"El Super" former "Ranch" its an amazing grocery store that focuses on bringing latin- american and Mexican ingredients for your latin-american and Mexican cooking. I visited because their carnicería offers the specific meat cuts to make pork pozole. Obviously once there it was easy to get the rest of the items needed for the dish. This place is pretty awesome. They have tornillería, panadería, carnicería, Mexican candy, pescadería, fruits, veggies, wine, an eatery with tables to dine-in among many other things. Ample parking lot and their prices are excellent. The only thing I couldn't find were trash bags and Im sure I didn't look hard enough.

We knew they had pretty good Aguas Frescas so we decided to stop by on our short trip. It started as a pretty good experience until we were ordering. One of their security guards, M. Quezada, decided to harass us. I was taking a video of the drinks for a family video I was making. He came to inform us we needed to stop filming, that it wasn't allowed. I thought it was funny we couldn't record in a grocery so I was chuckling to myself. He took offense to my laughing and stated, "Even though you think it's funny, I can kick you out of the store for doing that." I was disappointed that he was unnecessarily aggressive in his approach to customers about to spend money in the store. I definitely felt uncomfortable and even embarrassed after that. After we still got our items and were leaving the store, my brother asked the security guard why we weren't allowed to record. He said, "Well, if you look at the sign at the door, this is a private area and outside is a public area." (which still didn't answer his question) Unfortunately, this wasn't the best experience to visitors. Obviously there's no picture or videos thanks to Mr. Quezada.

This market really is Super! My truest and only intention originally upon visiting this place was to buy their freshly made tortillas because ya just cant beat that! And Im not about to go dabble with any tortilla pressers and masa in order to do my own thing neither. Although they also offer exactly the tools you need, including the already made dough/batter for your tortillas to be pressed out or rolled out at home, I'd rather eat appropriately cooked ones already instead for a fraction of the price. No sh!t, there I was. I was minding my own business, trying to make a beeline to the tortilleria when all of a sudden, hunger sensations hit me like a 5 year old tryna score pastillas from a piñata! I was passing their amazing hot foods section where they also had these huge heating bins of nothing but tamales! Holy guacamole Batman! I was floored and i grabbed a flavor each of the chicken, beef, and pork. Only $6 later, i was sitting at their picnic tables by their hot foods section and enjoying the heck out of my tamales and hot sauce. Dang it was good!!! So quick. So cheap. And so delish! I then opted for more ingredients to make Mexican rice and i was able to easily find the chiles that i would need, rice, and tomatoes. They even had some tea bags conveniently packed in their spice bags! Never seen that! What a revelation this place has been for me! I think my next trip will involve a whole thing of fried tilapia! I was catching wafts of its deliciously deep fried fish skin and flesh and was getting hit with cravings like a piñata again!

Never had an issue until today I get it due to the virus things are hectic right now But that's no excuse to have food with mold I was in-denial at first but after taking a closer look it was clear someone was being a lazy F*ck I then told a worker who said "They are very busy" Yea so busy you let mold on your food!?

I like coming to El Super whenever I want to save money on groceries. I also like to get a delicious agua fresca or slice of cake. My favorite agua fresca is always the pepino. It has chunks of lime and cucumber in it. It's OH so good! The limonada (lemonade) is my second favorite agua fresca. I like getting a slice of their tres leches cake. That's one of my favorite cakes. Sometimes I just walk into the store for those two items. This is a good place to come if you want to stock up on fruits and/or vegetables. They have most of them for low prices. The Hatch green chile is usually already roasted. It's typically very spicy so beware! I also like buying strawberries from here. The chips and cases of soda are also a good price most of the time. They make fresh food, like tacos, menudo, tamales, etc. You can eat it there or take it home. I haven't eaten anything from here in awhile. The last time I did it tasted good. I sometimes stop by to get some champurrado during the winter months. It's a thick, warm, cinnamon tasting drink. There's a hint of chocolate in it. They have a lot of other Mexican products here. If you don't like crowds, I'd stay away on weekends. If you want to save a buck or two on groceries, consider shopping at El Super.

    Look for this place!

Pro's Ranch Market is a little slice of Mexico in the otherwise larger slice of Mexico that is El Paso. In all seriousness, this is a pretty authentic Mexican supermarket (for those of us veterans of being visiting Juarez): they roast their own chiles, have a great bakery, taqueria, and sell all kinds of Mexican goodies. I came here to get my flan and asadero fix and ended up buying some tasty tres leches cake as well. The only advice I will give you about Pro's Ranch Market is this: make sure you have a TON of patience and don't come here hungry. This store houses MAJOR crowds and my first reaction when entering the parking lot is always: "SON OF A B*TCH!" That being said, the staff is friendly and accommodating, I needed a handicapped shopping cart and somebody got me one ASAP.

Rude STAFF HERE AT COMMISSARY! Rude management who know zero about food service & quality…read moreproduce. If you don't like the military, then don't work at the commissary. Smh! I've been here for five years with husbands 2 deployments overseas, and I must say that the commissary has been very disappointing on so many areas and in so many ways from the food to the rude lady at the self checkout counter today at 19:00 3/10/26. Management needs to be shaken up frothe top Down. The nicest people are the bag clerks who work for tips. PS Upper management give the troops and soldiers, the worst quality of produce and meat etc. & the highest prices. We shop here when desperate. They also charge sales tax & call them "service fees" . SHAME SHAME FT BLISS! MAJOR CHANGES NEEDED FROM TOP DOWN.

You're probably wondering why I gave such an innocuous grocery store only a mid-range score. Well,…read moreI'll tell ya.. While it's true you can buy just about all your produce here cheaper than you could find it off post, there's a few things about this commissary that are 8-up. Like.. Why do the cashier ladies at the self checkout stations find it necessary to check my ID...twice?? Yeah. Your ID gets checked TWICE. Once by the machine when you first scan it (which would be sufficient enough in and of itself) and again by the live person watching all the stations, regardless if the machine has already accepted your ID. In fact, the only time this doesn't happen is when you're in uniform. I get why the live cashiers exist. But I most certainly DON'T get the need to double and triple check someone's ID which is already being verified by the scanner (seriously, I got my ID checked 3 times in 15 seconds today). In fact, the cashiers at the regular checkout lanes don't even really check them that thoroughly; probably because they realize their jobs have been made hella easier by allowing the scanners to do the work for them. Speaking of the scanners though.. I swear you're better off going through the regular checkout lanes, even if you only have a few items. Because these weight sensors act like they have problems. I can't begin to tell you how many times I've had to wait for the scanner to catch up with what I've scanned and placed in the bag. Sometimes it'll just sit there ostensibly stuck on the screen claiming that I haven't scanned the item in the bag yet when I clearly have. Or it'll tell me to, "please continue scanning" when I've already finished. That's basically my biggest pet peeve with this place though. Other than the fact that the commissary at Fort Bragg was bigger. Plus, there were two of them. But like I said, you can get produce here hella cheap. The parking is okay...though I don't like how you have to walk to the middle of the sidewalk just to get your shopping cart down the ramp thingy. The rest of it is curbed off. Makes it inconvenient for introverts like me who are just trying to plan our escape routes ahead of time and get the hell out of there. I'm gonna give the Fort Bliss commissary 3 shopping carts full of cheap, yet fresh produce out of 5. I realize I've only checked into this place once out of the years of coming here. But I just had to talk about this one.
