I have to say I am pretty impressed with the food here. I've never heard of this place before until hubby told me it's a chain restaurant. I like the Latin twist to the typical diner. I did have the Menudo from the menu though it's not as good as the local Mexican restaurant by my house but it's OK. Everything else that came with. It was delicious and the service was acceptable. Price: $- $$ Quality: A Service: A

Great Mom and Pop... Nothing taste better then home cooked food. I had the beef vegetable and my friend had menudo. Best soup ever! Mexican and American food. Large Menu.... The restaurant and bathrooms are clean. Say hello to Suzie, Valerie and Teresa for me.

First thing: hands down, Cindy's makes the greatest salsa EVER! This unassuming spot is usually pretty busy, especially on a Saturday. It literally feels like home in there. It's clean and serves up the best comfort food. A restaurant serving American & Mexican dishes threw me off at first but it makes sense, especially for the area. It's a perfect combination of a typical American diner food and traditional Mexican dishes. Where else can you get good huevos rancheros and chicken fried steak and eggs?! Oh and did I mention free chips and salsa?! The parking lot here is super funky. It's right off golden state in a busy intersection so be careful! Overall, a must try for breakfast or lunch. Pro tip: you can order their delicious chips & salsa by the pound!!! It's always a hit at parties!

This place is def a local breakfast spot. You can tell by the customers who come, they have been coming for years. Anyhow, the food. The food is OK. Food comes out hot but I can definitely make a better breakfast at home. The salsa, it tastes like an el pato can. The biscuits and gravy, I've had better for sure. The sausage didn't look too appealing. They offer Mexican and American, but the Mexican is not authentic. If everything else around is closed and this is the only place open, then I would come back.

Yummy - A basket filled with crispy, golden tortilla chips lined with white paper, placed on a white plate. Next to the basket is a small bowl of red salsa with visible herbs and spices. Additional dishes are partially visible on the wooden table, including a bowl of soup or sauce in the background. The setting appears to be a casual dining environment.

So I have lived in Turlock since 2007. Driven by Cindy's many many times but never stopped here for breakfast. Why? That's a darn good question. The wife and I finally made the pit stop and let me just say, we were glad we did. We were seated in the outside dining since the restaurant was packed. It was morning time so the weather was perfect. I went with their special which consisted of two eggs, I picked two sausage links, potatoes and toast. The wife went with the breakfast enchiladas. They offer chips and salsa which were YUMMY. Warm corn tortilla chip but they felt as if they were flour chips. Weird but delicious. The salsa had a kick. The kind of kick where your mouth is burning but you can't stop eating it. Did I mention they serve Pepsi products? I love me some Diet Pepsi. The food came out fast and it was time to eat. My food was delicious. My wife liked her plate to. Her only complaint and I agree, leave the lettuce garnish off the plate. No one likes wilted lettuce. Talk about a great experience overall. The food was great, the staff was awesome. They always checked on us.

Again we are out and about... found this place open for breakfast. This place is clean.. staff is amazing and efficient..GREAT SERVICE you can see the crew in back working their magic... food was delicious, really love Huevos Rancheros If you're in town this is a MUST STOP!!

A plate features a cheeseburger with melted cheese and crispy bacon on a bun, accompanied by a portion of French fries. The plate also includes sliced tomato, red onion, lettuce, and pickles. A small container of dipping sauce is nearby, and the setting appears to be a casual dining restaurant with a wooden table.

This place has been in Turlock ever since I could remeber. It's a little Cafe with Mexican American selections .every time my husband and I come here it never disappoints! It's Always so so good ! We had bacon cheese burger and fries and chili Verde dinner. We came for lunch this time , but let me tell you their breakfast is also out of this world delicious . If your ever in turlock stop by this small family owned business you won't be sorry !

First of all, nice folks own this place. The service is wonderful! I have been going here for years and have never had a bad meal. My buddy had menudo and he loved it. His wife had huevos rancheros and she said they were very good. I had the basic eggs and hamburger patty. I asked for crispy hash browns and they actually made them crispy! Great breakfast for American and Mexican food!

I've known about Cindy's Restaurant for a while now and finally decided to try it out and check it off my list. It was amazing! My taste buds were in breakfast heaven!! I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with gravy, 2 eggs scrambled, country potatoes, and two pancakes. The restaurant was packed! Everyone was friendly. However, I almost left four stars instead of five because my server didn't check on me. I take everything into consideration though.

Chili, Verde, Mexican omelette - The image shows a white oval plate with Mexican cuisine, including seasoned rice, refried beans topped with melted cheese, a fresh salad with lettuce, tomato, and a dollop of sour cream. A small black bowl of salsa is placed at the top of the plate. The plate is on a wooden table with utensils and napkins nearby.

Shortly after, a group of about 8 ladies arrived and began talking a bit loudly while enjoying their lunch. It occurred to me that the design of the place enhances the sound (a lot of hard, flat surfaces) so for a quiet lunch, this may not be your place. After my associate arrived, we asked to move over by the wall behind the cash register. This worked fine until one of the employees propped open a door a few feet away, supposedly so another worker could carry in some supplies. I got up and closed it. The first one came back, looked at me and propped it open again, the other employee walked in with four gallons of liquid, leaving the door open, and the draft blowing. I got up and closed it again. For the rest of the time we were there, neither worker came back to pass through would have been an open door. My message, the management doesn't care about their customers (which seems to have been commented on by other reviewers). Fortunately, throughout the meal, our server was attentive, did a fine job of seeing to our needs, the food (we both had salads) were plentiful and tasty. We both remarked on the quality of the chicken, not dry, not tough, spot on. Overall, I probably won't return soon because there are so many other places left to try in the city and county first.

The interior has a nice, relaxed vibe with comfortable seating and a clean, inviting atmosphere. We started with the calamari and edamame. The calamari was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with just the right amount of seasoning. The edamame was lightly salted and had a wonderful flavor that made it easy to snack on while we waited for our main courses. I had the Korean stone bowl and was very impressed. The beef was tender, flavorful, and slightly sweet, and everything was served piping hot in a beautifully presented bowl. My husband had the salmon bowl and thought it was cooked perfectly with a nice balance of flavors. Another friend tried the coconut shrimp curry and said it was delicious, with a rich and slightly sweet coconut sauce that paired well with the shrimp. Overall, we were very happy with the food and the experience. The restaurant felt clean and well-maintained, and the staff made sure our meal went smoothly. The holiday drinks were just posted on social media two days prior and they were already unable to make one of the drinks. I've had the peppermint martini a few years ago, so went back to that. It was good, but I remember it being a little better before. Also, the presentation of drinks seems to change based on who is making them. Sometimes it's rimmed with peppermint, mine was on the side of the glass. Same issue as last time. The peppermint was too heavy and sliding down the glass, making the stem sticky when picked up. We shared several different sushi rolls. The rice seemed way over done. It was one mushy texture and the spicy tuna lacked spice. I ordered the salmon for my entree. Salmon was well cooked with a glaze and served with broccoli. First bite of broccoli tasted burnt, but luckily the rest was fine. We ordered all the desserts to sample and the best was the flourless chocolate cake and the cheesecake with the bananas. Our server was super sweet and always made sure we had what we needed.

Except for the flies that were bothersome during our meal. We ordered: Maple pecan latte - this had a nice autumn flavor, but I wished it wasn't so light/had more coffee flavor. Breakfast burrito with machaca - SO loved this and really enjoyed the flavor of the machaca. Also the burrito was hefty, the SO could only finish half. Chicken and waffles - this is only served on Saturdays I believe. Great texture to the cornmeal waffles and the chicken had a good crunchy exterior. I stole the SO's salsa to dip the chicken in. Service was fine - nothing too crazy. The black coffee we ordered had the same taste and consistency of the coffee leftover at the bottom of the carafe after a boring All-Hands meeting... it was definitely strong! Also I wasn't sure on the refill policy on the coffee since the one mug of it cost almost $5. Our total came to about $60, which in this economy is AIGHT I guess.
