Wow, amazing Italian restaurant! You will need to get reservations for prime days! Walked in, and you can smell the goodness that will be served you! As in Italy we started off with a bottle of wine. Very nice. Our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly, and offered great selections. She told us that we were lucky because they got in a few White Truffles. And suggested to switch out the Black Truffles for the White and we did. Yes, there was a small up charge, but these are White Truffles! I ordered the Lobster Linguine, wow great flavor! Also got the Tagliolini with White Truffles and the Amatriciqna Al Cesannese all were Amazing! This restaurant was one of my top 2 restaurants that we ate at in Rome! The Service and Presentation was on Point! If you are visiting Rome this place is a must try! Cheers

Best meal of my whole trip. Staff was amazing, when booking they specifically let us know our seat would be next to the door to be considerate. Highly recommend, make a reservation!

We had gotten a reservation before getting to Rome and it was a great find! I tried the gluten-free beef ragu, and it was a different take on ragu, but it was delicious! The gluten-free pasta was just as good as regular pasta. I also tried the meatballs which were really flavorful. We got tiramisu for dessert and it was one of the best ones we had our whole trip! So much coffee flavor! The staff was helpful and attentive. The only minor issue was that it was very warm in the restaurant, but it is definitely still worth visiting!

Exquisite decor and last meal worthy. I came by myself and had a delightful and delicious experience. Five star service and the food just melted in my mouth. I had the pumpkin Tortoli and the squid with a salad. So much food but too good to not finish. Would recommend to everyone. I came by myself with no reservation and they were so nice and were able to fit me in and boy am I glad.

Absolutely delicious! Very cute restaurant and great atmosphere. Incredibly kind staff and impeccable service. Food was outstanding! The truffle pasta is a must try. They also have non-alcoholic bottles of wine.

Incredible food, service, ambience, all the things. The crispy egg was fantastic (thank you, Adriana for the recommendation!) as was the ricotta mousse pear dessert. Was recommended by a friend and have to agree - best meal in Rome. Booking a reservation was also very easy - we called and then communicated a bit on WhatsApp. Allora, thank you so much for a lovely evening!!!

We were in Rome for two nights and I saw how highly rate on TripAdvisor Cipasso Bistrot was, and also saw it mentioned on the Michelin Guide website as well, so I figured it had to be good and we needed to try it while we were visiting Rome! We made a reservation online and they reconfirmed their available date and time slots via WhatsApp. They were able to accommodate our time within I believe a 30 minute window. The restaurant is very small so I recommend booking in advance. We made our reservation about a month or two in advance. We arrived for our dinner time about 15 minutes prior to the reservation time and they had our table ready and we were warmly greeted by a manager and shown to our table. For drinks, they have wine by the glass and the bottle. I recommend ordering by the bottle, I believe the most expensive bottle was around 30 euros. The wine by the glass was between 10 and 15 euros. We ordered a bottle of white wine, I can't remember which one, but it was outstanding! For appetizers, we ordered the Crostino Cacao e Pepe (9.50 euros) and it included two pieces of bread with cheese and toppings and it was outstanding! For entrees, my husband and I both ordered the Pappardelle and Duck (18 euros each) and it was outstanding, tons of flavor and a nice portion! A true highlight of the meal! We finished with an apple crumble that I believe was around 9 or 10 euros and was also outstanding! They also brought some homemade cookies on the house to close the meal as well. Service and food were outstanding and I highly recommend!

Food 9/10 The "al dente-ness" of the pasta really bumped up the points here, but the amount of flavoring bumped down the points. Every single pasta dish was incredible in its own way, the combinations of meats and sauces were amazing, and the texture was perfect. The only issue was I had to keep on adding salt and pepper to each one because it just wasn't seasoned enough unfortunately. Nevertheless, the burrata was really unique with anchovies and the beef carpaccio was SO GOOD. Super tender and fresh. Atmosphere 9/10 Loved the dim warm lighting inside. We came around 10pm, and the restaurant was still bustling. Cozy ambiance, a little rustic, and the plates were absolutely gorgeous. I wanted to take every single one of them home with me. Service 8/10 Good service, nothing to complain about :) Everything came out quite quickly, and they always made sure we had water on the table.

We made a reservation for our one night in Rome. There were so many options but I'm so glad we ended up here. They had a nice dining room but we chose to sit outside bc they had heat lamps. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wine list. We had such a hard time picking what to eat but we went with the meat Ragu with picci pasta, pumpkin ravioli, meatballs and bread with pecorino. OMG so delicious, the flavors and textures were on point. For our first meal in Italy it did not disappoint. My husband still talks about the pasta until this day. It was so flavorful and the freshness of the tomatoes in the sauce was amazing. The ravioli also delicious. Rome did not disappoint!

The service is absolutely amazing. Followed by amazing food, I don't know what more you can ask for.

We have been in many cities in Italy over the last 10 days and this meal was our favorite. Everything was absolutely delicious. The neighborhood is also very charming. Our server was Adrianna and she was very knowledgeable about wine and the ingredients in the dishes. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Nice and cozy, reservation definitely recommended otherwise you may be out of luck depending on standby waitlist. The menu is rather short. But service was good and attentive. The execution of every dish was very good with some better than others. The burrata for an example was excellent but 5.50 euro extra for the tiny mullets seemed a bit much. The pasta dishes were very amazing with a good texture. We didn't order a tiramisu but saw another table did and it seemed like the creamier type which we don't like as we prefer our tiramisu more eggy. Overall it's a great restaurant that I would recommend if you're in the area. But I wouldn't go out of my way specifically for.

Absolutely incredible! The food was the best we've had in Rome. The staff were kind and helpful (especially with their wine suggestions). We were looking for something that wasn't as touristy, and this was truly special! We're may go back tomorrow because it was seriously that good! Highly recommend!

We ordered sea bass fillet rolled in zucchini and honey mushrooms. Fish was tender, soft, and delicious with great seasoning. We also ordered Ravioli with white truffles and it was delicious as well. Ravioli tasted like it was freshly made and it tasted great with truffles. Lastly, we got tiramisu for dessert. This tiramisu was prepared by an artist. Just by looking at the dish, it was very pretty to look at. It was presented on a beautiful plate with thin chocolate cookie on top with sugar decoration and underneath was a creamy white tiramisu. I loved this dish because it was unique dessert with great sweet flavor and great presentation. The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly with great attitude and they are attentive. I think they liked the look on my face every time they brought out the dishes because their presentation was great. Whoever was the Chef that night, I would give him or her an award. We opted for the Roman-style cuisine tasting menu with wine pairings. The service was warm and welcoming, and the ambiance was quiet and romantic. I appreciated the decor, especially the various wine bottles displayed throughout, and I also liked the dishes the food was served on. That said, this restaurant leaned a little too "foodie" for my taste. I also discovered that I really dislike truffles! My husband, on the other hand, enjoyed everything--including my leftovers. The wines were fantastic across the board. I also want to mention the pricing was shockingly affordable for what we got at dinner, which again, included the wine pairing. If you consider yourself a foodie and enjoy creative, thoughtfully prepared dishes, Ristorante Ad Hoc is worth a visit.

Pane e Salame, however, was delicious!!!! On our first day in Rome, my husband and I decided to search for a lunch spot nearby (we were staying near the Trevi fountain), and I found this place had pretty good reviews. We got there about an hour after it opened and requested a seat outdoors. They have a tiny patio across from their entrance, but they fit quite a bit of people in it! We initially wanted to order two sandwiches to try more items, but I'm glad we just shared one - they were big and filling! We also had the small charcuterie board to share which was plenty of food for us both. We shared a bottle of rose, and all in all, we paid under $50 (usd) - what a steal! This was the perfect first meal in Rome. The food was incredibly fresh, the service was great, and the outdoor seating allowed us to experience the streets of Rome. 10/10 - would absolutely go back.

The edamame we had was soft and boiled/spiced to perfection. Originally we were just going to get a roll and a bowl but after trying the food we immediately got another roll. The staff was a whole new level of mind blowing. To start the waiter made us feel exactly where we belonged (even though we were a little underdressed for a classier restaurant). You could've just sat there and watched the bar tender all night, she looked like she was a professional I wouldn't want anyone else making me drinks. The atmosphere of the whole bar embodied a classic American jazz bar, even the other people and tables we were by were friendly and really added to the whole experience. Was very well worth the price and couldn't recommend any other restaurant.

A jazz club for American tourists…read more Okay, there was one Australian lady and a few Chinese. Everyone else was American. Prices are sky-high because this is a soak the tourist situation. Alexanderplatz which is the premiere jazz club in Rome charges $18 euros for a month membership - no cover after that - and $12 per drink. So once you have paid your monthly cover charge, you can hear all the jazz you want for free - or if need be for $12 euros a drink At Alexanderplatz, the performances are legendary with some of the most innovative and technically amazing musicians in Rome. We dropped over $150 euros at Gregory's. We got a perfectly reasonable yeoman guitarist. But nothing like the artistic lions that routinely perform over at Alexanderplatz. Now to be fair, we had dinner at Gregory's and we never eat at Alexanderplatz. The standard "sushi dinner" was perfectly reasonable yeoman sushi. There was so little of it that we both had to order a la carte dishes afterwards. The extra extras seriously expanded the final tab. * * * One argument in Gregory's favor: their bar is extraordinary. The bar at Alexanderplatz is mediocre. Gregory's charges top dollar for its bar offerings, but what they mix and what is in their bottles is worth every single euro they ask for. I would be perfectly happy to just go to the bar, and order a few premium beverages. I would hear my wallet cry. But I would know that I was drinking supremely well in return for my investment. Fortunately, the bar is downstairs from the club. I would not have to put up with the shenanigans in the club. * * * The problem with the club is the crowd. At most, one third of the customers are actually there to listen to jazz. The room is filled with tourists taking selfies. There are also hot-daters playing snuggle-buns. Many of them will leave mid-set so they can go back to the hotel. Gregory's is less about the music and more about selling happy memories of Rome. * * * Alexanderplatz gets a mostly Italian crowd. You are looking as musicians, music critics, academics, and all purpose artsy types - as well as normal Italian human beings who just want to hear fine music. The music is taken very very seriously. Yeah, there are usually two or three tables with good time Charlies who are doing the phone recording, party hearty thing. But this is 8% of the audience at Alexanderplatz as opposed to 70% of the audience at Gregory's. To be fair to the crowd at Gregory's, the music at Alexanderplatz is simply better. The jazz at Alexanderplatz is capable of transfixing even philistines with tin ears. Gregory's jazz doesn't put that much on the table. But the crowd at Alexanderplatz sets me up for listening to mystic, complex music with the highest level of attention and aesthetic receptiveness. The crowd at Gregory's just gets me irritated. * * * If you are in Rome with a hot date, go to Gregory's. Be prepared to shell out the bucks. * * * If you are in Rome with someone who can truly appreciate once-in-a-lifetime musical experiences, take them to Alexanderplatz. After you talk about the music for half an hour after the concert, You can still go back to the hotel. Just figure that the hotel will be the second best part of the night.
