Supposed to be carne asada plate with beans and rice.

I order by phone a carne asada player and instead they gave me this wow unprofessional employee don't listen to what we order it's the last time I will go there rather go to sizzler they do take my order correctly.

What I ordered vs what I got... big disappointment. I ordered the Birria-QuesaTaco--you know, the one described as "four crunchy tortilla tacos with melty cheese and tender birria meat." Sounds amazing, right? Unfortunately, what I got was the total opposite. There wasn't a single crunch in sight--just soggy, burnt cheese stuck to the tortilla. The meat was okay, but the presentation and texture ruined it. For $17, I expected something closer to the menu photo, not a greasy, floppy mess. If this is Memo Jr's favorite dish, I think Memo Jr needs a new favorite.

Food was decent. Service was great. We was greeted right away and taken to a table. Chips and dip came out almost immediately, they also provide refried beans for dipping ( unfortunately made with pork I was told, I dont eat pork). The salsa for dipping the chips was good, which is always a good sign. I got the birria tacos plate which was good but it only comes with 4 tacos that's why I ordered the taquitos to have alittle extra to eat since the birria tacos didnt come with any sides. The taquitos were not anything special an ok snack but not really worth the price of admission so to speak haha. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Over all decent place to eat, plenty of dinning room area, friendly staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Im a little harsher on stars for Mexican food because we have so many, so Im looking for ones that stand out one way or another.

Still think this place is the best Mexican restaurant in Turlock. Ended up going in with my wife after shopping. We sat in a booth at the bar and was waited on by Dulce. She is the BEST! My wife had the Chicken Fajitas which smelled and tasted delicious. I had Memo's Birria Quesa Tacos. Absolutely loved them. The cheese.....oh man, the cheese. Love that they bring plenty of salsa and bean dip. Always love eating there.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This Mexican themed restaurant has a great lobby and bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waiter Roberto gave us 5 star service. The best unique thing about this great restaurant is they give fresh refried beans with your chips and salsa. The Cadillac margaritas were very good for the price. The bests things on the menu was the mole dishes and the tres banditos entree. This comes with grilled chicken, skirt steak and garlic shrimp. It was fantastic and my new favorite. Roberto recommended it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We loved this cozy Mexican restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Way better than other table service places.

3 1/2 stars. I have been here numerous times over the years and their food has steadily gotten better. There was a time when I stopped visiting because there were many other better places in the area. My wife and son wanted to give it another try, so we made the trek. Sat in the bar area and our service was outstanding! Bean dip provided with chips and salsa was nice. I ordered the Los Tres Bandidos plate and it was excellent. My wife got the shrimp quesadilla. It came with a side of rice and beans, but the quesadilla itself was packed inside with lots bell peppers and onions. My son got his usual asada burrito. Overall, as mentioned prior, this place continues to be better than when it first opened. In my opinion, it still has a way to go to rank with the top Mexican restaurants in the area, but they are trending in the right direction.

This has always been our favorite Mexican restaurant. Tonight the food was cold and it took a long time to get our food.

Do they have live music like mariachi?

Occasionally a guitarist will come around. But not a band.

If disappointment had a flavor, it would be the fajitas at El Charro…read more I ordered fajitas expecting that classic sizzling, seasoned, mouthwatering experience. What I got instead was what I can only describe as lightly warmed, paper-thin sadness. The meat was dry, completely unseasoned, and so thin I'm pretty sure it qualified as deli meat. I've had better flavor from airport food... and that's saying something. No sizzle, no aroma, no personality. Just a plate that looked like it gave up halfway through cooking. Service? Let's just say it matched the food--uninspired and forgettable. The only positive is that this meal actually helped my diet because after a few bites I had zero desire to keep eating. So technically... thanks for that? Would I come back? Only if I needed a reminder of what fajitas are not supposed to be. 0/10 for flavor 10/10 for reinforcing my self-control

We also got a burrito that was gross it was burnt but didn't get a picture of that. Service sucked and food was disgusting. I will never go again. Just very disappointed since I was recommended that place by a friend.
