I was inclined to eat at a very popular diner in the Main Street, but chose CCB&G instead. It was up the road a little more than a mile but we'll worth avoiding the overcrowded diner At CCB&G, the dining room was closed but they were serving in the bar area. The bar was relatively quiet, despite having 2 tv's with sports channels on. A bartender and one server were in duty. (Both very pretty women BTW) The bartender was quick to take my order (only a root beer) & called over the waitress. The menu had a nice selection of typical sandwiches and burgers so I asked which sandwich was popular. She recommended the turkey melt, so I rolled the dice, taking her suggestion. Wow! What a great sandwich. Served on large, grilled Texas toast, it oozed with hot cheese and turkey. Yum. It also came with a choice of shoestring or seasoned fries. I chose the seasoned which were definitively right out of the fryer, piping hot and crispy, just how I like them. The waitress was highly attentive, checking back with me several times to see if I needed anything else or wanted a dessert. Being the aged chauvinist I am, I replied; "Dessert (?) heavens no. Just seeing you 2 pretty girls is plenty dessert for me." She chuckled and talked about my road trip and her background as a local Bagdagian. In all, my experience was great and will definitely be back on a future road trip. I don't know what the local diner is like, but they were now closed when I drove out of town, shortly after 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. So, IMO, that's another reason to to to Copper Country Bar & Grill.

We had the Rib Eye, loaded baked potato, and a dinner salad (that is the meal) and it was great! The steak was cooked exactly med-rare, grilled crisp on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside - no steak sauce required! Made a happy plate of that! We also had cheesy bread and grilled steak bites; both were really good. Then dessert!!! Oh man the pie ala mode was great, fried ice cream was light and crispy, and the strawberry shortcake was really good - I loved them all! lol ... they have happy hour on food and drinks. I think it was a couple dollars off drinks, but appetizers were half price. Finally, we shared a bottle of Stags Leap Artemis Cab ... it was totally affordable! The whole bill was reasonable, that wine was a deal, and the service pulled it all together by being timely, having a good sense of humor, and keeping the courses coming. Great job!

We had a nice day in Sedona, in awe of the beautiful red rocks, God's creation! We wanted to go eat somewhere closer to where we are staying with our RV, so decided to stop in Cottonwood. I looked up reviews for this restaurant, and we decided to give it a try. We were seated right away at a cozy booth, and our server, Laura was quick to bring us liquid refreshments! We looked over the menu and we each decided on the double smash burgers with a fantastic dill pickle aoli sauce...and house fries on the side. Holy cow! This was a great ending to a nice day! The wagyu patties were cooked perfectly, they were juicy and tender. The lettuce, tomato and onion were perfect compliments to the cheddar cheese and the delicious aoli...the bun was fresh and soft. I took one bite and my taste buds were dancing! The fries were equally as good, super crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. May I have the recipe, please! After the meal, we HAD to compliment the chef, John, on his culinary expertise! Our meal was a great experience, and after our train trip tomorrow, we will be coming back for a steak! Thank you, Laura & John!!

Traveling back to Arizona, we knew we had to return, and once again, it exceeded every expectation. The filet mignon is simply out of this world--served sizzling in a cast iron skillet with clarified butter, it's incredibly flavorful, perfectly cooked, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. It's the kind of dish you think about long after the meal is over. What really sets this place apart, though, is the people. The staff consistently go above and beyond, creating an experience that feels both elevated and welcoming. And Michael, the manager, is exceptional--so accommodating, attentive, and genuinely invested in making every guest feel taken care of. It's rare to find a restaurant that delivers this level of quality and consistency twice, let alone make you want to keep coming back. Without a doubt, one of the greatest dining experiences in the USA. We'll absolutely be back again.

The crab cakes were pretty bland and not worth $20. The waitress didn't check up on us again until we were done and came to refill my ice tea one time but halfway. We were excited to try this place but sadly it seems like we came on a bad day. I will say that the hostess was super bubbly and nice we loved how welcoming she was.
