Having never been to an imagine cinema before, I didn't really know what to expect and was very , very pleasantly surprised. I went with my family, and found it odd that they brought blankets but learnt to not question them , and soon everything made sense. The reclined seats were the comfiest ever, and I almost fell asleep had it not been for the full on horror film playing on the screen in front of me. Super comfy and feels just like it would at home but with a cinema screen. This branch is super clean, everyone is really friendly and they always have great movies showing. Will definitely be coming again

Great movie theater overall. Amazing movie screen. Comfortable reclining chairs to sit in with cup holders to place beverages in.

The cinema is great with very comfy seats. Love the fact you can prebiotic your seats and not worry of who will I need to fight with to get the best seat for any movie... there are plenty of showings for all new releases and did I mention the comfy adjustable seats? These make the Competitors VIP seats feel like a total rip off... book your tickets soon as the big name movies are being screened soon enough

I do like this theatre but they need to work on the concession. Theres at least 100 people in line, they are lined up the stairs and there are 4 people behind the concession counter and only 2 are serving. The other 2 are sputtering. Not even making popcorn. Literally just moving things around

The girl in the hijab was so rude

I have never been more disappointment than I've been within a 5 minute interaction. This lady with the black hijab woke up today and decided to hate the world and everyone in it. When me and my friends came she was hostile from the start and was giving us a lot of attitude. Telling us to hurry up constantly, rolling her eyes, and wouldn't serve us popcorn after she just served it to half of our friends claiming it was "now old". When the same batch of popcorn was right behind her. She was straight up rude, unprofessional and has no care for costumer service. Me and my friends frequent this theatre often and we will not be coming back because of her.

Everytime I come to watch a movie at Imagine Cinemas in Richmond Hill I get so excited. The one thing I love the most is the nice Lazy-Boy style reclining chairs. The chairs are spacious, comfortable and make watching movies an amazing experience. My second favourite feature is how small the auditoriums are. It is almost like you are with friends. :) Prices and food are very reasonable. You will not regret coming to Imagine Cinemas.

I am just in love with Imagine Cinemas. YOU SHOULD MAKE THIS YOUR GO-TO MOVIE THEATRE!!! This place totally beats Cineplex VIP experience as you get to RECLINE!! That's literally all I care about when I go to the movie theatres--RECLINING ON THAT CHAIR! The downside is that they don't serve food or alcohol but who needs that when you get to RECLINEEEE!!! Need I say more? Come here to REEEECCCCCLLLLIIINNNNEEE!!! I ordered my tickets online and was able to reserve my seats. I couldn't believe that it only costs $12, which includes tax, for an adult ticket--this is like half the cost of Cineplex VIP. Also, when I ordered online, they didn't have any handling fee that I had to pay for ordering online so this is pretty AWESOME!! Other theatres require you to pay a handling fee per ticket, where I might as well drive to the theatre and just buy the tickets in person. One thing I did notice is that there aren't a lot of trailers prior to the movies. My movie start time was 3:50pm and by 3:58pm, the movie proper started rolling. So if you're someone that count on the trailers and arrive late to the movie theatres, I will encourage you to arrive "earlier" so you don't miss the start of the movie. I didn't order any concession at the theatre because I had dinner plans after but the concession pricing is comparable to other locations. Imagine Cinemas is going to be my new go-to movie theatre. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!

Power recliner seating. Watch movie with my feet up

It is very unusual for me to have an urge to write a review right after I have patronized a business. When I do, as in the case of Imagine Cinemas, there is no way in the world it is less than a 4 stars rating. The basics: I visited Imagine yesterday (Tuesday) evening to watch an Avenger movie. It was a busy evening. Even so, the services I received was fast and friendly. The open areas, the ladies washroom and the cinema I was in were clean. The interior looks dated and can use a refurbishment here and there. Still, the "good" mentioned below far outweighs the "bad" here. Oh the seat, my love: Many have said, and I would reiterate, that the seats are powered recliners. The seat was wide, as in I put my handbag in the space between my right thigh and the right armrest, and there was spare room between my left thigh and the left armrest. The cushion was soft, yet the back and seat had good support. I tilted the recliner and put my feet up for 2.5 hours. I honestly have never been this relaxed and well rested after watching a long movie. Movie selection: they DO carry the latest and current movies. Sight and sound: The screen is not as big as Cineplex, but I won't call it small either. It is sufficient for an action/Sci-Fi/special effect movie, and the sound system is good (really, seriously, as in it shatters my ill-placed bias). But no if you are looking to be completely engulfed in a movie, or a 3-D experience, Imagine doesn't have it. Personally, I don't enjoy 3-D movies or a vibrating chair, nor do I care to pay $17 for them. Show me the money (and the convenience): Ticket prices for adults are $12 regular and $8 Tuesday (2018 pricing). All seats are by reservation. No more paying $14 and still have to line up for 30 minutes for a good seat, or any seat as in the case of any hit movie. I chose my seat online, paid by credit card, picked ticket up at the cinema, then parked my behind in the pre-selected seat. No fuss, no line up, no guess work. Zero. If you prefer, you can still buy tickets at the box office counter. Food: The snack prices are okay. They are not street prices, but they are not highway robberies either. For reference, I bought a slush for $4.5. I didn't order popcorn, but for those who care, their popcorn is dairy free. One last thing: unless you dinner is popcorn and snacks, no you cannot order your lunch and dinner here.

Cheap prices, nice luxury reclining seats, usually not packed. Imagine Cinemas over Cineplex in my opinion.

SilverCity Richmond Hill - Large popcorn. Free refills if you can finish it!

SilverCity Richmond Hill

Silver City Richmond Hill USED to be one of my fav theatres to see a movie, until this past weekend…read moreto see Deadpool & Wolverine with the fam. This was my first time back to these theatres- actually any movie theatre since the end of 2019 and Covid. What surprised me the most was how the lobby area has not changed at all, out dated games, cold unwelcoming entry, same self serve counter and 1 person standing at a kiosk to take your tickers before you get to the ridiculously expensive concession stand. What annoyed me the most was paying $52 for 2 kids and 2 adults and then $75 at the concession for: Combo w/ 2 regular drinks, large popcorn and 1 candy - $27.99 2 kids combos at $10.99 each (smaller trays) 1 regular popcorn at $8.75 (smaller bags) 1 pack of candy $6.77 First of all, the fact that what they call a large popcorn now is a JOKE! This same bag used to be wider and much more popcorn! Same with the regular size. No more free refills, although people were freely walking over and refilling. This is insulting considering the cost of a large drink is $6.75. I will never return to a theatre and purchase anything from the concession stand. The popcorn was stale, the pop was flat and the bags of candy, I can get those at Dollarama or Walmart for $2.50 per bag. I did expect it would be expensive, but I did not anticipate that everything had shrunk in size for drinks and popcorn. Makes sense now why it was so empty there. Not even worth it to collect Scene Points anymore. There was 10% off the concession which is a thing of the past since the program got revamped during Covid. I was really hoping that since Covid that there would be improvements considering the movie theatres took a huge hit during the lockdowns and closures. We enjoyed paying $6.99 to $24.99 ordering home premieres at home and buying our own snacks. As a family of 4 movie night was costing us under $40. At a theatre it's ridiculous to pay $125. With these prices they have made their money back tenfold. Movie was amazing, easily 5 stars for me. The only reason I gave the theatre 2 stars is I love the idea of choosing my seats in advance or when I pay there. I don't have to worry about rushing to catch a show if I pay in advance. Will I go back? Yes, fun with the fam. BUT I will be there bag in hand with my own snacks and happily seeing movies at Markham VIP because I can choose my seats in advance and not worry that if I'm late that all the good seats are gone.

We always enjoyed visiting Imagine Cinemas as an independent theatre…read more Unfortunately this aging location at Promenade Mall has also disappointed us on two visits as well with movie showings that paused midway. First time was caused by a fire alarm. Second time the show stopped twice once midway and once at the very end due to fuse resets. This time they had trouble finding our pre-booked e-tickets in their system. Yes, you do get the same comfy reclinable sofa seats, and a smaller comparative audience in the theatre. They do have reasonable prices at this time, including Tuesday night $5 tickets with $5 large popcorn specials. However some seat arms show visible signs of wear, and the bright vivid screen has a bit of a noticeable glare that I've not seen at larger theatres. Skip it or hit it? We'll be back for a movie night based on value although it's a bit dicey and we noticed all subsequent shows were sold out on our latest visit.

A big plus is that on Tuesdays you can get tickets for as little as $5 including tax. Luxury on a budget. While the theatre isn't as big, I feel it is certainly much more comfortable and a better experience than IMAX seats from a larger chain like Cineplex. The staff has been consistently friendly. Once I left my phone in the theatre during the last screening and the mall was locked, and I couldn't come in to get my phone. We gave them a call. The staff found the phone and even brought it out to me!
