I entered the El Paso, George Dieter location and really had to use the bathroom. A code was needed to get in so I waited in line to get my order taken. I am a regular whataburger customer and get the same thing every single time. A number 7 with just CHEESE and ketchup. I've been ordering the same thing for years, have never said anything different. A woman took my order. I asked "can I get a number 7 with just cheese a ketchup". And I could admit when I'm in the wrong, but in this situation, I did indeed ask for cheese on my burger. I don't know if you guys have cameras that you can look at to prove that I did ask for cheese. I paid, then asked "do you have a code to the bathroom" and she said "yea but I need to put it in for you." So I said "okay" then waited. She seemed like she was in a rush, stressed, busy, and trying to multitask. So she was super rude and short. I then proceeded to wait for her to take 4 orders while I stood there still having to use the restroom. My stomach was hurting due to how bad I had to go to the bathroom and how long I had been waiting. She then made eye contact with me and continued on with her duties. So I went up again to the register and said "I just need to use the bathroom" and she told me "oh yea just give me a sec" so I proceeded to wait even longer. Finally she ordered some other worker to open it for me. I returned to my table and my burger did not have cheese on it. I checked my receipt and it did not have cheese written on it, but I know that I did ask for it. So I stoped worker number 1 and told him "im sorry I asked for cheese on my burger" and he said "oh let me fix that for you" very kind. And I waited.... then told worker number 2 the same thing. She told me that she would help me, so I waited even longer. When no one helped me I went up to the register again and met with the same woman (the manager) who took my order and took forever to let me use the bathroom. I told her politely "im sorry but I asked for cheese on my burger" and she looked me up and down and told me, "no you didn't" so I told her "I promise you, I asked for cheese" and she told me again "no you didn't" and she said "I'll charge you for it" and proceeded to try and gaslight me and charge me 54 cents to add cheese. She wanted to put the cheese on the COLD burger I was holding, and didn't even have the courtesy to provide me with a new burger. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me she was the manager. Which disappointed me even more to realize that your management is that disrespectful to paying customers. I was very kind and would've been understanding if she would've just owned up to making a mistake, but instead she looked at me like I was an idiot. I don't think that it's fair that paying customers have to argue over something that could've been so fixable. Do you guys not follow the rule "the customer is always right" ?????? I ended up leaving super disappointed and having paid for something I didn't ask for. She did not give me any sort of refund. Every restaurant I've been to in the past, including other Whataburger locations and that same location under different management, they have always been kind and apologize for any misunderstanding on their part. That manager is no role model, lacks customer service, is unkind, and I don't know if that's what you want representing your restaurant. I will not be returning to that location due to the terribly poor management. I'm writing this in hopes that it doesn't happen to anyone else, and due to the fact that I didn't want to make a scene. I ordered a #2 combo with no pickles or onions. I waited over 24 minutes for my order. Once it was delivered the hamburger was bland, no seasoning, barely warm. The fries were cold and soggy. I guess the workers are so unpleasant and unprofessional if you ask for anything than the original order, you be treated poorly. I had one bite I the hamburger and one fry. The last few times I have been there (one on Desert Blvd and one on Donaphin) it has been really bad. The patty is dried out; it's not hot enough to melt the cheese; the buns are old. After profound apologies, they gave us a gift certificate as a replacement for our screwed up meal. Now this franchise is no where to be seen in California until we crossed the border into TX on our RV trip. It's everywhere here along Hwy 10. That said, this particular location has great customer service. It's a bit small and the X streets University and Mesa are under heavy construction so bad traffic. Went to cash in a reward that I had been saving for a day that I felt like getting a milkshake so today decided to go get one. The lines were long as usual (like any Whataburger). I went up and placed my order with no issues. The issue came when I got to the window. I had told them I had a reward for the shake and they scanned my code for the reward. The guy proceeded to ask for the $3. I had mentioned again I had a reward and it should be free. He went and looked at his computer and said nope it's still $3. I look at my phone to see if maybe it didn't scan but sure enough my reward was scanned and taken. I told him and showed him that it should be free. He just rolled his eyes and printed the receipt and handed the shake. I checked the receipt and sure enough it showed the reward. I know they were busy and I did see the guy hustling and running orders out to the cars outside but idk what his attitude was about. Only to get there and say they still need to work on it. Fast forward and hour I have to call the store directly as they haven't prepared my meal, and are being rude telling me to move so they can focus on new coming customers at the drive through while I had already ordered an hour beforehand still waiting to get back to my som alone at the hospital. The Chorizo Burger is not artery clogging. It has fired roasted Peppers with the Chorizo seasoning, but it was not as good as the Double Green Chile Burger. The Chorizo Burger did not have enough Peppers and it tasted like a home-made burger that was missing the lettece, tomato and onions. For the Double Green Chile Burger, it was better because it had some heat because of the seeds, but it still would taste better with all the fixings. Don't get me wrong, it is good quality meat but I still head to Arizona for an IN n OUT. On the positive, it is open 24 hours and they have Powerade. I've never heard of this place until I reached the Texas state line and saw about 5 different ones within 3 miles from each other. There was one incident where a big a$$ truck was blocking the drive thru so I had to walk inside. Here's my disclaimer: I always have full makeup on and heels at 2 AM because of work. I swear, I'm not a stripper but I have to be in this attire as a yuppy (young professional). However, I don't believe the men inside the restaurant cared and I strongly feel they were drunk.
