The faces behind the counter are familiar and welcoming...even comforting when you may need a small thing to tide you over till you can go to the larger store or restaurant. Turning away paying customers? Not smart. Allowing a gargoyle with a rude, hostile demeanor to represent your business? Even less wise. We'll be taking our LA fortune elsewhere, thanks. Mike helped me navigate through a few bourbons and discussed a few new distilleries. Mike was excellent in his referrals having tried most everything we were interested in. I rarely see this amount of participation from store owners or interaction with customers. He must have said hi to five people by first name as we talked about different expressions. The selection of craft beers was also outstanding. They even do their own barrels and collaborations with local breweries for the store!
