It is incredibly easy to buy and secure your seats online prior to arrival, and then you just flash the QR code at the entrance for seamless entry. Parking is a breeze to - they validate it once you scan the barcode of your ticket on the validation machine inside the theater. They also have the best popcorn in the city, fluffy and never burnt, with no leftover kernels. Just be careful not to over-butter it like I sadly tend to do sometimes! I absolutely love a late Saturday night movie after dinner. I just saw the 10:15 PM showing of Practical Magic 2 last night after dinner at one of my favorite restaurants. When the movie let out at 12:05 AM, we took a nice walk across the way and could even hear music drifting over from Fat Rosie's. It was beautiful weather and a fun-filled atmosphere--just the perfect experience. I also really enjoy catching an early Sunday morning show here to cap off the weekend. Highly recommend!

Tickets are like $12+ now (the tickets we bought were discounted because of the early showing, and I paid $11.99 for an adult ticket). And most egregious is that it costs $20 to park. I hope that the villagers of Rosemont get a ton of resident perks, because the village sucks money out of people left and right. This theatre has a Dolby theatre. This is a dine-in theatre as well, so you can order at the counter or on the app and they'll deliver to your seat. You can also order ahead and pick a time for them to deliver to you, which is a kinda cool option. I don't know if they actually have a functioning box office any longer. They have ticket kiosks from which you can purchase, and you can purchase tickets on the app. I think there was a sign about getting tickets at guest relations, so perhaps that is an in-person option. This was once a theatre called Muvico before it was acquired by AMC. I never visited when it was still that brand. But I'm curious about the history of the theatre. It has one room that is called the Charlie Chaplin room, and I'm curious why they have individual rooms that aren't theaters. But having said all that, with the obnoxious, ridiculously high parking fee that can't be discounted at all (at least if you visit the theatre), it's unlikely I'll visit again to dig into that.

So, we decided to buy tickets at the theater to save on the convenience fee. This was our first time at AMC Niles 12. We attended the 7:45 PM show on a Tuesday and arrived around 7:25 PM. There was a young couple ahead of us buying tickets at a small counter right inside the entrance. They encountered issues with some kind of refunds and then struggled to pay using their phones, which weren't working. After waiting for 12-15 minutes, the supervisor who came to assist the cashier directed a staff member to sell us tickets at the main ticket counter, which was originally closed and not used that evening. The theater itself was fairly standard, with a large concession area that we didn't use. Our movie was in Auditorium 9, and surprisingly, no one checked our tickets. Once inside, we had the entire auditorium to ourselves--there were only three of us in total at first, and six by the end of the night. The screen was a decent size, and the sound quality was good, providing a comfortable movie-watching experience. However, the seats didn't recline, which didn't bother me much, but I did wish they were cleaner. They could definitely benefit from a deep cleaning. Before the movie, I visited the restroom. It appeared clean at first glance, but the individual toilet bowls were not, though I did eventually find one that was acceptable. Overall, I appreciate that this local theater is showing "Ne Zha 2". This is a fantastic animated blockbuster in Mandarin with Chinese and English subtitles. It has already broken numerous records in China and has outgrossed "Inside Out 2" at the worldwide box office. While it is still showing, I recommend watching the first "Ne Zha" on YouTube, and then go see this one on the largest screen you can!

It replaced Arclight which was in a decline. The cinema had been renovated 2 years ago. It was a Thursday afternoon, and the cinema was pretty quiet. There were big kiosks for ticket purchases, and the process was quick and easy. We got a small bag (which was not too small) for $10 plus tax, a little pricy for popcorn, but it was good. The popcorn guy was friendly, and he also doubled as the guy to collect our ticket stubs, and informed us which cinema room to go to. We were there for the preview of the movie, and we got the entire cinema #5 to the 3 of us! While the lobby and hallways of the cinema was nice and cool, this room was a little too warm. We totally understood that they would not cool down an entire room when there was no audience inside. I went to talk to the popcorn guy about the air temperature issue, and he promised to have it adjusted. As I went back to the cinema room. We could feel that cool air started to come out, and it was comfortable for the rest of the showing. The chairs were big, clean, and comfortable. Sound and picture were great. The movie itself was enjoyable just like the first time, and the English dubbing was perfect. The entire cinema was very clean. I was especially pleased with their restrooms being spotless clean. There is a bar in the lobby, and across from it was the biggest poster I've ever seen in a cinema lobby, it was a colorful digital poster of Ne Zha 2, very appropriate for such a spectacular movie. When we left the cinema after seeing the movie, there was another guy at the hallway collecting ticket stubs, and there was obviously more audience coming in. We enjoyed this cinema experience very much, and would definitely return to see other movies in the future.

One of the key points about this theater is that there are unusually wide rows, so the seats are nicely distributed from front to back. It felt more spacious than other AMC locations. Lastly, parking was a breeze. I think there's a lot less traffic here as the mall scene has declined over the past 10 years. I'm on the A-List, so I'll be back!

The upgraded their seats and they can be reclined and have heat and cold options. Staff are very friendly and they recently offer kiosks to order your tickets at the theater. They have a rewards program that is also an added benefit.

We hadn't been to this theater for many years, so we were glad to find that we still had a very good experience. Although I'm not reviewing the movie itself, I do want to mention that I had somehow never actually watched it before. I had seen many images and clips from the movie here and there over the years, but I had never sat down and watched the whole thing. We truly enjoyed Terminator 2. No wonder it is considered such an iconic movie, it is still a great movie by today's standards. The great sound and picture quality at this AMC really helped us enjoy the movie. I was especially pleased that the theater was clean, including the seats and trays. We were in Auditorium 5. The temperature was comfortable throughout the movie as well. The large "leather" seats were supposed to be comfortable, but unfortunately, the recline and footrest buttons on my seat did not work. My husband tried his, and both worked for him. The seats were also very large, but they had become somewhat sunken to one side, presumably from years of wear and tear, which made them less comfortable than they should have been. I tried several seats, and they all seemed to have the same issue. Since I was sitting between my husband and my daughter, I decided to just keep my original seat and tried not to let it bother me. We had already had pizza for dinner before the movie, so we didn't get anything from the concessions. Still, I was glad to see that the concession area was bustling around 6:45 pm. The washrooms were also quite clean around that time. Overall, we're glad to see that this AMC is still running well after so many years, although we're sad to see Northbrook Court slowly dying. Seeing a movie in a theater is such an enjoyable experience, and we hope people will continue to support movie theaters so that places like this can stay around for many more years.

The show was in theater number six which was a very nice size. The seats were super comfortable and reclined with a foot rest. Also, what I like about the seating here is that each row is very private, and I could barely see the people in the rows ahead of me. Plus there was plenty of room between my seat and the next ones over. The sound and picture quality were excellent! I am happy that this updated AMC theater remains even though the mall has been dead for years.
