Have come here for movies multiple times to enjoy a Thursday night release movie. Everytime we come, it's a wonderful time, the theater is clean and the washrooms are well maintained. The service is always great and the popcorn and drinks come quickly and the way we ordered it without issues.

Cineplex sent out an amazing coupon recently that was buy 1 get 1 admission free and it even worked for the VIP theatres! We came to this theatre to see Bullet Train. CF Shops at Don Mills has a large parking structure. There are designated spots in certain floors for the VIP Cinemas but you don't have to park in them. I've never had trouble finding parking, even at busier times, albeit I was on a higher floor of the structure. The theatres are all on the second floor. There's also the bar and lounge area here. They have restrooms on both the first floor and the second floor. The washrooms are individual stalls that have been done up VIP style. The theatre we were in was decent in size. The seats are in two person pods. If you're booking online, you can see them arranged this way so you can adequately plan to sit with your crew. There is an armrest in between the pods that you can lower if you are seated with a stranger. The armrest is movable which does help for cuddling if necessary. The chairs are big leather chairs that do recline but you have to actively make yourself recline for it to stay in that position. We got there in time to place our orders for food. The servers are pretty attentive and we didn't have to wave any one over. They noticed we were looking at menus and came over. They were out of Caesar sauce the day we were there so the corresponding salad and wraps were not available. I wound up ordering a pesto chicken pizza that was insanely salty and could very well have been airplane food. I'm happy that the server taking my order suggested I order a water just in case I got thirsty. He even offered to add lemon to it for extra freshness. Glad I got that recommendation!

Live entertainment on the weekends! Easy to get to and easy parking. Super comfy seats, good drinks (avoid the artificial tasting fishbowl's), good clarity on the Dolby speakers and fresh popcorn.

We went up to spend some time in the balcony on the upper floor for some drinks and app. Some $50.00 or so later, we had a chance to enjoy a fairly decent view of the Shoppes of Don Mills while mu ching in store bought nachos and a small scoop of Guac for a small fortune. Pretentiousness aside, you get a half decent view, good and attentive service and I believe you can get a discount Wedneday on a meal and a discount o the VIP flick. One thing to keep in mind though is refrain from giving your phone to the wait staff to out in your Scene points. You don't know what they do with the phonen (I never got the points) and my Yelp App mysteriously was releted from the phone. Other tha that, a good time waster if you want as overpriced snack and movie. -Zuk

It has felt like ages since I have steeped foot into a movie theatre since the pandemic. The staff here at the Cineplex lcoation here at Shop at Don Mills follow all the protocols and I felt very safe during the whole movie watching experience. The VIP experience is pretty good here and the chairs do manually recline but not as top-end as the Yonge-Eglinton Cineplex VIP theatre with the electronic recliners. The staff were friendly and efficient about bringing our food orders before or just as the lights went down in the theatre. The areas in and around the VIP seats were clean and tidy. Overall this was a very fun experience and gives me confidence to come back for more movies in the future.

This is a smaller cineplex theatre that's a dedicated VIP 19+ location. The theatre area was clean and the staff/servers were attentive and polite. The washroom near our theatre were in pretty poor shape though. So bad that I opted to go upstairs to find a cleaner one. The recliner seats were subpar compared to other VIP locations. They felt much more cramped and couldn't recline as far back. I love going to watch movies in a VIP theatre but would rather make the trek out to other locations that have better recliners.

If I have a choice, VIP is the way to go. Not because I want to feel like a VIP but the whole experience just so much more enjoyable for me. With this Cineplex VIP Cinemas located inside Shops st Don Mills, I can do some shopping before my movies. And there are quite a handful of restaurants and bars for a drink or 2. With assigned seats, I can arrive whenever and not to worry I might not get good seats. And of course the seats are really comfortable which is a plus. Oh and I can order a cocktail/beer while watching a movie, I want to watch every single movie in VIP cinemas from now on! 10% off Scene Benefit on Tuesdays. $13.50 for the privileges which I think is quite reasonable. And yes I will be back!

I was much fonder of the other VIP cinema - the seats here weren't as comfy. I struggled to recline my seat (basically impossible without giving myself an intense 2 hr plus ab workout). The foods were closer to cafeteria quality. My once beloved sweet potato poutine was just okay. I requested pulled chicken to be added to my poutine but was given an icy whole chicken breast. The mac and cheese wedges lacked any traces of bacon as the description had written. The mozzarella stick had already hardened by the time they were served - rubbery and flavorless. Overall - don't think I will ever plan my meal/movie date here in the future.

Cool concept! I'm a bit late in trying out the VIP experience, but when you have a 1 year old, date nights are extremely rare. We bought tickets online, and it was really easy to pick them up using the mobile stand. It wasn't really needed, even on a Friday night as there was no lineup at the box office. Once we walked up the stairs, we were told seating for our movie would be at 10:30pm (we arrived early on purpose to check out the scene). We sat at the bar, which was playing the basketball game. My boyfriend loved this.. Again extremely rare to be at a bar watching the game for us. Service at the bar was slow, as they were busy fulfilling the orders from the guests inside the theatres. Once 10:30pm rolled around we made our way to the theatre, but a cleaning sign was blocking the entrance. Our movie began at 11:00pm, and we were told we had until then to order inside the theatre. We had to wait an additional 15 minutes for our theatre to be cleaned. Luckily, once seated in the huge comfy chairs we were able to grab a menu and order some snacks. The theatre wasn't full (probably 15% occupied) so ordering didn't take long. Servers come to your seat with an iPad and a moneris machine. Awesome, quick checkout! Our order came in waves during the previews. Maybe it was the alcohol, but we splurged. We grabbed the buffalo wings with fries, a regular popcorn, a large iced tea, and churros (obviously.) Food was okay, better than you can expect for theatre food. Will I return? Perhaps. But I can't seem to justify the $100 price tag that came with the night. Maybe I'll stick to Tuesday night deals.

Personal Preferences - I thought the ticket was TOTALLY worth $25 per person for perks that include: 1. Most important of all, NO kids! That's right, no crying toddlers or loud obnoxious teenagers kicking your chair. 2. A wait staff that takes your order from a menu with good variety of cocktails, wine or even a Starbucks coffee. Our server was very nice and from what I can see, all of them are super friendly. 3. Price of food was not as marked up as I thought. I got a decent sized poutine for $8! The popcorn was around $6 which is what you'd pay at a regular theater anyways. 4. Not only are the chairs comfortable, you can lift up the arm-rest between you and your spouse. It's like the two seaters were made specifically for couples! I didn't get a chance to sit in the lounge as I came right from dinner. (I know I got poutine and popcorn, don't judge!) Not to be a snob, but I don't know if I can go back to regular movie theaters now. Pro-Tip: Use your Scene points to see a movie here for free!

I spent a number of Sundays picking up a friend at his home in East York. We'd head up here for either a movie first, followed by dinner, or vice-versa. Back then, this Cineplex wasn't well-kept. I remember being disgusted with the women's washroom. Things have definitely improved! I recently came back here to take in Depeche Mode's Spirits in the Forest flim. It played at a handful of Cineplex theatres. The closest one from my home was this one. I bought a ticket weeks ago. Well, I really used my Scene points to score a free movie and am thankful that I did. I got here at 6:30 pm, half an hour before the film was expected to start. I got a decent parking spot steps away from the entrance on a rainy Thursday evening and walked in. The Poptopia popcorn looked enticing. I stood there, looking at the flavours. I wasn't hungry, though. I opted to go inside. I got my ticket scanned off my phone through the Cineplex app by a nice man. Pretty much everyone was going into theatre 8. The seats are roomy. I had a good view of the screen. I was nearly sitting in the centre of a row, roughly four rows above the main pathway. I played TimePlay. I joined in rather late. I ended up being second out of three people. To me, that's a miracle! The film was great. When there was concert footage, I felt like I was there. The picture was crisp. The sound was excellent. I enjoyed hearing stories from fans who flew into Berlin to watch the band almost two years ago. I used the women's washroom. Things have improved! Everything was clean and the floor wasn't sticky. Yay! I liked looking at the arcade games. I rarely have time to play them. One of these days, I will. Although Markham and Richmond Hill are my go-to Cineplex theatres, simply because they are close to where I reside, this one is not a bad alternative. There are more restaurants in the vicinity that it's worth the trip over here to take in a flick and grab a bite to eat. (440)

It reminds me of the time my dad took me to see the first Indiana Jones movie when I was a kid. I went to see Capitalism: A Love Story (highly recommend BTW). A very cute older gentleman was working the counter where you buy your tickets. Unfortunately, I did have to run out to the bank machine as I had no cashish on me, and it is CASH ONLY at this theatre. 1 adult ticket is $10. They have a small concession stand (I didn't check it out - but the popcorn smelled great!). When you walk into the building the ticket gentleman is on your left and just a few feet beyond him is the concession stand. I thought it was kind of funny that the women's washroom was on the main level, but the men have to go downstairs. Huh. As I was sitting waiting for the movie to start (as I was a bit late, my wait was only 1 minute), I really saw how much has changed in the movie theatre architecture and interior design. There is no gradual grade changes for the flooring, it is just a slight raise from the front to rear seats. The seats do not recline and are shorter in height. The wallpaper is the same as the stuff my grandma had in the 70's and 80's. Heavy with a velour raised pattern. Grandma's was green, this stuff was red. The place does have a bit of a musty smell to it, but you get used to it within the first 5 minutes. The other thing that is really noticeable about this place - no commercials and no previews. You came to see movie X - you only see movie X. Also when the movie starts, they have it down perfectly with how the lights dim...a small detail, but very cool! All in all, if you are in the neighbourhood and don't want to go to a crowded, noisy theatre, check this place out. If you want to stick with an older theatre that has a bit more charm (and commercials), go to the Fox.
