Big SCAM. Sign says lower price cash and higher with card. NOT true, supposedly you have to have a special card to get lower price. NOT CASH

I entered the El Paso, George Dieter location and really had to use the bathroom. A code was needed…read moreto get in so I waited in line to get my order taken. I am a regular whataburger customer and get the same thing every single time. A number 7 with just CHEESE and ketchup. I've been ordering the same thing for years, have never said anything different. A woman took my order. I asked "can I get a number 7 with just cheese a ketchup". And I could admit when I'm in the wrong, but in this situation, I did indeed ask for cheese on my burger. I don't know if you guys have cameras that you can look at to prove that I did ask for cheese. I paid, then asked "do you have a code to the bathroom" and she said "yea but I need to put it in for you." So I said "okay" then waited. She seemed like she was in a rush, stressed, busy, and trying to multitask. So she was super rude and short. I then proceeded to wait for her to take 4 orders while I stood there still having to use the restroom. My stomach was hurting due to how bad I had to go to the bathroom and how long I had been waiting. She then made eye contact with me and continued on with her duties. So I went up again to the register and said "I just need to use the bathroom" and she told me "oh yea just give me a sec" so I proceeded to wait even longer. Finally she ordered some other worker to open it for me. I returned to my table and my burger did not have cheese on it. I checked my receipt and it did not have cheese written on it, but I know that I did ask for it. So I stoped worker number 1 and told him "im sorry I asked for cheese on my burger" and he said "oh let me fix that for you" very kind. And I waited.... then told worker number 2 the same thing. She told me that she would help me, so I waited even longer. When no one helped me I went up to the register again and met with the same woman (the manager) who took my order and took forever to let me use the bathroom. I told her politely "im sorry but I asked for cheese on my burger" and she looked me up and down and told me, "no you didn't" so I told her "I promise you, I asked for cheese" and she told me again "no you didn't" and she said "I'll charge you for it" and proceeded to try and gaslight me and charge me 54 cents to add cheese. She wanted to put the cheese on the COLD burger I was holding, and didn't even have the courtesy to provide me with a new burger. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me she was the manager. Which disappointed me even more to realize that your management is that disrespectful to paying customers. I was very kind and would've been understanding if she would've just owned up to making a mistake, but instead she looked at me like I was an idiot. I don't think that it's fair that paying customers have to argue over something that could've been so fixable. Do you guys not follow the rule "the customer is always right" ?????? I ended up leaving super disappointed and having paid for something I didn't ask for. She did not give me any sort of refund. Every restaurant I've been to in the past, including other Whataburger locations and that same location under different management, they have always been kind and apologize for any misunderstanding on their part. That manager is no role model, lacks customer service, is unkind, and I don't know if that's what you want representing your restaurant. I will not be returning to that location due to the terribly poor management. I'm writing this in hopes that it doesn't happen to anyone else, and due to the fact that I didn't want to make a scene. Please do something about it. The location I attended is 1310 George Dieter St. El Paso, TX 79936, United States. It says on my receipt that my cashier was "Elihud L" but it was a woman who claimed to be the manager. She was wearing all black.

The fries were cold and soggy. I guess the workers are so unpleasant and unprofessional if you ask for anything than the original order, you be treated poorly. I had one bite I the hamburger and one fry. I threw the rest in the trash.

Orange Cow Burgers - Please excuse the mess. It was to good I couldn't stop and take a picture before biting into it.

It was…read moreperfect timing to 'cause they opened at 11:00 AM and we were just a few minutes away from being their first customers of the day! Located off one of the main streets; in a shopping complex sits Orange Cow Burgers which originally started out as a Food Truck. Now, there's approximately three locations in the surrounding areas. Menu is pretty straight forward and simple. Orders are as follows: a single, double, triple and protein cow. It's fresh ingredients, all-beef patties that are cooked to medium. The best part is they have a secret speciality sauce called moolicious! We got two single patties along with two orders of fries and a pup patty (single plain patty) for the dogs. All to go. Prices are extremely reasonable in today's market. Taste was as if you made it right at your own La Casa. Only complaint was not having "enough" of that sauce to really have it stand out beyond home cooked. That said, you can also get their "loaded fries" which includes this specific sauce as well. We opted for "extra crispy" plain fries and they were really good. Service was fair enough as far as the wait ( 2 parties a head of us) and friendly staff. Great little spot if you happen through El Paso Texas or if you're local, hit them up for your own burger experience & request extra mooliscious spread of course!

In the past 30 years I have probably had beef ribs only one other time. If you have never had them I recommend you give them a try at least once just to say that you have had them and to see if you really like them. I like them. The Rib Hut prepares them about as well as they can be prepared. The bark on them is thick (but not hard) and tasty. I had the potato salad. I won't be getting them again. There was nothing wrong with them, I just thought it was plane and bland and they have better sides. The pinto beans were amazing. The best I have ever had. Piping hot and seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of spicy kick. I will be getting those again! The roll was fresh and delicious and a little sweet. I liked it. The service was friendly and fast. I was greeted immediately on entering and the wait staff was fast, friendly and quick to get me everything I asked for. The restaurant itself is small and quaint and clean. I recommend the Rib Hut and will be going back again myself.

I don't know if there has been new management in place or they are spread too thin opening the 3rd location but this has been substandard and not only in Presentation but even taste quality. People ask me where to go for the best BBQ, for over 10 or more years I've said Rib Hut if you like real Central Texas style, and the best tasting sauce. The sauce is still hittin'. But much has taken a fall. I'm posting two new pictures, one from 2023 and one from today. Same order. Small combo, 2 meats, chicken white meat and spare ribs with corn on the cob. One plate has a bright yellow whole corn on the cob with butter, and skewers so you don't have to get your fingers all corny. Two beautiful glistening spare ribs and a spilt smoked chicken breast still juicy. You just want to DIVE IN! To day I got a half corn cob, stick in a bowl with some butter in the bottom. Way over cooked, no plump kernels, no skewers and when asked for was told they don't have them. Ribs look dry, no shine, now they are presented on their side but even turned they lacked enough of that honey glaze. The chicken? Well it came as a whole breast, not choir in half. The skin was practically all removed it was dry, it was mealy it didn't even have a smokey flavor, in fact It had no flavor at all. There was no signature pink near the bone, a "smoke ring" if you will, that you normally see in chicken when smoked. This just tastes like ... water for lack of a better term. It had to have the sauce to pic it UP! I did not eat much and brought it home for the dogs. And I love bbq chicken. for me not to eat it, says something even to me. This is the Mesa location so of course it's all about the nostalgia in here and they got newer daisy-dukes curtains! Please, please figure it out guys, I know after so many years it's hard to constantly maintain a high level of consistency in labor and kitchen personnel and food quality. It's hard to keep up in the world today with Apple box turnover on the labor side and inflation on the product side. I'm rooting for you to WIN the battle in the end! And this is STILL the best BBQ in El Paso.
