I've been to the Circle drive in twice now ( I know, for such a staple I can't believe I haven't been there more either) and both times were a great experience! Be forewarned that they are cash only and have an ATM on site. All you have to do is park and your food is ordered through your window and brought to you the same way. Such an easy concept. The people working are also a joy even in these winter weather mishaps. The banana split is something to be marveled at and I love that they have the red weenie hot dogs, those are my favorite. I'll definitely be visiting more now that I know how quick and yummy it is! read more

I love Circle Drive and come from out of town to eat here. I visited today and was going to order a milkshake with my food but by the very vocal, physical and negative response from the larger girl with dyed blonde hair in her 30's, I decided not to. She made clear that she had a lot of ice cream and stuff to make already for other people and I shouldn't order one.....Disappointing. In their window, the Circle Drive In displays a framed certificate claiming that they have the best hot dog in Rockingham County. They don't. A certificate they DO deserve is one for greasiest fries in the Greater Piedmont Triad. And beyond. Possibly the world. See my photos if you don't believe me. The hot dog (pink) is average and bland as are the all the way toppings. The burger had a decent taste and crisp toppings, but it appeared to have been cooked hours earlier and it was a little dry and dense. Sweet tea was average. Also, be aware that this is a true drive-in-- no table service. And while it was a very hot day, my server did not seem exactly thrilled to be there-- not even when I gave her a thirty percent tip. So I would steer clear of this drive in. By the way, the best hot dog in Rockingham County and beyond (in my opinion) can be found in Johnson's Family Grill in Madison. read more

Old style drive in with curb service or take out window only - worn and a little shabby, but serves decent food quickly. The chili dog is good, not great - chili is thin and a little weak, and has that pale brown color of so many thin chilis. Southern wiener and nice, soft bun. Cheeseburger was solid, if not spectacular. This is a thin patty burger, with some good flavor. The Chopped BBQ is commercially prepared, so I'd skip it. Not a bad place for a quick bite. read more

Now THIS is 'Old Skool' 50's-style automotive drivie-in dining at it's best. Funky building and you have to eat in your vehicle. The hotdogs are great and their corndogs are simply AWESOME! The real deal - old skool drive-in restaurant complete with wait staff coming to your car. I ate here a few times this past weekend while traveling to Eden and loved it. My go-to was their cheeseburger - which was simply amazing. I also highly recommend the milkshakes. I visit here every time I'm come to visit my parents. It's the perfect drive in and the hotdogs are amazing. All the way is coleslaw, onions and chili. Perfect combination. I will never stop coming here, as long as my parents live in the area. Always worth the visit. read more

I went here tonight and it was horrible. The people that waitress outside are rude, and have attitudes. The bun for my bbq sandwich was really wet, and soggy, the fries were really soft, and soggy too. My fish sandwich tasted like it wasn't fresh, and had been sitting around all night.
