Loved enjoying a movie Sutton on a sofa instead of a chair - so cosy and comfortable with a nice fresh-made box of buttered popcorn

Horrendous customer service, disgruntled employees and odd seating arrangements (random couches). I will never visit this place again.

I was disappointed; i was expecting an old-time theater and while it's got an old-time marquee, the inside is pure mall theater.

Downtown Wilmette is lovely and has this charming theatre where you can see not as commercial films in a more intimate setting.

This is a great option for a movie theatre, with lots of stuff to do around! I was extremely…read moreimpressed by the almost fully horizontal, comfortable leather seats, which felt like the movie theatre version of business class (the latter being a lot more...aspirational). Inside, the theatre was a bit too hot and stuffy, but it got better as we got used to it...or someone else notified them! The hallway into the theatre smelled like BO, which was unforeseen, but the theatre itself did not, thankfully. The bathrooms were almost fully out of toilet paper on a busy Friday night! However, when I told the one person I saw working there later on, she was very nice and said she'd tell someone to take care of it (and that person did!). It isn't bad enough to deduct two stars, even with other minor issues, but the sound itself was kind of bad at times...this is one of the main things a theater should be aware of! Some loud sounds in the movie resulted in some of the speakers rattling annoyingly. I am surprised. Movie theatres should be able to handle loud sounds. But in my recliner, it was easier to stomach...

AMC is typically my theater of choice, although I do prefer Old Orchard to Northbrook Court these…read moredays. However, the last few movies I saw were last minute and didn't leave many seat options at AMC. And so we ended up at CMC Old Orchard Luxury instead. However, this is anything, but luxury... - The line for the concessions is unnecessary long because they only have 1 person working it. And then you pick up your drink (and perhaps other things) in a window, which requires another wait. Why don't they have do it yourself fountain machines like the rest of the movie theaters/local businesses. - I've never met a movie theater popcorn I don't like until here. It's so stale and while i was bummed my husband got a kids pack popcorn for us to share at first, it turned out to be too much popcorn since it was inedible. The seats themselves are comfortable so they get a star for that. I recently when to the theater in the Glen and these seats definitely beat those, but AMC at NBC is still the winner when it comes to movie theaters in the North Shore. If you do find yourself here I suggest parking at Buffalo Wild Wings for an easy access to the theater unless you want to take advantage of all the dining/shopping options at Old Orchard.

There is one day of the year that's been requested as a day off every year for the past seven years…read moreand it ain't my birthday and it ain't Arbor Day. It's B-Fest. Held the last weekend in January at Northwestern University B-Fest is a 24 hour bad movie marathon spanning 6pm Friday until 6pm Saturday and has shown some of the worst films of the 20th and 21st centuries. Such heyday gems as Kingdom of the Spiders and The Magnetic Monster all the way through psychedelic 60's bombs, 70's blacksploitation, 80's classics and even contemporary used diapers like Baby Geniuses II and Battlefield Earth have seen screentime. But that's only half the story, the real attraction is the MST3K-like audience participation that takes place as well as the crowned king of B-Movies, Plan 9 From Outer Space as the perennial midnight movie at the fest. Get your tickets early as it's sold out quicker and quicker every year. Show up with comfortable clothes, a pillow, a blanket, a stack of paper plates and enough lozenges to quell your inevitable laryngitis from yelling out every quip that occurs to you. It's simply put the most fun you can have without waking up the next morning to something awkward.

Sunday Funday - and both my teams won (Bears and Chiefs)!!…read more Great night for a movie!! Verity was excellent. The space was clean and the employees were friendly as always. Popcorn fluffy, buttery, and cooked to perfection as usual. Being recognized regulars has its perks! They already know all the things I like - mainly filling my bucket halfway full so I can add my butter for the first toss before the other half gets added in for the final toss!! I'm…read moreglad that they haven't genericized the outside and made it look like any other nondescript building around. But it's just insane how expensive it is. Tickets are like $12+ now (the tickets we bought were discounted because of the early showing, and I paid $11.99 for an adult ticket). And most egregious is that it costs $20 to park. I hope that the villagers of Rosemont get a ton of resident perks, because the village sucks money out of people left and right. This theatre has a Dolby theatre. This is a dine-in theatre as well, so you can order at the counter or on the app and they'll deliver to your seat. You can also order ahead and pick a time for them to deliver to you, which is a kinda cool option. I don't know if they actually have a functioning box office any longer. They have ticket kiosks from which you can purchase, and you can purchase tickets on the app. I think there was a sign about getting tickets at guest relations, so perhaps that is an in-person option. This was once a theatre called Muvico before it was acquired by AMC. I never visited when it was still that brand. But I'm curious about the history of the theatre. It has one room that is called the Charlie Chaplin room, and I'm curious why they have individual rooms that aren't theaters. But having said all that, with the obnoxious, ridiculously high parking fee that can't be discounted at all (at least if you visit the theatre), it's unlikely I'll visit again to dig into that.

To start, half the main parking lot out front was fenced off for some kind of project nearby, which caused space to go fast. I don't mind a bit of a walk but It felt like needles in a haystack finding a spot. It didn't help that people weren't paying attention either. It was very busy inside, seeing as it was a Saturday. The staff seemed to move things along pretty efficiently, but this lead to neglect in other areas. The floors were dirty and littered. They were also out of ice in the coke machines, though I can understand that happens. Everything else was fine. The restrooms were a little gross and in need of some TLC, but I digress. The seats we got last minute were actually decent and we made good convo with other guests. I think on less busy days it would be a little more enjoyable.

Instead of feeling like a place to go see a movie, it felt cold, automated, and completely impersonal. From the self-service kiosks to the bare-bones staff interaction, everything seemed designed to move people through as quickly as possible rather than make the experience enjoyable. There was no sense of welcome, no charm, and nothing that made the outing feel special. The whole place felt more like a waiting room than a movie theater. The lighting, the layout, and the lack of any human touch made it hard to feel immersed before the film even started. Going to the movies should feel like an experience, but this theater stripped away all of that and turned it into something mechanical and forgettable.

We hadn't been to this theater for many years, so we were glad to find that we still had a very good experience. Although I'm not reviewing the movie itself, I do want to mention that I had somehow never actually watched it before. I had seen many images and clips from the movie here and there over the years, but I had never sat down and watched the whole thing. We truly enjoyed Terminator 2. No wonder it is considered such an iconic movie, it is still a great movie by today's standards. The great sound and picture quality at this AMC really helped us enjoy the movie. I was especially pleased that the theater was clean, including the seats and trays. We were in Auditorium 5. The temperature was comfortable throughout the movie as well. The large "leather" seats were supposed to be comfortable, but unfortunately, the recline and footrest buttons on my seat did not work. My husband tried his, and both worked for him. The seats were also very large, but they had become somewhat sunken to one side, presumably from years of wear and tear, which made them less comfortable than they should have been. I tried several seats, and they all seemed to have the same issue. Since I was sitting between my husband and my daughter, I decided to just keep my original seat and tried not to let it bother me. We had already had pizza for dinner before the movie, so we didn't get anything from the concessions. Still, I was glad to see that the concession area was bustling around 6:45 pm. The washrooms were also quite clean around that time. Overall, we're glad to see that this AMC is still running well after so many years, although we're sad to see Northbrook Court slowly dying. Seeing a movie in a theater is such an enjoyable experience, and we hope people will continue to support movie theaters so that places like this can stay around for many more years.

The show was in theater number six which was a very nice size. The seats were super comfortable and reclined with a foot rest. Also, what I like about the seating here is that each row is very private, and I could barely see the people in the rows ahead of me. Plus there was plenty of room between my seat and the next ones over. The sound and picture quality were excellent! I am happy that this updated AMC theater remains even though the mall has been dead for years.
