I have been coming to this AMC for many years now with family to catch our favorite flicks. I have been coming more recently because I am an A-List member, as is my buddy. The staff has always been nice, and the popcorn good. I love the popcorn here, I can't seen a movie w/o it. I haven't tried much else on their menu, though they sometimes have interesting flavors on the Coca-Cola freestyle machine . I would say for the most part the auditoriums are clean, but sometimes the more popular films have less time to get them tuned up between screenings. There was one time I was here with family and some teens being rowdy, and the staff stepped in and did their job to quite them down, so kudos. This same visit also saw the fire alarm go off during previews, for reasons that weren't made clear to us. The staff did as well as they could, getting people things out to them, and vouchers to return at another time, though we were able to return inside to see our movie (Jumanji: The Next Level i think?) All in all pretty good for a chain theatre, looking forward to my next movie! read more

I went to AMC Randhurst 12 to see Wicked For Good. My husband and I saw a matinee showing in 3D. The tickets were just under $20 person. The theater was clean enough. The seats were comfortable but did not recline. The part that ruined this experience was the twenty-eight minutes of previews and advertisements that I was forced to endure before the movie started. At the Cinergy Cinemas in Wheeling there was less than five minutes of preview before the main attraction began. Soda was over $7 each. I don't enjoy these high prices. With an experience like this, it's no wonder why theater attendance is down. read more

As an A-List member, I have been popping over there a lot while my kid is in rehearsals I appreciate the that they have water cups out so I can drink water after dinner with zero hassle! One star off because they remodeled the place and did not put recliners in, what a bummer. read more

It has been a long while since I've revisited an AMC theatre. And now I remember why. We bought our tickets online and when checking in there were long lines for online purchased tickets. After waiting in that long line you head over to purchase the food and popcorn and are in another long line. We had never been to this location so when we tried to ask the staff where the line starts or what the process was we just got scoffed and a look. Eventually we asked folks and were able to figure it out. There was popcorn all over the ground, and the popcorn we got was super stale. Once we got to the seat, our seats were covered in popcorn and sort of wet. It was super gross. The person behind me was coughing and they were so close I felt their cough. I usually don't mind close proximities but with the seats being preassigned I didn't have much of a choice, and them being dirty really left me with an uneasy feeling. The restrooms reeked from the moment we walked in, the toilets were awful because they were all clogged and had no toilet paper the few times I went to try to use the bathroom. At one point I wanted to get a refund for our tickets and just leave but decided to stick it out. I likely won't be coming back to this theatre, and it's not to say that the staff wasn't working hard but they could've been friendlier and maybe there needed to be more staff and signage. read more

The AMC Randhurst 12 is a decent enough theater to watch a movie. We recently were there to see the updated Nosferatu movie. It was in theater #1 and we reserved seats in row L, seats #1 & #2. They need to place a warning on these seats as having an obstructive view. There were subtitles in the movie and the railing/half-wall in front of us blocked the bottom half of the screen. The other disappointment (besides the movie which has nothing to do with AMC) was that the nice seats that look like recliners don't actually recline at all. They are ramrod straight making sitting on them for more than 30 minutes quite uncomfortable. It's a nice theater, clean, but not up to par with newer theaters. read more

I Never knew this theater existed until now! I love this little movie theater! Walking up they have the new posters out all over the place, it's clean and the food there is delicious! I had gotten the nachos with a hotdog and I don't even eat hotdogs but it was tasty! The workers were actually happy and friendly and it was refreshing to see. It's been a while... my wife and I decided to see Jurassic Park tonight. We ordered tickets online and picked them up outside. No more waiting in line. Once we got inside we went to the concession stand--so many choices! You can get any size popcorn, any candy, and any soda flavor. We got some candy and went to find our seats. Seating is assigned online, but I prefer general seating. The seats are big, leather and pretty comfy, except that they don't recline at all. Overall good experience. Everything is clean, including bathrooms, and not overly crowded. read more

My girlfriend and I were very disappointed in our movie going experience on Friday, April 7, 2023. First, I found it pretty ridiculous that AMC has the nerve to charge an extra $1 for "premium" seats. In one of the worst economies in American history, coming out of a pandemic, and they do their customers like that. It is what it is, expecting companies and corporations to care about their customers is too much I guess. But we got the upgraded seats. Not only where they disgusting as hell (covered in greasy popcorn butter and gum) but they didn't even recline. I can't remember the last time I was at a theatre where the seats didn't recline. If you're gonna charge extra for premium seating, get some comfy seats and quit being cheap. What also sucked was the fact that we couldn't enjoy the $7 Icees we preordered because the Coke was not working, Pretty silly that they only have one Coke dispenser when it's gotta be popular. Next time we head to the movies (probably fast and furious next month) we will be going to a different theatre that actually has nice seats and cares about their cleanliness. The cute cocktail bar serves wine but it's overpriced at 17 dollars per glass. We ordered it anyway and brought it inside the theater with our bucket of popcorn. We enjoyed the movie as well. Comfy clean cozy atmosphere. read more

Ok, this is a one-off! But, based on principle I feel the need to share. I'm sure many of you have been treated unfairly as a consumer and have tried to get some sort of satisfaction from these large companies but, to no avail! My issue is with the AMC Theater. Last December I purchased a gift card from the AMC Theater at Randhurst Mall for my wife for a Xmas gift. $100 The lady who handled the transaction was clearly having a hard time... I should've made her show me the money on the card before i left. Fast forward to February 2024 when my wife and her friend went to the AMC to enjoy a movie... and there's no funds available! I've reached out to AMC in multiple ways and they seem to not care! I will never step foot in an AMC theater again unless they make it right! Wen to see Licorice Pizza last weekend. When you arrive vaccine card and ID are required. It is sad to see the lack of customers for the matinee showing. Besides my husband I , there were 3 other customers for the movie. The workers were all very pleasant, and the theater and seats were clean, but we were seeing the first movie of the day. The price is reasonable for the matinee. I am uncertain how they will stay in business with such little attendance. read more

Watched Beetlejuice the other week with my family. It was completely frustrating--concessions were slow to realize I was standing there for 5 minutes. I saw one of the supervisors, assuming because he's the only one with a buttoned collar shirt, talking to a female worker at concession only to leave conversations to go on his phone scrolling through Instagram at the other end of the counter. The staff overall looked like they hate their job or are too bothered that they had to empty the trash. Theaters themselves were fairly clean, but staff left the atmosphere uneasy for my family to enjoy our movie-goers experience. read more

I would like someone from management to explain to me how I was charged over $15 for 1-large soda and 1-bag of popcorn. On top of the over $40 I spent on move tickets. Lets do some simple math and see if people can have a glass shattering moment here. I just spent $55 dollars to go sit in chairs other people sit in and I'm confident are rarely if ever cleaned. I could BUY the blu ray of that same movie (own it forever), make much better snacks and watch it in the comfort of my own home for less than HALF THAT PRICE! (And if the movie is bad, just sell it and make some of that money back) People who say, "But it's a fun night out", might as well have a large bon-fire and throw your money into it. read more

I much prefer Streets of Woodfield with its close and ample parking. At Randhurst, there are more employees than there are customers which is pretty sad. I don't foresee this site lasting much longer. It's been so empty throughout the pandemic and even now. I also was watched and followed after my teen son and a friend went to watch an R -rated movie. They didn't have their IDs so I came into the movie with them (purchased a ticket) and literally was followed and watched by 2 employees. I was in the hallway right before the seating area texting during the trailers and 2 employees came in to sweep. Since when do employees sweep after the lights and dimmed and movie is about to start? When I stepped out, they asked my son and his friend to leave. Which is ridiculous. They wonder why nobody wants to go to the movie theatre anymore with their $20 snacks and stalking behavior. I've never experienced this at any of the other movie theaters I've been to around the country. This is also why I will prefer to stream movies from home or go to Independent movie theaters over AMC where the snacks are affordable and the employees aren't harassing paying customers. Unfortunately, they've put so many Indy theaters out of business with their monopoly there aren't many left in the area. read more

It was A-OK. My three stars is based on comparing other AMC theaters in the Chicoland area with leather seats (Northbrook Court and Vernon Hills). First and foremost, the picture and sound was perfect. Though the theater seemed a little worn in, it was still very clean, which I appreciated. It's just not the same class of theater as the others in the area. The seats do not recline, but there was a ton of leg room around each seat and distance between the next seat over. I didn't have access to a tray for my food and drink, but they do provide you with a cup holder as part of the seat. I happened to notice a cluster of seats with a table, and I thought that was pretty cool...private seating for you and your friends...I think? As far as the concession stand, it doesn't make any sense. It's kind of a free-for-all intermingled with the tickets. It was a little chaotic. The popcorn was self-serve. I'm not a fan of public food sharing (you just never know if someone spit in it or coughed in it), so I asked someone behind the counter to give it to me from the popcorn machine. It turned out to be cold. Though I didn't buy any licorice, I thought a pack of smaller Twizzlers for $5.50 ($.80 in the grocery store) was a bit much. The new Randhurst AMC is now my favorite movie theater to go to! I went here a while back to see the Hunger Games and was super confused to see that Randhurst moved the movie theater! It is not super schmancy and clean... and I love it. The old theater location definitely needed more than a face lift, so I am glad they decided to start from scratch! I love the setup of the movie theater and how you can buy a drink in the front bar area while waiting for a movie. It is a bit of a drive for me so I have not been back since the Hunger Games, but I fully intend on returning. read more

in a group of 5, 4 had ids for an R rated movie. The fifth person offered to show them a picture but they said no. We bought tickets for another movie and tried to sneak in. We paid, we were old enough, there was nothing wrong with letting us see the movie, but regardless they kicked us out. Terribly frustrating people. read more

I've been going to this theatre and the AMC In Lake Zurich/Woodfield for 10+ years now. The Randhurst location is always behind and does not have recliners. However, because of its proximity, we go to Randhurst occasionally. Charlene does not make it any better. I brought a 2 year old to go see Frozen for the 7th time this month and Charlene stopped us and told us we needed a 2nd ticket since she's 2. I said normally they just let her go for free since she's 2 and a few weeks old, but I have no problem paying. I asked Charlene if it's possible that my 2 year old and her grandmother can take their seats (movie started 15 minutes ago & the commercials are about to be over) and I would pay for the ticket in the meantime. This sad person must have gone through some tough times in her life to not allow a 2 year old to go see a kids movie, while her father is literally holding a credit card. read more

Consistently loud people in the audience and no theater workers enforce a quiet environment. Was really distracting and took away from the movie going experience. Also the volume of the movie was really low which I found odd since I could hear another movie from our theater room. Would not recommend this theater, go to a different location. read more

I met some friends here to see Aladdin. I'd never been to the area but there a few small pockets of parking around the side and back of the theatre and a garage more into the shopping center. We had one friend buy all our tickets and really there didn't seem to be any control of who walked in. They checked her phone and then a small group of us headed in and to the bar. Not like we were trying to pull anything but we had other friends come in later and just breeze right past the ticket checker without a problem because they saw us in the bar area. As for the bar, they have a full selection of offerings. A mixed drink cost $13, which is a definite hefty price tag. As for the general concessions, they were equally as expensive. I got a slushee and a bag of gummy bears and it cost over $13! Wowza. I wasn't a fan of the take it to go concessions- I found it confusing and overwhelming. It's like a food court, but smaller, and more hectic. The theater was comfortable, it was nice to have assigned seats too. Movie and sound were both clear in quality. read more

Convenient and nice AMC that doesn't get too busy... parking garage is convenient, and there are special prices for early AM shows. So, there is a fun thing I've done on occasion, seen a movie early on Sat, then have brunch at Eggsperience at noon. It's a fun change of pace, can see a brand new movie at decent discount of $4-5, which helps with the brunch tab of about $16-20. The 3D theater has assigned seats now, which is nice if you like to arrive after the 25m of previews... and have a nice seat. I prefer spending that browsing the TJ Maxx instead or chatting at the bar... geez. read more

This is one of the better theaters in the area. The seats are comfortable and the staff are attentive and friendly. The chairs recline, which is a bonus, however the armrests are plastic and kind of get in the way. As usual for theaters, the food is crazy expensive, but at least it is good. The popcorn is fresh and the "Butter" that you can put on it is not bad. Sound system and screens are very good. Way too many actual commercials before the movie previews. read more

Although the prices here are a bit higher than the plethora of other local theater options available, this theater is definitely newer and larger than other options. One of the best things is the balcony type seating available with plenty of leg room and the family friendly side seats. The quality of the projection is also top notch (super bright and crisp, even in the larger rooms) and sound system is fantastic. The only addition that would really bring it over the top is if they were to install recliner seats like many of the other local theaters have available. read more

Good place for a movie, I've almost always go to the morning shows so I'm not sure what it's like during the crowded hours. Movie - it's good, comfortable, and you can pick a seat that is good for you. Trash bins are towards the entrance/exit doors, and cup holders are present. Apparently no sticky floors, and usually nice and clean. Movie viewing is unremarkable without issues. Food - the usual availability of expensive drink and food, but it's very decent; popcorn is good, and the cheese flat bread I had last week was excellent. Other items are available. I like pop, so the Coke dispensers are great for your choice of soda pop with your choice of flavors, like vanilla or cherry. Service - I almost always go to the first or second shows, so it's never crowded, hence a smaller crew - check in your ticket to ticket sales and they'll give you directions to the movie room and give you 3-D glasses as applicable - no ticket attendant is present in those hours. The workers here are friendly and very helpful to make your cinema experience a good one. read more

Well, I'm not quite sure if I really like this place or not. Considering it's brand new, I think I expected more, BUT the good things were good where it counted. The Good and Bad, I'll break it down. The GOOD: - The Theatre is brand new. Looks nice walking in. Everything's updated. - Theatre size is great, and of course they have deep stadium seating - Beautiful, Red leather, slightly-rocking seats are in the theaters - The "hang-out" seating. There were like 3 little "group seating" areas off to the side of the main seating. This entailed 4 chairs with a little table in front of them, and secluded from the rest of the aisle seating. Cute idea to get people to take the "end" chairs!! I like it. The seats, although not the rockers, were actually quite comfy! I have serious back problems, and I was comfortable the whole way thru the movie The BAD: - Sticky floors!! When we were walking down the chair aisle, our feet were making crazy noises - cuz the floor was so sticky!! YUCK - Large drinks don't fit in the cup-holders! Really?! Nobody thought of that before-hand, eh? Which is probably why they have such sticky floors. I bet people put their cups in there, and they probably get knocked over or something. - Snack area was disjointed. They were trying to be creative and it didn't work out. - Large popcorn and 2 Large drinks was like $21. expensive. read more
