This place's waitlist is fake. It's that simple. I don't know how they actually decide if your kid gets to go here or not but they definitely have a million excuses if they don't want your kids at their school. I'm left only to assume my children aren't welcome because I'm a single mother using financial aid. Unfortunately they're not even kind to you if you don't understand how you could be on the waitlist for over 1.5 years and there's been no change at all. I've spoken to Mary multiple times where she scoffs at almost every question I ask, as if I'm the one that works there and how dare I not know all the answers already, it's like i'm wasting her time. Still i'm left desperate for care which has kept me from leaving this review multiple times. I don't know if the facility can be as good as it looks if the people are this rude to moms (especially those in need). Good luck out there guys, I know it's not easy to find somewhere you'll trust. This year our child Elijah was very fortunate to have gone to summer camp here. This is absolutely the best facility for kids we have ever seen. The staff is superb! His teachers were very talented and loved their work and gave it their all, even at the end of the day when everyone is usually tired. I can't say enough of how impressed we were, day after day, to observe the finest teachers and the most competently run school for kids imaginable. If you are lucky enough to get your kid in here you are fortunate indeed. read more

The least responsive place I've ever experienced. We have three kids and were looking to get on the wait list. After being told the registrar would call us back soon, we waited...and waited. Four days later Jennifer, the registrar, called and left a voicemail at 5 pm. I call back within 10 minutes and she has already left for the day. Another two days of trying and no return phone call. I can't imagine sending a child here and expecting any type of meaningful feedback on a timely basis. I guess they have so many potential students due to the area so they don't care about returning calls. Must be solely due to location. read more

Almost everyone I know loves this preschool. I don't. The rooms are small and the whole building smells bad. Teachers are hit or miss. They have annoying fundraisers all year. Just raise tuition and spare us. Great playground, though. read more

We adore the CDC. Our son has been in full-time care there for four years and our daughter for two, and we couldn't be happier. They have low turnover for a childcare center (in four years and six classes, we've only had a lead teacher change once, though there's been some shuffling of the co-teachers) and we've always had a good experiences with the office staff and director. The infant room in particular was wonderful- it's what initially drew us to the CDC over other centers (two of the infant teachers have been there for over 10 years) and we found it to be a warm, loving place for both of our babies. We are now moving to a new city for a new job opportunity, and the hardest thing to say goodbye to will be the staff and teachers who have been such a big and positive part of our life. read more

Our child has been at the CDC going on 2 years. We love it. The teachers are knowledgeable, personable, and truly seem to care about the well being and development of our child. The curriculum is varied, age appropriate, and way more creative than what I would ever come up with if I was a stay at home mom. They also have staff who have been there for a long time, which is amazing considering the industry and normal turnover! The biggest drawback is its very hard to get into, though once in you are good as they take siblings of other students first followed by circle c residents. I don't think this is really something to fault them on though. I put our name down when I was 5 weeks pregnant, and he got in when he was 6 months old, so yeah, a long wait because its a desirable and awesome center! Also worth noting, I expected the lack of providing lunch and the plethora of holidays closed to be negatives, but I actually like it. That was I can ensure my child is eating healthy lunches I provide vs the normal institutional food. For the school closure days it just means I can use it as an excuse to take the day off and spend more time with my boy. Compared to the Xplor center next door, the facility isn't as new, lunch isn't provided, and they are closed significantly more, but the staff and curriculum more than make up for that. Our child attended the Xplor while we were waiting for the opening at CDC, and I wasn't nearly as impressed. read more

If you need full-time care and only have one child, this review of their WAITLIST process is for you!! We paid the fee to put our child on the waitlist in Aug 2015 (in hopes of her starting in Aug 2016) and yes, we're Circle C residents, so check that box. We were told the class she'd be going into had 24 slots and at the time only had 20 children slated to enter, which led us to believe she pretty much had a guaranteed chance of getting in. When I called in 2016 to inquire why I had not heard anything, I was told my child was #8 on the list. By the way, they only call you if you get in, not if you're still on the list and I had to call 4 times before anyone returned my call. So much for service for the fee I paid! The reasons I was given for her dropping down the list were that they changed class sizes and also that some siblings had been accepted (i.e. they come from other daycare centers or are being taken care of at home and are automatically enrolled since their sibling is already at CDC). These reasons seemed technically acceptable, but the whole thing just didn't feel right. Another year passed and I called this June to get a status. My call was returned with an e-mail (kind of rude in my opinion) and I was informed my daughter is now #24 on the waitlist. WHAT!!? No explanation was provided. It just doesn't seem likely that there are THAT many siblings out there not in care who suddenly need care and since class sizes typically get bigger as children move up, the "class size change" reason doesn't seem likely anymore either. The only thing my husband and I think may be a factor is if the CDC enrolls children into part-time slots then allows them to bypass the waitlist and enter full-time slots at the start of each enrollment year. Well, if you need full-time care year-round and can't take advantage of the sibling benefit, you're pretty much out of luck. I really think anyone enrolling a child in part-time care in hopes of full-time care should be placed on the waiting list with everyone else. We've concluded that the waitlist service fee is really just a great little fundraising effort. read more

We have both of our kiddos enrolled at the Circle C Child Development Center, and it really is as good as it gets! The warmth of the teachers towards the kids and parents is unlike any other school we'd experienced. It's readily apparent that the teaching staff and administration team work together; and that it's a truly happy, positive environment. The student/teacher ratio is also terrific. My advice is get on the waitlist asap - we love this school! read more

Both of my children have attended the CDC and we have been nothing but pleased. The teachers are top notch. The curriculum is very interesting and fun for them and it is a wonderful community of families. Yes, the wait list is long, but it is SO WORTH IT! Do yourself a favor and get on the wait list--it is long for a reason! read more

First I have to say that none of our children ever went there. I just want to share our experience when we went there to get information about the school and "tried" to enroll them there. When we got there to ask about their program no one really took interest in us. They are booked out because they are cheaper than the Children's Courtyard next door (I guess that's the only reason why). We are a military family and can't enroll our children in preschools/daycare/whatever a long time ahead or put them on wait lists for years, since we don't know where we are moving next. Anyway, when we got there they were "surprised" (I try to use a nice word) that we even come by and ask if they have a spot available. They handed us some papers (nothing organized though) and turned away. No one even bothered showing us around - again, they don't need to, they are full. We paid $ 70 to have our son put on the wait list and never heard from them ever again. 18 months have passed and nothing. One time in between my husband called and asked about the wait list, but they didn't give us any information. When we went there is chaotic and didn't look cleaned up. My advice: don't waste your money if you don't have time to wait for years! read more

The Circle C CDC is a first class facility and its teachers are second to none. The teachers are acutely aware that their job is not simply to tend to children, but to teach them, raise them and make them the very best they can be. My kids have been in room 1b for a year and I could not be more pleased with the experience. Their teachers really are wonderful. read more

Our daughter has been in Circle C CDC for 3 years now and we have had a great experience every year. The teachers are very engaged, proactive and nurturing. Our daughter loves going to school, and she has met some great friends. The wait list is long, but it is well worth the wait. Finally, the teachers seem to have a low turn over rate as some of them have been there for several years. For us at least, the CDC is conveniently located. Our daughter attended CDC for 3 years and every year was great! It's a different school in that the staff truly cares about the development (physically, socially, emotionally) of each child and you can feel the love from the top down. We've tried other pre-schools and while 1 was close, none compare. Yes, there is a wait list and it's for a good reason. Get on it now! Both our kids are now at the after school program and the teachers there are kind and loving as well. Can't say enough great things about this well-run organization. read more
