The repair manager lied without hesitation and offered to show me the video where she was watching the person work on my piece and didn't touch the bezel of my diamond. Their mistake; I have a bunch of photos of my original necklace. I had the bezel tested, and it's confirmed: the original 18k bezel is now 14k. The chain is still 18k. I bought this piece in Japan; they are known for their quality. Even with so much evidence of their bad practices, when I sent them a demand letter so we could find a remedy, they ignored me. I told them I'd file a claim in small claims court, but still got no response. I will pursue this not just for myself, but for all the consumers out there. You can never win without concrete evidence, so you'll be left with frustration. Imagine if I didn't have the evidence; it would be their words against mine. I'd have no standing because they claim to be an "established" business. I am also appalled by their arrogance, but I shouldn't be surprised because they are influential.
