I had a gift card here so I gave it a try. Worst gel nail experience. He didn't bother soaking the existing gel polish off. We went straight in aggressively with the drill. When he couldn't get it off then he decided to soak my nails. Then we went in and drilled again to get the polish off. He destroyed my nail beds. I opted for the deluxe pedicure and regretted coming in the moment they started working on me. The salon was not well kept, tools did not appear to be sanitized between use, and it was a $20 up charge for gel polish. The deluxe pedi came with a paraffin wax which I as excited for as my hands are always dried out as an RN. The man brought me over to dip my hands and did not have me wash my hands before even after I asked if I could. Essentially, the paraffin wax was a huge breeding ground for bacteria. Within a week, three of the gel polishes came right off of my toenails when generally I get 6wks of wear. Would never return or recommend. read more

When I first went with my grandma, I got an ombre black and pink nails with the SNS powder. They were so beautiful but after 2 days they began breaking and by the 4th day which happened to be July 4th. All of my nails broke. So the first picture is the nails I got first. So I went back to get them redone. They said that the person who did my nails did the SNS made it too thin so the nails never harden. So I asked for a new set of nails and they gave me my original amount that my grandma paid for to go towards my new nails. I paid the remaining balance since I got a new nail design and I got gel instead of SNS. The nail technician who did my nails the second time, DID AMAZING! She took her time and really made me feel special. Walking me through the process and checking in on me. I appreciate that the salon worked with me and using the amount I previously paid for to go towards my new nail balance. So it depends on the nail technician you get but overall. My first mani/pedi in Rochester, and it was very underwhelming. My pedicure is horrible. Unfortunately, I didn't notice how bad it was until I left because the light was too dim for me to see the bumpy polish. I googled, and it said bumpy polish is usually a result of old or inferior quality. I even wondered it it was just my nails, but if so, why not buff them out? I've never had this happen on a pedi before, so I can't just chalk it up to my uggo toes. Also, an edge of my big toenail was so pointy it actually hurt when I was getting the massage. I was told that I had an ingrown mail, but that wasn't true. When I got home and examined, it just wasn't filed properly. Dip on nails is at least smooth and shiny. However, it is very thick, and nails are not the most flattering shape. I had wanted tips but I was told my nail beds were too big and tips would look huge. I've literally never had an issue before with tips in all my 30+ years of manicures. I just don't think he wanted to bother with it. Talking on the phone and coughing all over my hands. Dirty nail clippings on the hot towel, not mine. And the paper towel had spots of blood, presumably also from another client on it since I was not bleeding. Went in for a normal pedicure. Nothing out of the ordinary but also wanted a bit of pampering. I sat down as the soak tub was filling and I'm not sure why they bothered to fill it at all. I only put my feet in for a second to rinse when the technician barked at me to. The technician was so quick to get to work that there was no soak. My feet are now super rough since there was a quick scratch with the exfoliate and done. Not even a warm towel. Before I left the salon, I noticed the color was all over my fingers. I told the employee that it was messy and he said that it would come off. When I went home I tried to scrub it and it didn't work. A few hours later, the color already started to crack and chip. Mind you, I paid $65 for this complete mess. Had my nails done Friday June 4th. I decided to try a new place closer to my house. The man that did my nails shaped them poorly, seemed irritated, and painted them so badly that the gel bubbled and peeled off the next day. I get long acrylics regularly and have never been so upset with the outcome of my nails. The building is very nice inside and prices are a bit more so I was expecting a good outcome. Updating this review because I went back here to try it out and came out pissed off. 1. If you don't understand what I'm asking for, then ask for clarification or send me to someone else. I wanted my nails filed shorter, not for the technician to clip them so short that she just barely touched my skin. Not impressed and thank god my nails grow fast or I would of caused a scene. 2. Gel nails are $30. I paid $40 in cash and asked for change. $5 is what I got back. So, they tip themselves? Unacceptable. My technician handed me $5 back and then walked away to the back. Probably because she knew exactly what she was doing. If you want your nails done, don't come here. Very disrespectful group of workers who do not listen to customers and talk about you right in front of you. The last two visits were not a great experience. The guy that did my pedicure gave me the rush treatment. He was done with my pedicure in 40 mins and he was rough! I did not enjoy any of it . I have been going to this salon ever since it has opened. In the beginning the customer service was a 10. Always greeted with a smile and a complimentary hand, arm, and back massage with every manicure. They even bent over backwards to expand their powder dip inventory. However, fast forward 2 years, and the customer service has significantly declined. Every time I come out of there I am less than thrilled with the shape of my nails. When I finally spoke up I was told that the nail shape (that I already had) I requested (I found out it's called skinny coffin) is a $5 upcharge. That's on top of the already $5-10 (depending on service) increase in their prices over the last two months. The nail tech did a poor job with this nail shape. They no longer give the complimentary back massage and give a maybe 2 second hand massage. Finally after I paid and I gave a less than amazing tip, the girl questioned why so little. I'm rating 3 stars because not every employee is this rude and inept at their job. It is a very clean environment. However, it is upsetting how much their customer service has gone downhill in the past year. read more

The customer service here is terrible and everyone we interacted with was incredibly rude. I booked an appointment for 2 manicures for my mother and I as a holiday gift. When we got there, there were no 2 seats together so we politely asked if we should wait so that we could be seated next to each other. This was met with annoyed looks, but they ended up figuring out how to get 2 seats near each other. They then gave us the huge selection of colors, but proceeded to sit and stare at us until we selected. We were having trouble narrowing our options, so we asked the manicurists their opinions but they just looked at us and said "you choose." They made their impatience very clear, even though it cannot be expected for us to choose a color in just a few minutes when we are presented with well over 100 options. My mother's manicurist asked her a question and she kindly asked him to repeat it since she could not understand. He mumbled it once more and when she still looked confused, he looked at his coworkers and laughed at her. This was just the beginning. He continued to use a rude tone with her the entire time, while mine didn't speak to me once - even when he got up and left for a few minutes near the end of the manicure without explaining to me that it was not yet complete. Overall, the nails looked nice at the end but the customer service experience was horrible. We will not be returning. read more

Once again I only went because a friend wanted to. I said that four years ago and but gave it another shot today but never again! I asked for a regular manicure, the women goes gel? I said no I need to take a break my nails feel brittle. she seemed annoyed from the start. I sat down and asked her to do the same thing that I currently had on my nails, just a diagonal line with one color. The women goes just a french? I'm like no this isn't a french it's not the entire tip it's a line going from corner to corner. she said ok. She then said it will be extra I said ok (I'm thinking your only painting half my nail and I'm paying more?! but whatever I wanted what I wanted!) she gets my nails prepped and starts to file and I said can you do them more rounded? she told me it won't look good with horizontal line. again I don't argue and just go with the square shape When she was done filing I asked if I should pay now since I was getting regular polish. she said no. I was confused but let her go on with the cuticle cutting and what not. Then she stands up and rudely say pay now, like no problem! I tried to before! I paid and signed and she the women sat down and begins to paint my entire nail the one color. I said as nicely as I could, what about the horizontal line!? just half the nail please. The lady goes no I told you it was extra and I said I know and said okay! She did not seemed interested in making me happy what so ever and I was biting my tongue how annoyed I was! I've only ever had two pedicures in my life, and they both were here. The first time I did the basic hot stone pedicure, I think it was around $35. I cannot complain. The gentleman who did it did a decent job and the polish that time around lasted for over a month. My only critique is that the hot stone could have been a little bit longer. The second time around I had a woman, and she definitely spent more time on the leg/foot massage. I was there with a friend, and we were offered the "new spa package" or something like that. I believe that was around $50. I must have misunderstood what that meant because at the end of the pedicure, I was not expecting to be lead into a dark room and given a massage. I have never had a massage before, it's just not really my thing, but I paid for it so I went along. Maybe I'm a baby, or maybe just a massage newbie, but holy crap was that painful. I felt like I legitimately paid someone to beat me up. If you like a painful deep tissue experience, maybe try the spa package? Otherwise stay away. I will also say that the polish did not last as long this time, maybe a couple of weeks before it started to chip. Both times they did a very nice job of removing the dry dead skin from my feet, they certainly weren't shy about getting in there with the buffer, which I really appreciate. Overall, my opinion at this point is that this place is hit or miss, but the price is decent and as long as nobody beats me up again I'll probably keep going back. read more

I have been at this nail salon for around 8-9 times last year, and my experience was very good. However, this time, my experience was not great. We booked for an appointment for Sunday at 10 am, and arrived on time. The lady who did my friend's nail was quite nice and patient. My nail expert was an older male, and kept asking if I would like to upgrade for paraffin treatment. I speak mandarin and even then, I had trouble understanding him (he was speaking in mandarin). The cuticle removal and nail filing was painful, but he kept pulling my hand and repositioning it. They did not offer me any water (as they used to), and he didn't even bother cutting the cuticle properly after pushing them so hard. Before they applied the polish, they ask if I would settle the bill first. I was not impressed of their service but still gave them a 10% tip. He gave me back the credit card receipt and told me that I should pay for the tip for two people. (ie: I did not pay them enough tip!) I was so angry, and gave them $5 bucks more. I have never had someone being so impolite. Well, surely enough, the polish was poorly done. This picture is taken 5 hours after the appointment. This was an all around bad experience 1. The technician was a young man who spoke no English and just pushed my feet and hands where he wanted them and not nicely. 2. A little over priced, I was not offered anything to drink and got to watch a basketball game while I sat in a pretty unfriendly atmosphere. 3. Back massage was very rough and I have bruises from it. 4. My favorite is they do your feet first so when they start your hands they ask if you want to pay first and the attitude and quality is in direct relation to what type of tip they receive. I can not believe the rudeness of the manager at this business. I went in for a gel manicure. On the door they advertised for a champagne pedicure (of course not a manicure). I asked if I could purchase a glass of champagne at first it appeared the manicurist said yes then she seemed to ignore my request so I asked a second time. Someone went back to talk to the manager and I could hear her yelling but of course she wasn't speaking in English. I asked to speak to the manager and once again heard a lot of yelling but she never gave me the courtesy of coming out and talking about what I was requesting. It was clear that most of the technicians spoke limited English so I assumed her negative reaction was perhaps because she didn't understand I was offering to pay for a glass not that I expected anything for free. My manicurist did an okay job but never spoke to me or made eye contact and kept pushing my fingers down as if I was irritating her. At the end they gave a neck massage which is a nice touch but I had no idea what she was doing and I was wearing a down jacket which I would have taken off for the massage so I could feel it! This place is very pretty inside, appears clean and has a great gel dip powder color selection. Unfortunately, I have had similar experiences that many have recently mentioned in their reviews. They do not clean up your cuticles, they file your nails unevenly and are very rough when moving your fingers or repositioning your hand. This became very uncomfortable and Has happened to me at two separate visits by two different male nail techs. My friend had a women who was much more kind. I will not be returning due to the 'rough handling' and hopefully can find another salon with dip powder. That stuff is the best! read more

My most recent pedicure left my feet feeling just as dry and scratchy as when I came in. When I'm spending close to $100 for a pedicure and gel mani I expect quality that mirrors that. Took a chance even aft reading the bad reviews... DO NOT GO HERE. DO NOT TAKE THE CHANCE. I got dip nails for the first time here. They were super rough on my natural nails and used to carbide but on my natural nail. She cut me, asked if it hurt, when I said yes she said nothing. I asked to not take any length off and to keep the shape EXACTLY the same. She gave me square nails. Then when I said no, round like before, they were still square. Left with the product all under my nails I had to pick it out when I got home. They also didn't apply any cuticle oil so I left with crusty, dry fingers. On top of that paid $35 plus tip. Not worth it. Here's the worst part: It was 7pm when I left (nails took 1 hour). I was the last client in the salon. After I paid and was about to leave, they asked me if I wanted a FREE MASSAGE. I didn't think I heard correctly and repeated "a free massage?!" the woman said yes and pointed at her male colleague. She told me he would give me a free massage. I was terrified. But they make you think you have to choose from this other list which the pedicure is 35$. I did the mani, pedi. The manicure was awful. He didn't have to cut or file my nails.
