Absolutely unacceptable experience. The room was heavily infested with bugs, including insects covering the beds. We have clear photo and video evidence documenting the condition of the room. When we attempted to resolve the issue and request a refund, management was unavailable and has since ignored all calls and communication attempts. No guest should ever be placed in a room with these conditions. This situation is now being reported to the Better Business Bureau, local health authorities, and consumer protection agencies. We are giving the business an opportunity to make this right before escalating further. read more

Any and all reservations made at this hotel were canceled long before their cancellation policy.They falsely claimed I had a booking number that neither me nor IHG has any record of. IHG confirmed any and all reservations made at this hotel were canceled by me long before cancellation policy but they charged $358.28 for a no show saying I had another booking that no one made nor does anyone have record of: Do not make rese here as they charge fraudulent charges and don't answer calls or emails. read more

I don't know how this is a 4-star hotel. The pics online are not accurate - It's much more shabby and worn. There are no curtains, wallpaper, throw pillows or blanket. The shower had black and pink MOLD all over in the grout and caulk. The room had a dank musty smell. The rooms with an outside entrance have emergency lights in front of the window, so light will blast your face when you're trying to sleep. There are no blackout shades. The AC made a loud clanging noise, preventing any semblance of sleep. I had to ask the front desk agent several times to move rooms, as he didn't seem to believe me about the issues I had with ours. The new room smelled better, the AC was quiet, and there was less mold in the shower. There was still a good amount of mold. It did have a leaky shower and a broken hair dryer instead. The only parking is the hotel-owned lot across the street that's $45/day. The gym is smaller than our actual room and is an un-air conditioned, windowless prison cell in a basement. The weights are rusty and about 2 people can squeeze in there, if you're brave enough. It's super hot and just GRIM. There are no mats (not like there is room to put one though) and no water either. Housekeeping didn't come on day 2, so I requested it, as I needed towels and trash removal. The housekeeping guy told me someone said they cleaned my room, and didn't believe me that they didn't. He made me walk him to my room to show him. I had been gone all day, and just returned. It was 5pm. He said, "So you didn't just get in the bed and mess it up?!" Um no, and I didn't just fill up 2 trash bags with leftovers either. Housekeeping didnt come on day 3 so we had to request it AGAIN. They told us it was supposed to be cleaned daily. Having to prove multiple times that shit wasn't working correctly and wasn't clean was really frustrating. The only pros are the courtyard is nice, and the beach is a block away. From 9-5 there are chairs and umbrellas out just for the hotel guests. There isn't anything to do around the area, barely any restaurants or bars that are that close to walk to. The rooms were around $400/night when I stayed there. It felt more like a Holiday Inn instead of a 4 star hotel. Save your money, get a clean shower, and go somewhere else. read more

I was looking for a hotel near the beach as well as near the cruise port. I stayed here for a day before going on a cruise. Overall, it was a great experience. It's a cute hotel. Right when we pulled up, someone came out to bring our bags in. We were there very early And they took our bags and told us that they could get our room in an hour. We were very happy about that and waited as check-in is not until 4 PM. The room itself is on the small side however it was very clean and cute. They include Robes for two people. There is a refrigerator as well as a mini coffee maker with some coffee. The coffee is complementary, but the two water bottles next to it are not. They are eight dollars each. There are no sign telling you that. The only thing that was negative for us personally is the lack of electrical plugs. They do have an alarm clock with multiple USB charger ports, but using an iPhone we did not have the correct USB charger. There was only one electrical plug on the other side of the room behind the table in order to charge our phones. I really wanted to go to the beach however going in December I did not realize how cold the water would be. It is a short walk across the street in between two buildings. You cannot see it from the hotel, but it is a short walk. There we each had a lounge chair and a shared umbrella reserved. The weather was nice and took a nap at the beach. We did go back to the hotel and use the pool as it was heated. Unfortunately, their website is not accurate with the restaurant they have. The restaurant online states it was Jules and that it has room service. When I went there, it is called Tiki burgers, pool and grill. So they do need to update their website. The restaurant is on their porch and as well as inside the lobby area with a bar. It seems like most of the hotels on that street are similar set up. There is a CVS two doors down to purchase bottled water, snacks or things if you're interested. They do not have an actual pharmacy, but there is a Walgreens over the bridge. When booking the room on their website, it asked if we wanted to include breakfast. We added the breakfast to our room. It did not give us any information about what was included in the breakfast. When we checked in, we were given a card for the breakfast. We went to the restaurant in the morning and we were told that eggs, bacon or turkey sausage, and toast with coffee was the only breakfast available with purchasing it with the room. They did have lots of selection of other breakfast items to buy if you do not purchase it with the room. . I do recommend checking out Circa 39 hotel . I definitely would stay there again. read more

This place is really cute! Sure, there is some wear & tear, but it's a pretty good place to stay! It's not beach front but it's just steps away from the beach. If you rent a car, there is no free parking for hotel guest. We ended up parking across the street from the hotel which was $45 per 24 hours. There's a restaurant in the hotel, we didn't eat here but we did get a smoothie and sat by the pool one morning. The smoothie was delicious. CVS is like a 3 min walk from the hotel, which is so nice because you can go and get snacks (which is way cheaper then going and sitting down somewhere to eat) Overall, I recommend this place. read more

The food was beyond tasteless. I mean, no flavor at all. I ordered the Sweet Chili Cauliflower, the Fried Brussel Sprouts, and the Buffalo Wings. I opted to have all items brought out together, but all 3 were "room temperature." The Bay Breeze drink was good though I didn't taste any alcohol. What the restaurant had going for it was the outside terrace where I ate. But the cloth napkin was permanently stained making me question things. Would I go back? Dec' 2023 \\ We stayed here for two nights before we disembarked on a cruise. The staff was very welcoming. We stayed in room 1102. The room was cozy & the bed was comfortable. It was perfect for my (adult) son & I. The only downside to the room was that it smelt a little musky but it didn't bother us much as we brought an air purifier that seemed to help. The hotel was conveniently located near a cafe, CVS, liquor store & was within a couple minute walk to the beach. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was good - our server Jemay was fabulous! Even though he seemed to be in the weeds, he kept a smile on his face. The drinks that we had with dinner were delicious!! Keep an eye on your bill, Miami tends to include 18% gratuity automatically - I found this out later - after I had left a $30 cash tip, doh! I ate at the restaurant. Don't do it! I ordered mediterranean platter as appetizer. A fish sandwich and a chicken sandwich. We waited almost an hour to get the food...they brought the chicken sandwich and a meatball which wasn't ordered. I said something to the waitress that I didn't order a meatball. She said she knows. I said to just cancel the appetizer and bring the fish sandwich. Waited awhile. The waitress said she would give a discount. This was my first time visiting Miami and my partner picked this place bcus she'd stayed here before. The hotel is nice and colorful. Very inviting on the outside. Our room was not ready when we arrived so they stored our bags for us and we went to see sights and grab something to eat. Pros. Location was close to a lot of really nice places to eat and stores to get necessities. Liquor stores are literally everywhere you look so you can avoid their really high drink prices. Across the street from the beach. Really friendly restaurant staff. Cons. The towels had hair in the them. The shower had so much hair in it. We requested another room and never got it. They didn't give enough towels for a room with 2 guest. They said we had to request cleaning 24 hours in advance due to staffing and we understood. We go out one day and come back to our bed made and no towels at all. Trash emptied from one can but not the other. Very important items were left out bcus we assumed no one would enter. It was quite weird to half clean a room when no one requested it. The view from our room look directly into the room of the building next door so the windows had to stay closed the entire trip and a room with a view was requested at booking. The room is really small and not functional for more than one guest. I would not stay here again when visiting Miami. I took pics of everything except this room. Smh. read more

We had a great one night stay here--this is an awesome option for the price point. One block to the beach with free comfy lounge chairs, a small cute private pool, and a bar/restaurant on site. The hotel itself is super cute with bright and colorful decor. The downsides were how packed the pool area got in the afternoon and the long wait for a drink at wunderbar at happy hour. Great little hotel just off the beach. Easy access to the boardwalk, beach and trolley. They have chairs and umbrellas for guests daily until 5:00. The staff was friendly. The only real problems we had were 1) the doors are out of alignment and have to be slammed to to get them to latch and lock behind you. So in the morning and evening you will hear doors slamming constantly because it's the only way they latch. Not ideal. We also came back to our room one evening to find another guests clothes in one of our suitcases. It had been misplaced by the housekeeper apparently. All in all a great stay. We did not eat at the restaurant but there is a nice little bodega next door and a pizza place a couple doors down as well as a CVS. read more

Circa 39 is the diamond in Miami Beach. The perfect hotel for normal people, as opposed to the people who prefer the Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, or The Betsy. Pricing is good MB value. Hotel has beach access no different than a beach front hotel. Bar is fine. Rooms clean. Liv is 10 minute walking distance north, South Beach 5 minute Uber/Lift ride south. A fabulous deli is next door north and an outstanding coffee shop, Crema south on 34 Street. The north south street is Collins. And for those basic necessities like toothpaste, CVS is two blocks north. Of course for me if you act on my recommendations will be catastrophic, I want Circa 39 all to myself. read more

Solid hotel option in Miami Beach! I love the charm of smaller boutique hotels, and Circa 39 does that fantastically. Pros: - The lobby and lounge area are well-appointed and cutely decorated! Such a nice place to hang out during breakfast or while you're waiting for an Uber. - The pool was warm, clean, and beautiful -- we took a dip several times during our 3-night stay (even with an impending tropical storm on the way)! - Staff was incredibly kind and well-humored. The front desk person always greeted us when we came back to the hotel, day or night. - Free parking (a $24/day value) if you book directly through the hotel! It's so hard to find cheap parking in Miami so this was a huge deciding factor in booking our stay. - The beach is only a block away, and there is a liquor literally across the street so you never have to stay dry ;) Cons: - The bathroom was on the smaller side, but overall not a huge issue. Would have loved a tub to soak in after walking around all day, but can't complain when the prices for the room are this competitive! - It is an older building so the walls aren't super thick -- our neighbors upstairs seemed to be moving furniture or stomping around every day, but not a huge annoyance. We had such a great time in MIA and Circa 39 was a great base to explore the whole area. We'd 100% stay there again! read more

My absolute favorite SoBe Boutique hotel!!! It's a little further up Collins away from all the ocean drive hubbub but close enough that on a good day I didn't mind walking down that way via the boardwalk. This hotel is charmingly cute! I love the decor and vibe so much that we've stayed here twice on two visits to Miami 2019. This time was in August. Both times the staff was so accommodating and allowed us to check in early. This was so appreciated as we were then able to enjoy their beach and pool amenities. The provide you with towels and chairs at the beach (umbrellas are extra) The pool was refreshing and had wonderful seating surrounded by lush botanicals. Another wonderful perk is the onsite bar. Our bartender Tanya was friendly and attentive! I will definitely continue to come here when in town! I just love this place read more

5 star and I'm very picky about hotels! The staff - 5 star. Mario & Douglas are so accommodating and friendly. The rooms 5 star, very comfortable and clean. I usually don't sleep well anywhere other than my home- I slept so good, every single night! They have a nice grab and go breakfast every morning with fresh fruit, a fresh croissant, coffee and juice. We had the pool pretty much to ourselves everytime. Clean grounds. The hospitality staff are so nice and clean very well. Restaurants and the beach are both walking distance. We caught the local trolly and bus right outside near the hotel and went everywhere we wanted to go for free! When we come back to Miami- we will be checking in at the Circa 39 hotel! Unfortunately we had to transfer our lodging from a not so "New" hotel which was a dangerous, sketchy and a disgusting horror show. Happily, we found new accommodations at CIRCA 39. Our stay was comfortable, clean, safe and affordable. The decor is very "boutique" and our room was spacious and comfy with clean white linens and towels. The bathroom was a little tight and shower and floor tiles need to be updated. Also, more hooks or towels bars are needed. Amenities like the pool, restaurant, complimentary beach lounge chairs and towels were convenient and appreciated. The proximity to the beach is only a block across the street and chair side food and drink service was a pleasant surprise. The staff was friendly, professional and accommodating. Ally at the front desk was amazing. For the money, the Circa ticks all the boxes and I would definitely return. Separate note - parking in Miami is a major issue and expense. No free breakfast and you are far from anything really going on and theres no cheap parking if you have a car. Stayed here for a wedding because it was the cheapest and most resonable option for that weekend. The front lobby was very well decorated and the front desk staff was very nice and accommodating. The outside pool and lounge chairs were beautiful, updated and of good quality. Our room wasn't located in the main hotel-the room itself was decent however the bathroom was a bit dark and small. The lock on the bathroom slider didn't work so the door would slide open as you used the restroom. Very awkward and not comfortable. Walls were paper thin but thankfully we weren't in the room much. I would say the room was overpriced. Breakfast-online it says that Jules is open from 7am-11am for breakfast...beware that this is a breakfast buffet not breakfast service. I was very disappointed after hearing this because buffet is not my thing. Beach towels and chair service was great...walk to the beach was about 3 minutes. We were able to get late checkout and the staff held our bags while we enjoyed the rest of the day. In all, this hotel and staff were so nice and accommodating. Lovely mid-Beach boutique hotel . Great location. One block from the Indian Creek bus stop on Collins Ave. Next door is the Primo Market & Cafe, where you can get sandwiches, coffee, empanadas salads, stuff you need for the beach (flip flops, sunblock, etc.). Walgreens is on the next block. My room was located in a building connected by a walkway. Super clean, comfortable and quiet. There are window shutters which you can flip up or down. Bring a sleep mask if you're a light sleeper. Hotel staff very professional. Inviting and comfortable public areas. There's a small pool at the side of the building if you don't feel like going to the beach. They're across the street from the beach and you have access to beach chairs. I booked through a 3rd party site, so was charged a resort fee which covers internet access, beach towels, beach access, etc. Would happily stay there again. At the time of this review, there is roadwork going on up and down Collins Ave. - cars can't go u turns into the other lane. If you're taking a care to Wynwood or downtown Miami, you're going to want to be picked up across the street, because it'll be much quicker to get off Miami Beach. read more

Beautiful and lovely stay HOWEVER... I am giving this a 3 star because we had booked on Hotwire and when we arrived at the hotel and checked in, the next morning I noticed they had double billed me at a higher rate on top of what I had paid Hotwire. I had nearly $1500 plus $200usd refundable deposit unavailable to me on my CC because of this error and there was no apology made. They just said "Oops, that really sucks. We'll reverse it once you check out" this was such an inconvenience and extremely annoying as I still had 2 full days in Miami and an additional 4 days in Orlando, plus a journey back to Canada and had close to $2000 just suspended because someone made this error and with it being over a weekend and New Years I knew I wouldn't be seeing that money until much after I departed FL. The Coffee was not refilled when they cleaned the room. Towels were not replaced and the room my parents stayed in (115) was above the kitchen and smelled like a greasy bucket of oil all morning till breakfast was done being cooked. Parking is an extra $25, and breakfast is $20pp and it's a standard continental that would be Free at most large chain hotels so I would say it's not worth it for the price. There is a cute place right next door to the left that is cheaper and has more options. Other than that... it is a very beautiful, comfortable and affordable boutique hotel. The bed was very comfortable, rooms are very clean and big. It has a beautiful quaint pool area in the front and terrace in the back. The free street trolly is one block back and runs regularly. It's a lovely stay just beware of the few things mentioned and some of the hidden costs. read more
