I always like to come to this location. The theatre is nice, big and clean. I came here with my kids to watch kung fu panda. What a great experience!

Since we're here in Canada on vacation, I've decided to surprise my hubby on finding a Cantonese movie while we're here. It's been 17 years since we've watched a Chinese movie together since Hong Kong! To my luck, I located this theater only 6 minutes from our hotel and decided one this super popular movie starting Dayo Wong which we were both HUGE fans of. Movie was fun and excellent and hubby was super surprised and Uber happy! We parked outside and it was a windy night but close enough to walk for a few minutes. We will definitely visit again next time we're in Canada. We promised each other we will come back every year just to catch a fun Chinese movie!

3.5 stars I've been here a few times. The outdoor parking lot fills up quickly (pre-pandemic) so it's nice that there's an underground garage that actually stays fairly warm during winter. The movie theatre take up half of the second floor. There's an arcade section upon entering on the left and then a large concession stand. I showed my prepaid virtual ticket on my phone to the first employee and was directed too the next one. There was quite the line at this second employee. Scanning each customer's ticket wasn't as quick and efficient as I thought it would be. Once my ticket was scanned she informed me which theatre I'd be going to and which side it was on. The seats were pretty nice and comfortable with a lot of padding. The seat even reclines ever so slightly. I didn't feel like the view from my seat at the very back of the theatre was too far and for a vertically challenged person I had plenty of legroom.

Decided to buy the VIP tickets which included a lounge where you can order (pay) food/drink items either to be eaten in lounge before the movie starts or inside the theater, arrived at lounge 60mins before showtime. Numerous tv screens with local sports inside or you can sit in their outside patio for some fresh air. Firstly, plenty of staff on hand to handle a slightly over 50% movie attendance, they were courteous and were customer oriented. Food/drink items were served within a reasonable time. Staff takes your order and delivers to you in lounge or inside the theater before the movie starts. Staff are also on-hand inside theater to take your orders, service stops when movie starts. Individual private toilets inside lounge was a nice benefit Ordered a burger/fries to eat in lounge as I wasn't sure if eating food while watching a movie would have been a wise choice, maybe next time. Stella draft tap beer arrived nicely cold. Burger meat was dry, reminded me of the typical fast food burgers you would find at McDonald's or Burger King, however they were generous with the lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup toppings which worked well with the meat/bun. Fries were hot and crispy Theater seats are large leather with individual attached tray tables, spring loaded reclining backrest. Seats/floors very clean, no stickiness or musty smells. I did order a layered butter popcorn ($2.50 extra for butter). Can't watch a movie without it as I can't duplicate the buttered popcorn at home without making a mess. Delivered before movie started while inside theater A very different and enjoyable movie experience,

The Top Gun sequel...a movie more than 20+ years in the making! This was a good enough reason to go see a movie in theatres. We ordered our tickets online for this showing. It's a little annoying because if you do order online, you need an account and they now charge a service fee for online transactions. It is really convenient though since you can select your seating online. The theatre is located inside the shopping center on the top floor. It's huge and spacious all around. There's a pretty big arcade where you can earn tickets for prizes. The view is also not bad since there are big windows looking outside so you don't feel like you're already in a dark cavern. I only saw the one concessions stand at the front. I ordered what I think must have been a kids combo since it came with a small popcorn, small drink, mini package of candy, and a pencil topper. We were at the first showing of the day on a Monday afternoon. There were only a handful of people there. We were in a standard theatre. The seats are pretty comfy. They are leather and do recline quite a bit. The sound was good. It was almost a little too loud in the beginning but after adjusting, it makes for a great movie experience!

This is the only movie theatre in Markham Location: In the area they call downtown Markham. Building: The movies are on the second floor. There's an elevator and escalator to help you up. There's also a game arcade and a vip lounge. The lounge is terrific. Parking: There is a giant parking lot. Plenty for everyone! Food:there's a concession stand with the regular things you find at a cineplex. Theatres: Newish still so still fairly clean and not run down. There's also a bio area. Totally worth the visit

Fun fact about me. Starting in 2012, I've made a list of all of the movies I've seen in theaters. Why? I just really like spreadsheets. Anyways, the point is, I've seen almost 90 movies in 6 years, many of them at Cineplex Markham (both at its old location and now at its new Enterprise location). So I feel qualified to say the new Cineplex VIP Markham theater is one gorgeous theater. Moving to the new, up and coming, Enterprise location is one smart move. The new renovations, giving the theater a modern feeling, was a great idea. The decision to put a VIP portion of the theater has literally changed my life. You pay a hefty price for a ticket but in return, you get reserved seating, comfy reclining couch seats, waiter service, and no noisy kids! It's the only way I can catch the latest Marvel blockbuster. Food and drink quality is like a 3-star chain restaurant, kinda like a Kelsey's. But you're getting that in a theater! So it becomes 4-star theater quality food. Sliders, shrimp tacos, multiple poutine options, salad bowls, all kinds of desserts, and a fully stocked bar with specialty cocktails. There's a lovely lounge area outside the VIP theater to have a drink, eat dinner, and catch a game on their TVs. Now onto my complaint, and I'm quite passionate about this complaint. I've knocking a star off for this complaint. Those Chinese commercials they're playing at the beginning of the movies. Stop. First of all, I don't believe you should be catering to a certain demographic like that. Based on a recent census, 1/3 of Markham's population is Chinese. Way to alienate your other 2/3 of the population. Secondly, the commercials they're playing are distasteful and downright cringeworthy. 90% of them are literally beauty place ads. "You were born perfect...but YOU CAN BE PERFECT-ER". "Oh, my crush doesn't notice me. NO PROBLEM! You can get liposuction, breast enhancement, face lift...". I'm not kidding. These were real commercials they played. What is the message you are sending here? Kids, don't worry about anything except your looks? Or Chinese people are shallow af? I'm ashamed to be associated with this. Rethink your media partner, Cineplex, they're a disgrace. (28/100) - 2018

I love going to the Cineplex VIP theatres so I can watch movies while eating more comfortably. I usually go to the Don Mills location but Markham is closer for me and I went here a couple weeks ago to watch Eternals. The staff are very friendly and this location is very nice and modern. There are plenty of other restaurants nearby if you want to get dinner or dessert after your movie. The only thing I wish to see is some new options on the menus as it's always been the same basic items over the last few years and some variety would be nice. Overall, great theatre at a convenient location!

I love Markham downtown and I especially love this movie theater! I came here on a Saturday afternoon to watch a film and it wasn't too busy. The movie theater was very clean and we had a wonderful experience. We later checked out the arcade which was so much fun!! Games for everyone! They have basketball games, deal or no deal, fighting shooting games and so much more. I had been to the VIP section and enjoyed it but found it very expensive, it's definitely an experience being able to order a full dinner for the movie but i'm not dying to go back. Overall i'm a big fan of this place and love to spend my free time watching movies here.

Finally a brand new theatre in Markham area! The signage definitely really confusing but I was there in the early afternoon checking out the place and able to ask Security where the underground parking located and the construction workers also directed me to the entrance of the theatre. VIP experience is excellent! The lounge area even has a patio that overlooks Downtown Markham (A lot of constructions still be the view will be great once everything is done in the area!) The drink/food menu is a little different here compares to one inside the theatre itself as the lounge menu is more extensive. Our server inside the theatre was able to get us the items that is "not" on the menu for "seat" service. But it was not too busy on a Wednesday night. Our food arrived around 10 minute after we put in our order. I highly recommended getting VIP experience if you are a drinker. It was definitely fun drinking a cocktails/beers/wine while watching a movie! Drink prices is really reasonable with a cocktail 1oz for around $7.50 and up. I also like how they are served in real glass wares! The seats are super comfy! Calamari ($10) was so tender and fresh! Highly recommended though the portion is small. Burger with Jalapeno ($14) upgraded our side to a Poutine ($2) was delicious. Maybe I expected the worse and all the food item exceeded my expectation. Tropical Sangria ($7.50) was also nicely made! Will I be back for VIP experience? A big YES. But only if I able to arrive at least 30 minute early at least to enjoy the seat service and order an adult beverage. And if I using my SCENE point to redeem my complimentary tickets, FOR SURE! I just wish this location going to have some earlier shows on weekdays especially Tuesdays as I would love to beat the crowds instead just coming here to watch movie after 6:30 pm.

$25 is sure steep for movie ticket. Yes the seat is comfy and yes it's awesome to be able to order food delivered to your seat. But the whole VIP experience, I will save it once in a blue moon with my in laws. On a side note - Wished I am able to order their poutine outside of the theater because honestly their sweet potato poutine was probably the best poutine I've ever had in the land of O'Canada! Okay, maybe the poutine has convinced me to return more often. Until the next big blockbuster hit!

Great movie-dinner combo for Scene/movie lovers!! Location: 4.5/5 Movie-dinner date night now has a nice VIP experience with ample parking in a very modern complex at Birchmount and Enterprise, just south of Highway 7. Outside and underground parking available. Decor/Ambience: 4.5/5 Modern lounge and bar with sports channel. Not too loud too 40 pop hits playing the background. Clean and seek white and black Dalmatian decor. High roof. Perfect for evenings year round. Food quality: 3.5/5 Food is average here, but my veggie burger was quite saucy. I love how they support Sweet from the Earth!! My favourite vegan commercial bakery!! The s'mores cook and walnut brownie were simply divine!! Service: 4.5/5 Friendly staff. Food was served within minutes of ordering. Waitress explained how points and their menu worked and she checked up on us every few minutes. Value: 5/5 Good portions. Good $35 just dinner deal for 2, $69 includes VIP movie and dinner for 2. You get your money worth and with 10 Scene points for $1 that is just sweet and then top it with Scene Visa card! This deal is perfect for happy-go-lucky movie date lovers! One meal and we are more than 1/3 way there for another free movie ticket!

This was my first time back to these theatres- actually any movie theatre since the end of 2019 and Covid. What surprised me the most was how the lobby area has not changed at all, out dated games, cold unwelcoming entry, same self serve counter and 1 person standing at a kiosk to take your tickers before you get to the ridiculously expensive concession stand. What annoyed me the most was paying $52 for 2 kids and 2 adults and then $75 at the concession for: Combo w/ 2 regular drinks, large popcorn and 1 candy - $27.99 2 kids combos at $10.99 each (smaller trays) 1 regular popcorn at $8.75 (smaller bags) 1 pack of candy $6.77 First of all, the fact that what they call a large popcorn now is a JOKE! This same bag used to be wider and much more popcorn! Same with the regular size. No more free refills, although people were freely walking over and refilling. This is insulting considering the cost of a large drink is $6.75. I will never return to a theatre and purchase anything from the concession stand. The popcorn was stale, the pop was flat and the bags of candy, I can get those at Dollarama or Walmart for $2.50 per bag. I did expect it would be expensive, but I did not anticipate that everything had shrunk in size for drinks and popcorn. Makes sense now why it was so empty there. Not even worth it to collect Scene Points anymore. There was 10% off the concession which is a thing of the past since the program got revamped during Covid. I was really hoping that since Covid that there would be improvements considering the movie theatres took a huge hit during the lockdowns and closures. We enjoyed paying $6.99 to $24.99 ordering home premieres at home and buying our own snacks. As a family of 4 movie night was costing us under $40. At a theatre it's ridiculous to pay $125. With these prices they have made their money back tenfold. Movie was amazing, easily 5 stars for me. The only reason I gave the theatre 2 stars is I love the idea of choosing my seats in advance or when I pay there. I don't have to worry about rushing to catch a show if I pay in advance. Will I go back? Yes, fun with the fam. BUT I will be there bag in hand with my own snacks and happily seeing movies at Markham VIP because I can choose my seats in advance and not worry that if I'm late that all the good seats are gone.

The cost of the tickets and food was reasonable, the seats are comfortable, and the screen size was great. Also - they have subtitles! It's assigned seating, which I actually love. When there's not too many tickets purchased, they actually try to spread out everyone, which is great. The only downside to this was that the person sitting infront of me obstructed my view a little bit, so I moved a seat over (I wouldn't suggest doing this if it's packed, as there may be somebody assigned to the seat next to you.) The washrooms were also very clean. The only down side is that the viewing experience wasn't great, because of a few of the other people in the audience. People were on their phones, and others were talking loudly and having full on conversations during the movie. This is just my opinion, but I feel that because it's more of a desi movie theatre, people care less about manners and being polite than they would at your usual Cineplex Cinema, etc. I really wish management would put in a clip before the movie asking people to turn off their cellphones and be quiet, or at least having a sign on the doors stating so when you enter the viewing room. It would also be great if they could have an employee come in at intervals to ensure that there aren't people disrupting the viewing experience. Other than that, I'm really happy I don't have to travel all the way to Brampton to watch Hindi/Punjabi movies!

We had planned to watch Fantastic Four during the last show and booked two special-needs seats online. Parking downtown already costs more than the tickets for two, but we were looking forward to a relaxing evening. About twenty minutes into the film, a staff member approached us to explain that one of the "seats" we had booked was not actually a chair at all, but the space reserved for a wheelchair. This crucial detail was never made clear on the booking site. Unlike other accessible venues--such as the TTC or most theatres--that allow guests to choose between using their own wheelchair or a provided seat, this cinema offered no alternative except an awkward mid-show refund. The situation was uncomfortable and completely ruined our night out. Although the management responded publicly on Google in a caring and professional tone, two follow-up emails since then have gone unanswered. I hope Imagine Cinemas takes accessibility concerns seriously and improves both its booking transparency and customer follow-up.

Every time I say that I'm heading over to or hitting downtown Markham, it still sounds weird to me…read more I will admit that it is growing on me after a few years. Like downtown Mississauga, downtown Markham is fairly new. The notion was to create condos and have locals walk to businesses. Enterprise Boulevard is a pleasure to drive along to head there. Stores, condos, and new developments continue to be built, including York University's new Markham Center Campus in Fall 2023. Currently, York U. has YSpace Markham, which supports folks who are innovators in technology, and food, and beverage sectors. Before the pandemic, I rarely hit the downtown core. I only visited Chatime, ME-VA-ME, and Cineplex VIP. During this pandemic, I have been able to discover cool new places. Copper Branch. Comebuy. Poke Guys. South St. Burger. I love how cool the Marriott hotel looks here. One of these days, I'll need to book some time here and check it out, along with its fabulous restaurant. I am a regular bubble tea customer at Comebuy and Chatime. Who knew? I have been supporting both regularly for the past 1.5 years and have established a nice rapport with staff. There is only one Comebuy in the GTA. If I'm away for a rare couple of weeks, staff are literally concerned. One made sure before Christmas 2020 to let me know what their hours of operation were, so I wouldn't be disappointed not getting any bubble tea! There is plenty of parking. There are lots that are primarily free. I have yet to be asked to pay for parking. In front of Comebuy and Poke Guys, even where street parking isn't exactly available, parking briefly to fetch takeout is okay. I have yet to see any parking police come over and I am rarely parked longer than five minutes. There is an indoor merry-go-round at the northwest corner of Birchmount and Enterprise. I admire it from afar these days. It has been closed since the pandemic, but looked magical and festive around the Christmas holidays. Back in the summer of 2017, I came here for the Markham ribfest. It moved from Warden and highway 7 over here. I had an excellent time, despite getting caught in the rain and getting soaked trying to get to my car from the venue. I do miss seeing events downtown and hope that they return when it's safe. I like it here. It's constantly growing and changing. It's nice to briefly admire the lights in the wintertime and people-watch in the summer. (263)

It will take years to complete but I like what they are doing. An area that local residents can meet up, eat, shop and play and even actually live in the immediate area. There are a mix of franchise and smaller independent businesses has set up shops here: Cineplex VIP, Milestones, Marriott, Chatime, Golf Town, Aroma Espresso, just to name a few. Good Catch, Poke Guy, Lucullus Bakery, Kiu Japanese are some of the smaller independent restaurants. The annual Markham Ribfest has moved here and for this Summer there was live performance every Saturday night. I looking forward to all the future development and hopefully I don't need to go downtown Toronto for a fun night out and instead can just hop by Downtown Markham!

Tips: - Collect Scene+ points when you buy your movie…read moretickets, food, and drinks either through the app or at this theatre. - The VIP food service is cool. When you're ready to place an order, wave at one of the staff members who will come to you to take your order. I have visited the Shops at Pickering City Centre (it's Pickering Town Centre's rebranded name) a couple of times recently. I noticed this Cineplex nearby. I had never seen a movie here until last Saturday. I decided to see Michael in a VIP movie theatre. I have a surplus of movie tickets and Cineplex gift cards to use. I felt that using my gift cards for lunch would be a nice treat. I used one of my tickets to reserve a spot to see Michael. I then drove over to this theatre after running errands. The downside coming here on a Saturday is that there aren't a whole lot of open parking spaces. I saw one person drive off. I swooped in and backed my car into this spot. Otherwise, I would have had to park a lot further. Maybe coming here on a weekday would be better parking-wise. I walked into the building. Your regular cinemas are straight ahead. VIP is on the right. It felt fancy being greeted by a friendly male staffer with a pool table and pretty chandeliers behind him. He let me know that I was in VIP theatre 2, which was to my left. Nice! I walked by the bar. It was also pretty and rather posh. I needed to use the washroom. The women's is set up like the other VIP ones that I have been to. There's memorabilia everywhere. The stall that I used was clean. It was great. When I walked into theatre 2, two female staffers welcomed me. One asked if I needed any help finding my seat. It was my first time here. I gave her my seat number and she was great pointing out where it was. She also said to wave at her if I wanted anything to eat or drink from the VIP menu. I looked at it. I immediately knew what I wanted. I waved at them to take my order. One of them came over, who was friendly and great. My order consisted of the following: - Wagyu beef gyoza - Corn ribs - Large Diet Coke I paid with two Cineplex gift cards that were loaded digitally in my Cineplex app. I managed to use up the balance on one of them. I also earned Scene+ points for this order. Easy peasy! I got another friendly woman who first brought over my Diet Coke. It was cold and lasted for the entire duration of the movie. It was great. She came back with my food, along with wet wipes and napkins. I thanked her and had lunch. The wagyu beef gyoza were delicious. Each one had a lot of yummy filling. The wrapper was crispy. There was a lot of sauce. It had more ginger than soy going on. It was enjoyable. I loved the corn ribs. They were lightly battered and had the best seasoning. The corn was perfect. I loved them so much. I loved the recliner. I got to put up my feet to watch this movie. There's also a USB port to charge your phone if you need to. So practical! Michael, the movie about Michael Jackson, was excellent. I appreciate him even more after having watched this movie. I liked the picture quality and sound. I was fully into watching this entire flick. So good! Afterwards, I used the washroom again before I headed home. I walked by this theatre and there was a Michael Jackson cutout. It wasn't here before the show. It should have been! It's perfect to pose and take photos. I loved taking in a movie here and getting the VIP experience. The parking situation needs help on a Saturday. I should try taking in a movie on a weekday and see whether parking is better. (184)

This review is only on our XSCAPE experience…read more Small arcade area by the entrance of the theatre with an assortment of games. Difficultly levels range from easy (push a button/pull a lever without regard for anything) to more challenging (push a button on time with the screen, moving claw arms, etc.) Our recently turned 4yo has a blast here, though some of the games are still too challenging. As this is quite close to home, we've already been there 4 times in the last 2 months. The claw machine by the entrance is a good one, it has two sides to potentially play. The timed-play on the right side can give a large prize, but if that doesn't come up with anything, the left side is play-until-you-win, so you never should leave empty handed. My kiddo has redeemed a palm-sized dice, an airhead candy, and a Mario toy with the eticket credits as well on top of the claw machine wins. The venue is clean, spacious as most arcades get, and better lit than expected for a game room in a theatre.
