor Center is THE place to stop for local tourist information or stretching your legs on the way to/from wherever you're headed. Don't believe me? Well, according to their website, over the past 11 years, 4 million visitors have pulled off the I-70 for making the bladder gladder, snagging a soda, or figuring out where they are. The Visitor Center is actually a joint operation between the CDOT (Colorado Department of Transportation) and the local Georgetown Trust to provide information about the Georgetown Silver Plume National Historic Landmark District ... and replace the restrooms that were closed at the nearby Eisenhower/Johnson Tunnels. It's open 365 days a year. Restrooms are available 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m, but the shop is only open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Nice stop and visitors center. Awesome little gift shop. Clean restrooms. Close parking. A costumed guide even greets you as you enter the building! A small park across the street for you (or your dogs) too.

The visitor center is just down the road from the Georgetown Lake!

We always stop here if we are passing by or headed to the lake to fish. They have clean bathrooms, and VERY NICE people working at the gift shop. We stopped in today, and my daughter decided she wanted some beef jerky from the vending machines. Unfortunately the bag got stuck. The man behind the counter who runs the non profit gift shop helped us out, refunded our money! He was extremely helpful and so nice!!! Great guy!!!! The store has so much to offer from fun little trinkets, jewelry, candy from a local candy shop in Denver, books, wind chimes, tea towels and so much more. Lots of neat things for children as well! Not sure of their hours but they always seem to be open when we need them. Also they have a good size parking lot! Highly recommend stopping there! Oh and there is a great older gentlemen at the front door with lots of information stuff for you!!!

It's a welcome center, and when you are on the road, nothing is more welcome than a clean bathroom.

Even though we arrived during the Government shutdown, it was still able to be open to the public. Thank goodness! We were so sad that other Visitor Centers were closed. We stopped at the top in the Tundra zone and found the Alpine Visitor Center closed. This Visitor Center is just outside the park entrance off of Highway 34 remains open daily from 9am-5pm and is open all year round. We had exited the park at the Fall River Station when we saw this and decided to stop in at the end of the day. The Fall River Visitor Center is the newest Visitor Center. It has a good number of exhibits featuring some of the wildlife that you might see in the national park. The Visitor Center also has a store, and a ranger desk. There are some rubber stamps for your parks passport. This visitor center also has public toilets available. We were here briefly, but it was a nice little stop!

The Fall River Visitor Center is a nice building with exhibits and park rangers on hand to answer questions. It is also a gift shop and bookstore. After entering Rocky Mountain National Park through the Fall River Entrance Station, you can access either Trail Ridge Road or Old Fall River Road. Old Fall River Road is the original road through the park. Both roads are seasonal and close in the winter. Either route will take you all the way to the Alpine Visitor Center. Rocky Mountain National Park requires a timed entry reservation made in advance to enter the park. The Fall River Entrance is currently under construction for road widening, a new entrance sign and entrance station kiosks. This will help reduce traffic congestion going into the park. The visitor center remains open during this time.

The Good: *Huge parking lot *Great views of the Rockies and surrounding area *National Park Passport stamp *Purchase NP pass or pay entrance fee here *Outdated but nice 10min video on the area that's worth a watch. *Clean restrooms *Souvenir shop *Rangers to discuss *Water bottle filling station *Open year-round except for Christmas and Thanksgiving *Wifi The Meh: *Popular place with lots of visitors The Ugly: *Building and interior in general looks old and in dire need of an update. *Interior is much too small for the amount of people that it serves. If you're still living in 2020 and still a bit squeamish about crowds, then this place probably isn't for you. Conclusion: Decent VC that's ridiculously busy and needs an upgrade, but still worth a stop on your way into the park.
