So I can be very critical when necessary. But not with this beautiful family run restaurant and bakery. I never remember names, but the dad was in IT and got out and bought this orchard. Mom does the cooking and baking. And the daughters are the servers. Beautiful vibe and family. And friendly farm cats. A very small but fresh menu. My friend and I both had different quiches. This was the best quiche I ever had!!! We also split a bowl of oatmeal that was filled with goodies...nuts, granola, etc. we both had the tea/lemonade combo that was also wonderful. Then we went into the bakery to pay. But will all the goodies we both bought way too much stuff. In addition to the incredible baked goods they have frozen homemade soups, homemade jellies and jams, local honey, and much more. The sourdough English muffins were excellent. When we left one of the daughters was picking herbs from the raised beds. I had to think long and hard about whether to write this review. I want them to be successful but not too successful. B.N.D (dry) 2. Ruddy Wild (dry-cranberry) 3.Jump Start (ginger flavored) 4.Bear Essentials (local honey blend-sweet) And 2 types of apple wine: 1. Citron 2. Apple Blossom They serve those in house and you can purchase cans and growlers to go. They also serve local CT craft beer and mimosas. There's a porch, patio, and indoor area to enjoy those drinks. I also saw children of all ages, riding animals in the pen. Entering the building with the ice cream shop is so welcoming. The place was busy, but the line moved quick. There is a great system involved here and it works when it gets busy I ordered up the small hot fudge sundae with chocolate ice cream, and within five minutes it was sitting in my hand, and I was out on the porch, sitting on a very comfortable bench. Taking in all the sites is just bonus. It's so peaceful up here. The total including tip was $7.50, and this was a very good bargain Now that the good weather is here take a ride up to the backcountry through Simsbury Granby, and into Granville. It's just such a great ride through farm country. And once you get here, it's hard to leave!

In about 3 seconds, we knew we'd be buying something here. We saw a nice variety of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and muffins. Some were GF. We ended up with a small loaf of Lemon Blueberry bread ($6) and a Cinnamon Roll ($5). The Lemon-Blueberry bread was more like a poundcake than a bread, and it sure was a delicious poundcake at that. It was super moist and very lemony, and since we split it, half of that $6 loaf made for a very yummy and satisfying dessert. The Cinnamon Roll was everything one would want in a Cinnamon Roll! It had sweet flaky pastry layered with that addictive sticky/gooey cinnamon filling, and it was crowned with a light layer of vanilla icing. Pure excellence, and a Simple Delight, indeed.

The food truck menu is a slimmed down version of what you find in their brick and mortar stores. One salad, one wrap, two sandwiches, nuggets, mac and cheese, fries, a fruit cup and 2 desserts. All of the food is precooked and prepackaged except the waffle fries which are cooked on site. For nineteen dollars we bought a Classic Chicken sandwich, a Spicy Chicken sandwich and an order of waffle fries. The sandwiches were just a nicely fried chicken breast on a bun with 2 pickle slices. No dressing, no lettuce. My spicy chicken was indeed spicy, but I asked for a packet of their sweet Sriracha sauce to crank these up a bit and I was surprised at how much firepower was in that little packet. The gent that took our order was pleasant, and the fries cooked up pretty rapidly. No way we could resist mooching a few straight out of the bag on the drive home. There is advertising on the side of the truck should you be interested in booking it for a business event or a family shindig.
