Thanks to The Learning Experience Staff in Buda for providing excellent care. They were extremely warm, responsive, and welcoming us with an empathy They have a curriculum that is followed and emailed. You can check on your kid via phone application which comes super handy, and it is always great to see them smiling. Healthy breakfasts and healthy lunches are provided each day, along with snacks in between. They have a nice playground that the kids love playing on when it is nice outside. Along with the day-to-day activities, they are always doing special things like his first day was a reptile show :) Wednesdays are splash days. Pick-up/Drop-Off is extremely easy I never waited more than a minute. We have been apart of the TLE family since August 2021 when we moved from Austin to Buda. COVID was still rampant so we enrolled my oldest son, who was 3 at the time, sight unseen and spent the next year dropping off and picking up at the front door only having a minute or two to interact with the teachers and staff. It was a tough transition for us coming from a tight, close knit "montessori" like community (in the middle of COVID) but the staff at TLE were incredible in helping my son transition. He not only successfully transitioned but thrived. In Jan. 2023 we added my youngest (who was just shy of 2). My youngest was always behind in hitting his developmental milestones and, naturally, I was worried. Worried he would be so behind, worried he wouldn't be able to keep up or he wouldn't fit in with his class. I voiced my concerns up front and everyone involved in his "day to day" went above and beyond for him (and me!). We had a HUGE scare that November when he had a seizure while there, his first one ever. Im in the medical field but was a mess arriving. They administered first aid and called EMS. He was, fortunately, just fine but I was beyond impressed (and grateful) for the compassion, support and LOVE that the staff not only showed my son, but me. Every child is so loved, you can feel it the second you walk in. Fast forward to my oldest graduating and beginning kinder in the fall of 2023 - his teacher was SHOCKED at how much he already knew. His math skills were beyond a kinder level and she raved about his handwriting. We have TLE to thank for that. read more

Every teacher has been incredibly loving and kind. My son will often ask for Ms Hilda outside of school hours. She has made such a huge impact in his life and he really cares for her. Do your research and look into other facilities. Start with researching the TLE Corporation Lawsuits and go down the rabbit hole from there. Also, be sure to go on Facebook and look into the Buda Kyle Moms group and look up TLE. After that, I am confident that you will make a choice that will be best for you and your family as you will clearly see that TLE is NOT the best choice. I am a firm believer that with childcare, how they handle themselves, and their actions when an issue arises has a lot to do with your comfort level as a parent. In our experience, these franchise owners of TLE Buda, and the TLE Corporate level team only care about their bottom line. We moved to The Kiddie Academy recently and they have made us feel extremely safe after a month of extreme out-of-the-norm behaviors with our 3-year-old. It took 9 days for him to level out after leaving TLE and he has been back to himself since then. Seeing him come full circle was even more validating that he was telling us the truth about the abuse he was experiencing. The main thing that makes us feel safe is the fact that they have cameras that record at Kiddie Academy, and the parents can have access to the cameras to watch their children. If you suspect an issue of abuse, or anything else, you are able to get them to review the camera footage and take action. TLE chooses to have a security system that DOES NOT RECORD. HUGE RED FLAG!!! If your little one starts to act way out of character and starts telling you that he is being hit and pinched by his teachers, TLE does not allow recording, thus, they do not allow for accountability. They will deny everything you tell them and will only be concerned about filling your spot when you choose to leave. In a day in age where we can all pull a video of Amazon dropping a package off at our front door, I cannot comprehend why a childcare facility would not have cameras that record. It makes zero sense. The ONLY thing that makes sense, is that they do not want to deal with the liability of having accountability. Any childcare setting that truly cares about providing a safe environment for your children more than the money, will have cameras that record, and they are prepared to hold people accountable for what they may find on those cameras. The response I will receive to this will be the standard " Thank you please email concerns@tle". But let it be known, we have been emailing TLE corporate since August 29th and Richard Weissman, the founder, and CEO, has ignored every email sent, and there are 39 parents copied on the email thread. I suspect he will continue to ignore it. Please look into a different childcare option for the sake of yourself and your children. I feel terrible for any child in their care. read more

Brought my 3 year old here for our first experience with school/daycare and she settled in very quickly! All staff, teachers, helpers, front office have always been amazingly helpful and nice! My 3 year old loves going here everyday and loves her teachers and friends! Highly recommend! We've been at TLE for over a year now and our son loves it. He's made lots of friends and his learning development has been great. Best of all, his teacher Miss Elia potty trained him in just weeks. We hardly did anything at home beyond follow her guidance and he was fully potty trained very quickly. He loves Miss Elia very much. When we read bedtime stories he points at characters and lists his friends at school and always includes Miss Elia. The school is also very responsible about promptly calling with any incident reports (which are bound to happen and never feel like negligence). Their front desk staff is kind and all teachers are friendly. Overall, we're happy with our choice and grateful for the wonderful team at TLE. read more

I REALLY wanted to love this place. We moved my son (2.5) from his Mother's Day out class into TLE so I could spend more time with my ill mother. My neighbor raved about it and the reviews were great so I thought I would love it too. Looking back now, there were some red flags that I thought were one-offs, but now I think that was just the way this place is run. On two separate occasions, my husband and I were walking down the hallway (individually) to pick up our son from Prepper A class, and heard yelling / very rude tones coming from the teachers, before they saw us there. We both called each other those days and discussed how the women's tones changed the second they saw a parent was there. It went from an angry and intimidating "GET IN THERE" (diaper changing) to a calm and gentle, "ok you've got to go in there, sweetie". Or a "GET ON THE WALL!" to a calm "come on guys, we have to stay against the wall". My husband said that the teacher looked mortified that my husband had overheard her speaking that way to the students. She probably thought she would be reported, is the way he described her reaction. We thought maybe they were having bad days, and tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. The 3rd and final straw (in our less than 4 weeks at TLE) was when I picked up my son and saw one kid asleep on the mat, one kid being changed, lots of kids doing their own things, one teacher trying to clean up nap time (much later than the scheduled end of nap time), and two kids sitting at the table. A little boy was sitting across from a little girl. The little boy had his nap mat on the table and was pushing it across the table and into the little girls chest. She said "no", and he smirked and did it again. She said "no" again, and he smirked again, and did it. I looked at both teachers to see if they had any idea that this was happening. They did not notice at all. The girl was getting increasingly upset (sad), so I said "hey, she said no" in the gentlest and kindest way that I could. The little boy didn't seem to hear me so I said it again. Then, the teacher changing diapers hears that I'm still there (to pick up my son, who is standing next to me by the front door), and she looks at the teacher cleaning up the mats and says "hey, can you help her?" she sounded very annoyed that I was still there. The woman cleaning up asked what else I needed. I said I wanted to take his sheet home because he would not be coming back. She got his sheet off the mat and gave it to me. The little boy was no longer pushing the little girl. And I thought, if that happens in front of me, what happens behind closed doors. These poor kids. We called the next day to withdraw our son. They asked me to send an email in writing, and told me that there was a 2 week notice period per their policy, so we would still be charged for the two weeks we weren't bringing him. I asked for an exit interview so I could explain in detail all of the concerns to the director. I started the meeting asking if there was both video and audio recording in all the classrooms. She said that there was, and that part of her job is to listen in to audit the teachers every month or week or something (can't remember what she said). Again my compassionate (maybe naive) nature is to give the benefit of the doubt, so I thought maybe she hadn't heard any of the bad times the teachers were yelling at the kids. Now thinking back, I don't think there's any way she couldn't have heard at least SOMETHING. This was not their first time speaking to the kids this way. So now I think... either the director doesn't do her required auditing, or she hears it and doesn't care. The teacher who I heard being cruel had been there over a year. My husband and I told the director everything that we heard and witnessed. I used the same tone the teachers used when describing the incidents. The director let me finish and "apologized" and told me she would do "coaching" with the teachers. She was not very apologetic. More political and speaking from a workbook on how to deal with complaints rather than from the heart as a parent herself. Again, my son was not the one being spoken to cruelly or bullied. Maybe she would have been more apologetic if it had been him. Regardless, her response was underwhelming. At the end of the meeting, I asked if we could receive a refund for the two weeks that we did not bring our son (due to the emotional and physical safety concerns we had) and she said she would check, but we haven't heard anything from them. I'm unable to sleep, writing this almost a month after he stopped going there, because I wish I could call each parent in that class and share what I saw. I've thought about it a lot, and you cannot "coach" an adult on how to be kind to a child. You either speak to them politely or cruelly. The tones we heard were intending to SCARE the children into compliance. I just hope I help someone make an informed decision by sharing this. read more

I worked at the learning experience in buda for three years in the preschool class and absolutely loved my job!! The staff was amazing to be around and the management was so helpful with everything and very good with helping you with anything you need. My experience with TLE - Buda was back in 2022, but I was inspired to share my review here after talking with a mom whose child started in the infant room and is currently there. I took a look and saw this high rating on yelp -- but if you are considering TLE, please read all the reviews before committing to this center. I know that waiting lists are long and terrible -- and that this area desperately needs more high quality childcare options. But hear me out. In my opinion, TLE charges an arm and a leg for subpar care. I believe that everyone who is working there cares a lot, but in my time there (around 5 months before we found a spot elsewhere), the teachers were overwhelmed and understaffed and my child started falling behind on her milestones. Things I remember: 1. All of the staff was new. Everyone in every room seemed incredibly unprepared and underresourced for the role. Something is happening there that is making them backflip through staff. Each new employee seemed to really care for the kids, but made obvious mistakes constantly. I remember a staff member telling me that my kid liked to play with her keys (don't let my infant child play with your dirty keys!!). 2. They would lose my child's milk bottles and find them the next day -- and instead of calling to tell me, they would say "oh -- there wasn't any milk today" at pick up. Meaning that my kid was just left hungry all day. I sent teething biscuits and they returned them all in a bag after a month -- meaning that she wasn't getting practice with beginner solid foods when I thought she was. 3. They would push back feeding times, and it only got worse the longer we were there. It seemed like everyone was hoping to make it to the end of their shift so that it became someone else's problem. I'd regularly pick up my kid at 5pm with her bottle in the warmer when she was supposed to eat at 2. 4. My child was not sitting up on time, and the doctor asked about her daycare at that point. I told them they said she was the "easiest baby" and the doctor was concerned she was being ignored. I brought it up and they said, "she's so little that I forget how old she is!" 4. On top of monthly payment increases while we were there, they also were constantly running "fundraisers" and asking for donations or money. I'm assuming this is some kind of franchise competition within the TLE corporation. I can't recommend this place -- they need to get their act together and provide better care (to the children and to the staff) if they want to deserve their high rating on yelp. read more

My son has been attending the learning experience for the past 2 months and we absolutely love it. I feel the school is very safe and clean. The staff are all so friendly especially Ms Deb in the infant room. She always has a smile on her face and my son is always happy to greet her in the mornings at the drop off. I was sooooo nervous for my baby girl to start daycare, but TLE Buda has made it a breeze! My baby girl loves all her teachers, is always smiling when I pick her up/in her pictures and everyone is so nice. I feel extremely comfortable leaving my daughter here while at work knowing how well she is taken care of. Everyone at the daycare is so kind, it is well maintained and the security measures taken make me feel even better. There are a ton of Infant A teachers/helpers and every single one is amazing. Deb, Elaina & Trinity I see the most and they are wonderful. Our first two children started here pretty much as soon as they opened. We thought we were done when they moved to elementary school, but nope! A third came along and we are so happy to have him at TLE. We started him at a much earlier age than the other two, but the infant teachers at TLE are amazing. We trust Ms. Deb, Ms. Norma, Ms. Elaina, Ms. Tori and Ms. Trinity to help our son reach his goals and are so comfortable with him in their care. They have eliminated any hesitation we had about starting him at day care at 4 months. They give him the attention I couldn't working from home, and I am so very grateful. I would recommend TLE to anyone and everyone. We tested out some other daycares when our first two were super little, and this is by far the best. We are so glad we chose TLE for our little one! He loves going to school and does several activities each day, including art, sign language, library time, and exercise. The staff is very friendly, but Ms. Ashley in the toddler room is THE BEST! I feel completely comfortable leaving him with her and knowing he will have a great day. My grandson is thriving since coming here, his teacher Maddie is amazing and you can tell she loves her job.... The new Director Dileasha is such a sweet caring person, the communication I receive from her is a A plus... She has answered every question I come with her at and never makes me feel like I'm a burden, like I got at other places... I feel the center has improved since she came on board.... My grandson has never been happier.... During Covid it's been a trying time for all and to know that he is safe and well taken care of and thriving during all this makes my heart happy.... My son has been at TLE Buda since he was 3 months old. He's now 2.5 and in the prepper room. We love TLE for so many reasons! Safety is always their priority, before and during Covid. If my son gets hurt in the smallest way they call just to let me know. Their communication is amazing and definitely one of my favorite things. My son was in a local Montessori (won't say which one) in Buda and after five months we withdrew him. My husband and I were very disappointed with the lack of curriculum and discipline. It was too "hippy-ish" for our liking. Praying to the earth, stars and rain before a meal...yeah not our cup of tea. We are so thankful for The Learning Experience (TLE). The first day there, our three year old son was showing us sign language they taught. First day!!!! He's been there two months now and he's talked to us about pyramids being in Egypt, five different ASL, songs...the list is endless. He arrives home tired since they go ham at the playground. He learns and play, which is a win win. Not to beat a dead horse, but my son did not learn ANYTHING at that Montessori. The potty training experience was also a nightmare there. Back to TLE... the owners/directors are very kind. So are the teachers. I'm still learning their names but our favorite is Ms Ciara. Hope this review helps parents make a decision. I give so many props to Ms. Monica and Ms. Debbie( twaddler teachers) they treat Kynzie and the rest of the kids as if they were their own! My son has attended 3 different daycares in our area. We loved our first daycare and truly felt like they loved our family too. It was a family owned daycare and did not have a strong curriculum program. After two years we decided that he would be better prepared for elementary in a facility that had a stronger program so we left. It was a very tough decision for us but after we saw how much he learned at the new place we felt better about it for a short time. The new center was part of a chain of highly respected ones across multiple states. While we appreciated the focus on learning at this center we missed the feeling of family and so did our son. For the year that we were there he fought us almost every morning because he did not want to go to school and was ready to leave at the end of each day. At TLE we have found the best of both worlds. Our son is nurtured and loved while working through an advanced curriculum. Best of all, he is so happy! Almost a year later and he is still so excited about his "new school". He is ready to go to each morning, never wants to leave in the afternoon, and is sad that he can't go on the weekends. We hate that he moved around so much but know that we've found a place for him to finish out his time in daycare that will more than prepare him for elementary both scholastically and emotionally. read more

New to Buda, and had heard so many great things about The Learning Experience at other locations, so we decided to give this one a try. Hands down best decision we have ever made. We have one in preschool and another on the way, and we are so excited to have both of our kiddos there. The staff is so friendly, loving, and nice. The hallways and office are decorated every month, and my preschooler has so much art work that he participates in, and he loves it! I can see my son playing outside on the playscape when I pass by on the main drag of Buda, which can also be a splash pad for when it is "Texas" hot outside. Lastly, the curriculum my son learns is insane. He comes up to me and tells me what he learned that day, and I will hear him having conversations when he is playing with friends or at home with us, and I think to myself oh my gosh where did my little boy go? I am happy with the progress he has had at The Learning Experience here in Buda, and I cannot wait for our new one to start!
