Troy was very responsive to phone calls and did warn me that he was a number of months behind because of the number of people needing clock repair. My clock was ready on schedule and I can testify that the work was quite professional. He knows all about clocks! I think he is very meticulous and he wants he treats every clock as if it is his own read more

Mr. Troy was very helpful and knowledgeable. We came in with a gifted novelty cuckoo clock, which needed a key-- he had one to sell at a reasonable cost. It was also missing a pendulum, which he looked up the part number and wrote down all pertinent information so we could replace it on our own since he didn't have one of those on hand as well. He showed us his clock collection and entertained our nearly 5-y-o and both of us by showing the internal mechanisms of his very elaborate "Cadillac" of grandfather clocks, and his really adorable Opa cuckoo clock. We recommend this business for all your clock repair needs and information. read more

A Precision Clock Repair - Our novelty clock that only needs its pendulum to be in great working condition. Thank you, Mr. Troy! - Clock Repair Near Me - El Paso, Texas

I have 2 old clocks which were repaired and cleaned by the owner! His name is Troy and if you have an old clock that needs repair or cleaning Troy is the one for the job! Our antique German clock had a broken pendulum. Troy repaired the pendulum and put in a lever with a string pull which allows the chime to be easily advanced to the correct hour or 1/2 hour. An ingenious innovation that allows setting the chime with ease! THANK YOU Troy you are a genius! The clock keeps excellent time now! Our other clock which belonged to my great great grandfather is a farm house clock which Troy called a gingerbread clock, because of the decorations on top! It did not work at all! Troy repaired and cleaned this sentimental clock I remember from my boyhood days on my grandma's mantle! I am 62 now. Troy is the best clock repairer ever! I am thankful I found him on in West El Paso, Texas. If you need clock repair go see Troy he is THE CLOCK MAN!!!!!!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Feliz Navidad y Buena Suerte Por El Año Nuevo! Troy of A Precision Clock Repair is not the only game in town, but he acts like it. He is smug and accusatory. Nothing is his fault and he will give every excuse in the book. He will not take responsibility for his work, and I'm sure he will assign the blame to me when he responds to this review. He will also dispute that when he returned my clock he said: "You shouldn't have any more trouble with your clock". It failed within 3 months of an expensive repair. I paid the service fee for him to come back. Now he says my clock is unrepairable and he would replace the mechanism at a "discount". In his defense, he will say that he gave me the option to repair the mechanism. When he returned he showed me a piece of paper on which he had scribbled a cost comparison. He admitted that he had not given me those numbers before and then said: "You care a lot about money, don't you?" I felt insulted at this rude comment - and by his attitude. I have found another clock repair specialist who will stand by his work and who has provided clear options and costs. I know that Troy will spin his response to this review and turn the tables to make it look like it is my fault that my clock is still broken. However regardless of all that, I am stunned by his unprofessional manner. read more

I highly recommend this business.  I had bought an Art Deco clock from France and I needed someone to give the clock a tune up and repair a few mechanical issues.  I looked through the reviews of clock repair businesses and this is the one that came up the most as being the ultimate go-to for repairing and revitalizing older clocks.  I met with the owner, Troy, and I was immediately impressed by how much he loves clocks, his clear communication, and his thorough evaluation of the clock.  Once it was ready, he called me and he not only delivered the clock, but also helped me to hang it.  The workmanship was immaculate and all of my friends love the clock and how beautifully it chimes.  Again, Mr. Troy handled the clock with care and admiration.  This was gold to me! Thus, this small local business is the only one I will allow near my Art Deco clock or any others I have or shall acquire in the future.  I have tried other clock repairs services in the El Paso area and the results were fair to middling.  I look forward to doing more business with this jewel of a local business in the future! read more

Worse customer service ever ... owner rude impatient and poor problem solver .. just wants to make money and over charges ... very critical instead of assuring .... don't ever use him read more

. You don't guarentee your work. Also if you don't like the reviews you try to have them removed so others don't see it. We had the clock fixed right by someone else for less money. You came twice to my parents home and accused us of breaking it. I will never ask you to fix anything. What's interesting is you charge for what? read more

Initially quoted 350 to fix grandfather clock. Suddenly the price doubled and he only did a partial repair. Clock still doesn't run correctly and he didn't put it back together right. Of course, he refused to give any warranty on his work. read more

This guy is a rip off He charged me well over 700.00 to not fix my clock or offer any guarantee of his work. He cleaned me and my clock. Don't use him. If you don't pay his excessive pricing which is not given up front you probably won't get your clock back. He threatens and dismisses all complaints as if you broke your own clock and want to simply blame him. I got my clock fixed by another service for less than a hundred dollars. Lillian Elsey read more
