Dinner in Enfield provided my chance to finally try Collins Creamery. It's located in a cool farm area. Given the very long line for our entire 30 minutes stay, Collins Creamery is clearly very popular. Although it took a while to work through the line, service was efficient when we placed our order. I ordered a scoop of Collins Composte flavor with Rainbow Sprinkles. A sign said Collins Composte features brownie batter and Oreo pieces. It was good, but the base flavor didn't really pop for me. I would have preferred more stuff as well. My wife let me try her cup of coconut chocolate chip with hot fudge sauce. I wouldn't have thought of that order, but it worked. It tasted like a Mounds Bar. The hot fudge sauce was tasty and the ice cream had very good coconut flavor. If we were in the area, we would return. But we have options closer to home that we prefer. Four Stars

Red Velvet, Hoof Prints. Golden Oreo, Brownie Batter.

Arrived 25 minutes before they closed on a Saturday. The line was long but moved quickly to my surprise. The staff were helpful and quick. The ice cream has a great texture, exactly what you expect from homemade ice cream. The flavors they offer range from basic to creative, offering something for everyone. Although it was getting quite dark and a storm was moving in quickly I got a nice sense of the atmosphere and the setting it is capable of providing. Lots of seating available, some covered and some not and plenty of parking as well. I would recommend you try Collin's at least once if you're in the area looking for ice cream!

Always enjoy my visits to Collins. They have delicious flavors to choose from and very friendly staff. My fur baby also enjoys his pup cup. I enjoy the hot fudge on my ice cream

I know I'm gonna have good icecream when I see the cow field right to the side. This is such a nice spot with a big open field of cows grazing. The icecream was delicious and so so creamy! They have some flavors that I don't usually see at other creameries such as my Dulce de leche. And they did it justice! Great family spot or place to go with your pupper.

"Top of the list King of the hill…read moreA number one" (Frank Sinatra) We've been to a ton of Italian bakeries over the years. But I don't think we've ever fallen as head-over-heels in love with one as we did when we set foot into the Russo Pastry Shop. It's one of the most visually stunning bakeries I've ever seen! Walking into the store reminded me of the moment in the Wizard of Oz movie when the images transform from black and white into color. That's because vibrant, bright, gorgeous colors are everywhere inside Russo's. An embarrassment of riches are everywhere in the form of cannolis, cookies, pastries, and cake slices, And if you want some savory treats to accompany your sweet treats, well... no worries because Russo has pizzas, calzones, grinders, frozen pastas, parmigianas, and soups. We picked up a gorgeous slice of White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake, and it was so fantastic it's hard to put into words. We went into their freezer case and picked up two entrees -eggplant parmigiana and chicken parmigiana. They were priced as a $16.99 BOGO deal. We had both last week, and the portions in the containers were easily splitable for the two of us. The chicken parm seemed to have more inside the container than the eggplant did, and we both thought it was better than the eggplant. In essence we ended up with four dinner portions for just $16.99. Do the math-that's a tremendous value. After you do the math, do yourself a favor and take a ride over to Russo's for a fantastic experience.

I all bought two slices of pizza - one was spinach ricotta, and other meatball parm. Both were very generously loaded w toppings. Both were very good, but definitely below New Haven-style. I guess I'm a pizza snob. They were just a bit doughy for my taste. So, 5 stars for the pastry, 3.5 for the slices, overall rounded to 4.25. 4 Yelp stars

Actually, there's probably a middle bake off somewhere... try that first. The Muffin Man who bosses everyone around in the back--affectionately referred to by locals as The Rat--will make your food with unclean hands. He sleeps around in Springfield so his longtime girlfriend in Florida won't find out about it, which is bold behavior for someone who has clearly never met a mirror or any man taller than his 5'6 stature. He flirts by purchasing expensive gifts for any dummy who will accept them, has zero respect for marital status, and treats wedding rings like optional accessories. If confidence were cleanliness, this place might actually sparkle. Now let's talk cannolis. Calling them "disappointing" feels generous. They're small. They're limp. They lack structure, filling, and any sense of purpose--much like the owner's tiny cannoli in his pants. One bite and you're left wondering where the rest of it went and why you bothered. In summary: dirty shop, inflated ego, morally questionable vibes, and pastries that can't rise to the occasion, if ya know what mean. If you're craving drama, questionable hygiene, and an extremely underwhelming cannoli, La Fiorentina is your place. If you want food that respects you--and your marriage--maybe try... literally anywhere else.
