Have you ever experienced a theater where the staff forgot that part of their job was to clean the theater. I can truthfully say I have having been to this location. Popcorn, candy, and drink cups were all over the theater left by the previous patrons. There was even a foul, funky, odor that reminded my date of defecation and let me tell you the odor of defecation does not add to ambiance. We've been here before and enjoy investing time and money, however the theater staff needs to work harder if it expects to erase the taint of the smell and filth from my memory. read more

I've gone to this theater twice and I haven't had any bad experiences. I usually go to matinee movies where there is hardly no crowd and you tend to miss all the immature teenager like behaviors. The seats are comfy, the concession stand has a variety of snacks, and the customer service is average. This theater hasn't been a problem for me. read more

Worst movie theater ever, today I wanted to go watch a movie with my friend. I wanted to watch SouthPaw but I wasn't able to since I'm the only one that brought my I.D. Okay, cool; we decide on watching another movie, but the cashier didn't want to sell me tickets because i had a folded scooter. I asked to speak to the manager and I spoke to some guy and he said the same thing. They didn't even let me place it somewhere. Never coming here again. I'm happy there is a theater in Carson but this review is on their customer service. The man that helped us choose our seats and buy our tickets was less than pleasant. He did not greet us, never made eye contact and look annoyed. He basically looked like he hated working there. So anyways I was ready to return my ticket and go else where. If they employ people like that then this theater has some serious blinders and makes me wonder about other areas they might be lacking . This Cinemark is a joke! I missed 30 minutes of my movie waiting on mozzarella sticks that were supposed to take "5 to 6 minutes." There were two other women who had also been waiting for their food and when it was brought out it was warm, not hot. We had to ask someone else's to bring them out, bc their original girl just disappeared. So maybe it did take 5-6 minutes but they didn't bring them out right away. Not only that, but the policy on who can and cannot chaperone someone under 18 is so dumb. They HAVE to be a parent, unless you look old enough to pass as a parent. So if my aunt brought in my 16 year old brother, she could chaperone and wouldn't be questioned, but if I bring him in, I need proof of guardianship because I'm not his parent or old enough to be his parent even though I'm an adult??? On top of that, they're supposed to have a bag policy but let two white men stroll into the theater with hiking backpacks. Lol. read more

I had a very good experience here yesterday. I arrived at the mall at 10:30am to purchased tickets for a 2:35pm movie. I knew it was going to be crowded being that it's Spring Break in our local area BUT I didn't expect the line to be wrapped around and out the door into the mall! Well I stood there because it was moving pretty quick. When I got to the front of the line to my surprise only two registers were opened. The assistant manager was calmly working several registers swiftly! He appeared to be so relaxed and in such control. When we arrived hours later for our actual movie, there he was now in the concession stand doing the same thing! Calmly working hard swiftly and efficiently! Who is this guy??? Well I took the time to go to the theater manager and she told me that his name is Amir Mohammed. Well kudos to him!!!! This guy is so kind, polite and just a hard worker with a cool demeanor. Thank you Cinemark Carson, in which we frequent in my neighborhood for having such good employees (we had good experiences with a few that day) but Mr. Mohammed went way out and beyond. Loved the new theater we needed one in carson for years last one i remember is the old drive in long long ago.... i love the self serve food area and the starbucks addition. Seats are comfy. Great atmosphere. Unfortunately my first time was rudely disruptive by a group (12) kids literally unsupervised making fools of themselves and disrupting the moviegoers. Very nice movie theater. Cafeteria style concession stand. You grab your own food and pay. Theater screen was huge. Biggest screen I have ever seen. Sound was awesome. Clean. It is still new. Manager was on point. I think he was the manager on duty tonight. Made sure everything was clean. No refills on the self serve soda. They have candy you can weigh in a bag like the sweet factory. Me and my family went to see a movie last night and we had such a uncomfortable situation after the movie. My mom wanted and ice cream so we approached to DJACOBO to ask for one (she doesn't know the language) so then I came and I asked for 1 scoop in a cone. The fist thing out of him mound was "NO I CAN'T I have to give you 2" then my sisters Said okay I eat the other flavor no problem. Then I asked for a plastic cup so she can put the other scoop on the side and he says again NO I CAN'T I have to charge more... He said $3.50 for a cup. ridiculous!!! I said ok just put it on top after this he tried to charge me for popcorn and a soda That we got BEFORE the movie. My bag of popcorn was almost empty. I tried to mange the situation but his answer was no no no! He probably need to lear another language or another word better then NO! Saw Star Wars on Sunday around 1pm...one of the worst experiences you could have for a movie your super excited about. They let someone come into the theater with a baby. Constant crying of course. Missed a lot of what was said throughout the film. Ignoring the fact that those parents are inconsiderate jerks, why this theater would allow them in at all is a mystery to me. Spanish language commentary throughout the movie from many others in the audience was a great addition to the film. I really want to thank those individuals. Second time coming here. The first time it was great! Second time..a few issues occurred. First, the movie didn't start. After 10 min, I went to get someone to fix the problem. Second, after the long previews..they played the wrong movie! I had to again go and get someone. Finally, the movie started and they skipped the previews since we waited too long. I first noticed when I went to see Toy Story 4 that the sound wasn't so great. It sounded very low. Didn't think too much of it but then I went to go see Spiderman Far from Home in XD and noticed that the sound quality of the movie was pretty bad( since XD movies are supposed to be better quality overall). Since 2015 Cinemark Carson is the best thing that ever happened to the City of Carson. Clean, good staff and organized as far as the way the theater management runs its franchise. It's the perfect place to go and enjoy a movie; not until you've had a very bad experience with another moviegoer. There is an important decision to make whether or not, consider spending time with a family to go watch a movie at Cinemark Carson. There are risks of getting into an altercation just because some individuals don't give respect to other people watching the movie. When you have politely asked that individual to stop hitting your backseat, the individual still keep doing it, so when you tell her the second time around to please stop doing it, the mouth of the other individual start bullying you around telling you "why don't you transfer seats or leave and go home". It is so upsetting a person with hypertension could have suffered a heart attack during the altercation but the wisest thing to do is to just exit the theater to save your sanity. It is sad and so unfair for this theater to have such illiterate, inconsiderate and unpleasant moviegoer/s. read more

Nice new theatre with comfy seats, Starbucks, ice cream, and my fav part...a choice between regular hot buttered corn or fresh kettle corn. Or...wait for it...half and half. Nice to have a place like this in the neighborhood. Can get a little crowded on weekends but assigned seating helps. Discount kids movie day series in the Summer is a nice touch. So I decided to come here a few times and read some other reviews before I wrote mines and I must say: Alot of y'all are waaaaaaaaaaaaay off about this place. I never try to judge a place based on one visit especially if it was a negative visit. Let me start by saying I normally go to either AMC Del Amo 18 or AMC Marina 6 Dine-In (fancy huh? lol j/k). Del Amo has decent prices but we like prefer reserve seating w/ the 21+ option to keep the younger, immature crowds away. Looking one day as AMC was booked, we found this theater. Right in the mall in Carson, the layout was nice and clean. The theater was fairly new so it was empty. The food was so-so a.k.a. movie food, the seats are comfy, size of screen is enjoyable. Since then we have been back a few times and only had one issue throughout the 10+ movies we have seen here: The security can be a bit much; they made us show our tickets TWICE before getting to the theater...really? Otherwise I didnt give it 4 or 5 stars cause no alcohol and no 21 over option lol my two faves. To me this place is a step up past decent (see your local $3 theater for that) and great for a cheaper option especially when taking the whole family. FYI, To those complaining about using Fandango how about buying the tickets the old fashioned way...thru the actual movie threater?! lol there's a new idea huh. I've had issues in the past with other movies w/ Fandango so again stop relying on technology & take your lazy ass down to the theater and just have a good time! read more

Went here for the first time last night to watch Triple 9. The theatre and screen is about the same as any other spots I've been to . Seats are comfortable, but you can't lift the armrest for added comfort or to get closer to your date. Love the cafe and the food though. Wouldn't mind coming back here again. read more
