I was really looking forward to trying Cinnaholic, but unfortunately, my experience was incredibly disappointing. The cinnamon roll I ordered tasted raw--like it hadn't been fully baked. It even looked raw. The texture was overly doughy and bland, with hardly any cinnamon flavor at all. For a place that centers its brand around cinnamon rolls, you'd expect the roll itself to be the star of the show--but that wasn't the case here. Instead, it felt like the roll was just a base for a mountain of toppings. The toppings completely overpowered the actual cinnamon roll, which defeats the whole purpose of going to a cinnamon roll bakery. We were so let down that after just three bites, we ended up throwing it away. That's how unappetizing it was. The ambiance didn't help, either. The storefront was strangely quiet--no music, no welcoming vibe. It honestly felt kind of depressing. The employees were polite but very awkward, and no one asked if we needed help or explained the menu. I don't want to place too much blame on the staff--they seemed like they were just doing their jobs. But the recipe itself desperately needs to be reconsidered. There is something seriously off with how the cinnamon rolls are prepared. I'm genuinely so disappointed, and I won't be returning.

FIRST TIME VISIT! I'd been past this place about 5X before I finally made an intentional stop to check them out. I go to The Joint Chiropractic next door and this is how I realized this place existed. A small shop in strip of restaurants and other businesses, this Alamo Ranch location is good as there is often foot traffic at this busy shopping center. I burst through their doors unsure of what to expect except to see cinnamon rolls. I was pleasantly surprised to see something different than my usual go-to, the famed Cinnabon. Compared to a Cinnabon cinnamon roll, Cinnaholic's rolls are not as tall, do not customarily come with a cream cheese icing and just look different altogether. What makes this place unique are the toppings they have. They have an assortment of delicious looking rolls on display to tickle anyone's fancy. I personally did not want anything overly sweet and really wanted to taste the roll at its base, to gain a true perspective of this treat. I decide on forgoing the fancy shmancy fun rolls and decide on plain rolls, I choose the cream cheese icing (choices include vanilla icing and several others). Matter of fact, they had a bunch of rolls baked the day before on sale for $2.50 each and by the touch of their through their plastic wrap, they are soft and I can't wait to indulge in them! I buy 3 of them and some cookies, too. May I say their cinna-doodle one is delightful. It's very dark in color and I can't recall what ingredients were in it, but very good. Anyway, their day-old rolls were wonderful. I even ate one the following day and it was still so good. I think I'll enjoy them plain a lot better. Boring, I know. Lol! I had the pleasure of being served by one of their managers. I wish I remembered her name. I thought she was the owner becs she was so helpful and I told her she seemed so passionate about her job. She said they are all just good people that genuinely care about the community and the foods and service that are of the best quality. Amen, sister! Highly recommend and will be back in hopes to get more plain rolls at a killer

We have never been here but thought we'd get one to take home for dessert later. We got a South town brew and a strawberry cheesecake. Both were good but the south town brew was my favorite. These cinnamon rolls are not hard or dry. Very soft and sweet! Greeted promptly upon arrival as we were the only customers inside. They definitely keep it clean inside and offer a bar area by the front window to sit and eat. Several different options of cinnamon rolls and cookies as well as drinks.

The rolls are delicious and made to order. I have ordered here often. Rolls are baked/heated in batches so if you come while they're making a fresh batch it is likely your toppings will melt quickly due to the rolls heat. That won't take away from flavor though. There is only a small seating/waiting area so it can get crowded if there's a small rush. Although they are a franchise they aren't connected to the cinnaholic app and they do their own rewards system and you can't order through the app but you can use the website . Staff are friendly and patient.

First time here and it was pretty good. The cinnamon rolls were a good size, definitely enough for 2 people. A little too much topping but good. We had the regular one and also a pb&j. The price was reasonable. We had 3 for about 18 dollars. We'd try it again and maybe try some of the other options.

Wanted to give this a try! Came in on a Thursday around 6pm and no line. Got the signature classic one, my brother enjoyed it! Not quite a fan of the bread consistency (felt a bit too chewy for me). Can see how adding more toppings can make it too sweet. If you like cinnamon rolls, def give this place a try! The only thing is online menus or maybe on the pics, there's a banana nut bread, but it's a seasonal option and they had lemon berry option instead.

The service was okay--staff greeted us, and they did the right thing by offering to fill our coffee. That said, the coffee cup was about 75% ice, which felt excessive for a $5 price tag. The cinnamon rolls are undeniably rich, clocking in at around 1100 calories each. While they're indulgent, the cost--$7 per roll--feels steep for what you get.

My husband and I loved it! I will say though.. the models of the rolls are not very appealing. I think the detail in the menu is enough and they should do away bc they look awful. We had the very berry, cookies and cream and turtle. All very, very good. The staff was friendly, helpful and the rolls came out hot and very well put together! New location of a favorite!! & one that's closer to me Cinnaholic opened up its second in town location last Friday and it's going great! Known for their delicious vegan cinnamon rolls, cinnaholic is all over the nation, but this one is locally owned. Service is fast and quick, with a friendly trained staff! They're an all vegan bakery, 100% dairy lactose and egg free! I know some people who turn the other way when they hear that sometimes because they're expecting less flavor and texture, but trust me it's all there, and my friends can agree to that! Also!! They have stuff other than cinnamon rolls! I've never tried their Cinnacake, but I've had the edible cookie dough and it's so good too! And won't hurt your stomach like the raw cookie dough you're not supposed to eat hehe This shop is slightly smaller compared to the one on Alamo St, with seating available for smaller groups! It's clean and smells like cinnamon too!

Looked good but tasted super synthetic and honestly really gross. Slow service and even with no line it took a long time to get served. Overall, not worth the price and I would not recommend at all. We ordered the cookies and cream and ended up with the cookie monster? I spit my bite of the cinnamon roll out and only ate the cookie dough. Atrocious icing.

I was really excited to try Cinnaholic because the pictures look amazing, but it ended up being a bit disappointing. The rolls were way too sweet for my taste, and for the price, I didn't feel like the portion size justified it. The service here was very good, friendly, patient and helpful cashier. I was very pleasantly surprised how good the cinnamon rolls were, considering they are vegan. Lots of creative choices but I think the old school was my favorite. We also got some cookie dough, how can you resist! The shop is small with some seats at the bar to sit but otherwise a little tight if there are a few people in there to place orders. Mostly a clean establishment except that I noticed quite a bit of dirt build up under the bars by the front window. Overall, very good, would recommend! read more

We stumbled upon this Cinnaholic after dinner and I felt somewhat obligated to grab a few cinnamon rolls as a vegan, hah. It is my veganly duty you know, to try all the vegan things, I didn't make the rules, I just abide by them. Anyway, I believe I ordered the Very Berry, Cookie Monster, and a brownie. . . and holy crap everything was sooooo sweet. Like almost sickening sweet! My husband was even taken aback with how sweet everything was. Our son seemed to enjoy a little bit of everything, but dare I say it was maybe even too sweet for him?!?!? The brownie was pretty perfect and lovely, we chomped down on that without hesitation. The cinnamon rolls themselves were soft and a lovely texture, no complaints there. But yeah, this is probably a personal thing - I found them sooo unbelievably sweet that it took a couple of days for us to slowly finish them. I suppose this can be something of a feature - more slowly consuming something this decadent is probably a good thing, hah. This is more like a three and half stars, but I'm rounding up because I'm interested to give the cinnamon rolls another try. There's a couple of locations that have now opened where I live so I'll have to remember to grab one and give it another go! read more

Service. I was told the location was cashless because of robbery. However it is interesting that they had a jar on the counter that was full of cash. Need to be consistent. Very poor customer service and very rude counter person. I was there on Thursday, January 8 around 5:15 so you know who was working and who was so rude. I love Cinnabon- this is not that. The cinnamon roll was very artificial in taste, the cream cheese icing was excessive and soooo sweet. And I asked the server to give me the Apple Pie option WITH NO PECANS, and low and behold there was a huge amount of pecans on my cinnamon roll- so I had to scoop off the pecans and try to eat the cinnamon roll. I won't be returning- I should've just ordered a brownie. The strawberry cinnamon roll was decent- but for the price I paid these were not made well at all. read more

Nice, new + clean place. We went during the grand opening. Line was long but service was quick for the rush. Person taking our order was kind. Smells really good when you walk in. High top chairs and tables available to sit along the wall and windows. Cinnamon bun was ok. Had a lot of glaze and I don't love too much glaze. Will return and try again. I love cinnamon rolls - but this place was so disappointing. Expensive at $7.00 which would be ok if they weren't doughy, dry and tasteless. I think I understand why they have so many toppings as they are trying to cover for such a pathetic base roll. I was so excited to visit this location after raving to people I knew about the one downtown. When I arrived I waited outside about 30 minutes before getting inside, I ordered & waited with other customers for my order. After waiting about another 30 minutes, I noticed several others who arrived after me get theirs after I only ordered 2. When I asked one of the employees assembling the rolls how long until I received my order, he looked around & spoke to other employees & pretty much noticed that my order was lost so they began making it on the spot. I didn't want to complain or be a Karen, but it was clear my order was given to someone else or lost. Everyone just looked at each other silently it was very awkward. I was okay waiting because I understood they just opened & the line would be long, but when I realized that they realized that they lost my order & it wasn't acknowledged at all even with just a sorry, that's when I got turned off by the situation. Downtown gave me such good service & I gave an exceptional review (that's why I loved this place), I was extra disappointed when I didn't experience that here, even when seeing a manager was there also & obviously aware. Aside from that negative experience, the cinnamon rolls were delicious (I ordered the breakfast in bed & chocolate turltle). I'd still return & hopefully update my review. Until then, I wouldn't recommend visiting until they can manage the amount of customers coming through a bit better & volume dies down. read more

My wife wanted to try this place, it was ok the workers were all bunched up at the front near the register and seemed to be more concerned with chatting with each other than helping us. The cinnamon roll by itself was fine, but you're better off just buying cinnamon rolls at Costco and doing your own thing with them. I'm not sure who decided a lump of gritty cold cookie dough on a warm cinnamon roll was a great texture and flavor balance, but it wasn't it. As someone who is usually fond of overly sweet things, this didn't hit the spot at all. The service was fine, although the cashier spoke in a whisper, the restaurant was clean, but the food wasn't for me. I tried a little of everything and the cookie I straight up threw away after a bite, it tasted like raw cookie dough with some of the most bitter aftertaste I've ever had from a cookie, I don't know if it was the chocolate they used or something else, but they just tasted odd to me. I've always been on the hunt for the best cookies and now we have 2 spots by each other with bad cookies, I'm looking at you Crumbl (also extremely overhyped). Most of the steam buns are about $5.00 and are good for three bites. The bowls selection reminded me of ordering at Chipotle, but with an Asian flare. The high point was the service. We had a very attentive food runner that cared and was very nice.

I wanted something with a bit more substance, so opted for a sandwich that was easy to take on the flight and save for a bit later if I needed. I don't really remember what sandwich I got, but I remember it being good, and I definitely had leftovers. Service was good, nothing spectacular or over the top. Order was ready pretty quickly as well. The neon lights are a nice addition and eye catching. Thanks for a nice preflight and flight meal.

This place was a very special surprise. It wasn't too crowded as we walked in, there were 4 empty…read moretables were dishes were stacked but not bused and a slight smell of acetone from the nail salon next door. All things in my mind brought this down from a 5 star to a 4. Clean up the tables is definitely something the restaurant has control over. We sat down, and the acetone smell dissipated so either I was use to it or they turned down a shared ventilation system. The food though was the big surprise! It was excellent. We ordered the Special House Bun with beef, pork, chicken, shrimp and a crispy egg roll. The proportion of vermicelli noodles to fresh lettuce, carrots, cucumber, bean sprouts and peanuts provide d that perfect bite were one ingredient dominated the other. All the proteins were cooked perfectly. The real winner was the lemongrass Banh mi with once again perfectly proportioned ingredients. We also ordered the fresh spring roll, which never came but wasn't missed except that they did try to charge us for but did remove them. They definitely have some work to make this a comfortable dining experience but I wouldn't let it stop you from trying some phenomenal Vietnamese food.
