I've come in to get my nails done every so often for the past few years. I always have a good experience. The spot is not the most up to date in decor, but the quality of the polish for pedicures and manicures is always good (I've noticed other spots have bad polish since they focus so heavily on ANC). I've never had a bad experience here, but certainly some trips are better than others and it's best to go early or get an appointment. On my most recent visit, I had a pedicure and a ANC manicure. The pedicure was great! She matched my ANC color perfectly. They did want me to soak off my existing ANC, which was a bit uncomfortable in the pedicure chair, but only lasted so long and she was nice/helpful. This was my first time doing ANC here (I usually do polish) and the man who did them didn't have the best customer interaction. He kept moving my hands where he wanted them and I kept trying to help and put them where he wanted them... yet he seemed kind of annoyed, but I don't know what I could have done differently. I eventually kind of said, "I'm trying to help, just not sure what you need me to do." And he softened up a bit. The end product looks great! I actually prefer the end result it to the spot that did my manicure before - his seems smoother and not as chunky on top. I'll keep coming back. Especially for polish, as I don't know how long I can keep up the ANC. read more

Never again. Its been less than a week ive lost 3 nails, one nail somehow broke off the top. On top of that my nails are sticking out like a cat. I went back in over my nails floating and they dismissed me and told me it was my natural nails making it happen, i do struggle with picking at my nails but also get my nails done semi often and this has never happened to me. read more

I can't recommend and won't be back. I'll start by saying that Anna gives a great gel manicure. She's very meticulous and makes sure to cure the gel properly. Manicure lasted two weeks plus and still looked great. Had the manicure removed for surgery. Went back after surgery and Amy did my nails. Definitely a rush job and I knew I wasn't under the UV long enough. A day later, a nail peeled - layer of polish completely gone. I went back and she fixed it. Now it's 4 days later and two more nails are peeling. They're rough, they look ugly and it's annoying. I'm going elsewhere to get my nails redone and won't go back to Cinderella. Unfortunately I did not have a good experience here. I came here on 6/2/2020. My temperature was taken upon arrival which was greatly appreciated and I was taken almost immediately. Let's just say she cut my cuticle after being SO ROUGH. I have tough hands for me to say that says something. She took her mask off and started blowing on my finger that was bleeding. NOT OKAY DURING A PANDEMIC. Also, the lady who did my nails did not understand what I meant by square, or please make them more straight. She kept rounding the edges over and over again, and then making my nails super NARROW! It was super frustrating. I kept on asking, no please make them more straight, trying to make her understand what I meant and she would file them straight so lightly and then go super hard rounding them out. I will not be returning here. The young lady who completed my Mani/Pedi while nice was very rushed for whatever reason. I ended up with cuts on both my middle fingers even though I told her light filing. The right hand bleeding wasn't noticed until I was about to pay to which she said my purse cut me while I was reaching for my card. What??!!! Since when did my purse start cutting me?!! I actually said ouch! while she was on my toes cause she dug in deep a few times. I went to be pampered and relaxed but ended up more tense than when I walked in. She asked to give me a back massage which I politely declined because I didn't want her to touch me any sec more than necessary. Once she was done she asked if I wanted some lotion and I said yes, she haphazardly applied some lotion to half of my hand, I waited for her to be done and got some lotion to fully cover my hand to which she said very dry huh? I sighed and said yes... like duh?! Unbeknownst to me, they had started packing the gel color and regular color to match the toes. So when I saw her pull out the box for the gel, I reminded her I didn't want gel on my toes. The guy besides her said it was gel and it was just packaged together. Covid-19 review I did a gel mani and regular pedicure and it was probably the worst job I've had in a while. I was the first one there and got my pedicure done first she was soo HARSH when clipping my nails. She would wiggle the nail clipper blade under my nail it was not only scary but she hurt me a couple of times with this technique. My toe nail shape came out all types of crooked. She then did my gel mani and she definitely made my nails soo brittle bc she drilled way more than expected. 2 days later my thumb nail broke so bad it's still tender when I touch. (Its been 4 days) - In regards to the covid situation I wasn't asked anything ... no procedure prior to sitting. This place was super accommodating -- my mom and I showed up early for our appointments and they took us right when we got there. I got an acrylic fill-in with gel polish and my mom got a gel manicure. They took their time with the manicures and did a really nice job. The only thing I'd say is that my nails could have been shaped a bit more clean and symmetrical, but other than that it was a well job done. Also, they have a TON of gel color options. While they were very quick to accommodate me, my fingers soaked in the acetone for about 1.5 hours. ANC normally takes anywhere from 30-69 minutes I was in there for 2.5 hours. My nails did not last 5 days 2 are already broken and one is much longer than the rest. Normally I can go 3 weeks before having to get my nails redone. I got acrylic nails with gel and my nails were misshapen and that polish didn't even cover the whole nail. When I complained the man who did my nails tried to tell me it was my skin... When I asked for my money back because I needed to go somewhere else to get my nails fixed I was told to come back the next day when the owner was there. I came back. I really enjoyed this nail salon. Sam is the person who serviced me. I did arrive thirty minutes before closing but he did not rush. He did exceptionally well since my cuticles are dry and irritated from me biting them. Everything was sterile. The price wasn't too bad, I paid $30 for gel manicure. Terrible Experience. i went in to have a Pedicure. I put my feet in the tub and the man who was about to the pedicure started arguing with who i found out was the owner Cindy. I dont understand their language but they were both pointing at my legs. I asked what was going on .. he ignored me. So i said to Cindy please speak English because you're obviously talking about me. She denied that they were talking about me but were discussing the " steps that were to be done". i have lymphedema in my legs which causes swelling. Its upsetting enough that i have this but to have to deal with people pointing and not wanting you to know what their saying is too much. I should have gotten up and left. He obviously didn't want to do the pedicure. It was one of the worst ones i've ever had. He put 10 mins on the timer for the massage. And twice during this 10 mins he got up and walked over to clean up the tools and then even stopped again to empty and clean up my sink! i have no words. I was charged $40 to be upset and insulted. It was the most awkward and uncomfortable situation. Never in my life have i been treated this poorly. They should be ashamed. read more

I went a little over a week ago to get my nails done before a trip to L.A. It was my first time getting anything other than a basic manicure - I got ANC/dip ($45) with almond filed ($5) tips ($5) and 2 nails "custom painted" ($2). So from what I remember it was $57 total before tip. I brought a reference picture (last pic) and they matched it almost exactly (I opted to go for accent nails with the gold line, not all 10). A really nice man helped at the start as I described what I wanted and showed the picture. He started buffing and adding tips but after a couple tips I was switched over to Cindy. Both of these people were great for customer service but obviously since Cindy did the majority of my nails I thought she was FANTASTIC. Like I said I never had ANC or tips done before so not gonna lie it looked rough at the start and I asked Cindy if she thought one of the tips looked crooked. She said it wasn't crooked/a mistake and that it lined up with the direction my nail grew in, which I guess grows kind of to the side. But anyways as she kept going it was looking better and better. At the end I felt bad for questioning her and she did such a great job I gave her like a 22% tip I think. I also asked her how long she's been doing nails for before realizing it sounded like I was questioning her skill which was not my intention but anyways she's been doing it since she was a teen and has like 20+ years I think, and I believe her! 10/10 would recommend if you're looking for a high-quality manicure at a very fair price! Pricing is hard to find online but it's laid out very clearly on a big sign in the store. read more

I got the Lavender Pedicure. The gentleman doing it was sighing and seemed like he was disinterested in my enjoyment. His massage was half hearted. It actually hurt a few times as he stared off into space. I also got a Gel manicure. The gentleman doing it also seemed like he was rushing. My nails have large bumps. Think I will go back to my original place. At least they didn't push me out the door and the Gel manicure looks better. Also realized - pamphlet says Lavender Pedicure with Gel/ANC manicure is $60. I have been coming here for about 3 years or so. Cindy and her husband are the owners. Cindy regularly does my ANC manicures and does a great job, hence my continued patronage. I typically only get pedicures during the summer. I admittedly don't remember the names or the faces of the people who do my pedicure. I'm fairly particular about how my feet are done because there is a certain way I like two of my toes on each foot to be filed and cut. Usually, I have to show nail techs ( wherever I've gotten my nails done) how to do them. Back to Cindy....she has a pretty prickly personality, but like I said, she does good work, so I looked past that. I was always on the fence about whether she valued my business, but I decided not to think negatively and continued coming. Today, I had a mani pedi appointment. A tech (not Cindy) set up the pedi station while I went to the ladies room. The water was pretty tepid so I asked her to make it hotter. She took some water out and added the crystal gel. There wasn't enough water, so I asked her to add more. Cindy said no because it wouldn't get thick. I get this particular pedi every two weeks in the summer so I know what the gel supposed to look like. Sure enough there wasn't enough water and it became like jello. I asked for more water again. The tech added more water and then went to work on someone else. I got a 2nd tech. I tried to explain to this tech how to file and cut my two nails on each foot. Cindy snapped at me and said she didn't know English. It's no problem that she doesn't know English, but I still had to explain to her what I wanted. As this was happening, my hands were soaking to take off the ANC gel. I adjusted the container they were in, and some of the liquid spilled. Cindy yelled, "don't mess up my chair." I had to take a deep breath before I responded bc I was hot. I told her the following: she is to never yell at me; clearly she doesn't appreciate my business after me spending $40-$85 every two-three weeks for the past three years plus tips; I am a person of color, so I'd never take issue with someone who doesn't speak English; and she'll be getting no more of my business bc she doesn't know how to treat customers. Cindy responded back that no one can ever do my pedicure right and I should stick with one person. Fair enough on her end in regard to me sticking with one pedicure tech. That does not preclude her being polite though. I was going to walk out right then, but I tried to remain calm and think clearly. About 15 min later as the other techs finished with their customers, they all gathered around my station and pointed at my feet and were obviously speaking about what occurred in Mandarin. I don't speak their language, but I do know body language and facial expressions. I looked at Cindy and told her she had a ton of nerve; she should chill bc nail salons are a dime a dozen; I was trying not to cause a scene but her actions and those of the other workers was unacceptable; and she'd get no more of my business. My fingernails had finished soaking, so that was not an issue. Once the pedi was done, (not very well I might add), the tech tried to be nice, but the damage was done. She and another tech came over and tried to apologize. I used google translate to tell them thanks but no thanks; my issue wasn't with them; and Cindy had no business yelling at me. The other tech expressed that Cindy talks to her that way. I was still indifferent. Then they started pressuring me to pay. So that niceness was phony. In sum, Cindy does not respect her customers and is rude as hell. At best, she's got anger issues if she's yelling at her staff too. Beware with this woman. I'd rather search for a polite tech than give this business another dime of my money. Go where your business and your preferences, especially reasonable ones, are valued. read more

I moved to the area and had a hard time finding a new place to get my nails done. Through much trial and error, I found Cinderella Nails (I actually think it was recommended by a friend). Anyway, I love this shop. I got my nails done a handful of times thus far and the shop is always super clean. Cindy is the absolute best. I have had some issues with a couple of techs where they weren't able to shape my nails correctly (almond shape). The times that it has happened, Cindy came over and fixed it. Everyone is super friendly. I get a regular polish manicure. Depending on the tech, they have lasted an average 1-1.5 weeks. The shops loses a star based on the techs not being able to shape my nails correctly and at times my polish was chipping after 3-4 days. This is my go-to shop in the area and will continue to get my nails done here. read more

I've been going to Cinderella Nails for years and always had a great experience with my nails. Cindy the owner,always did a fabulous job and my ANC always lasted 3 weeks. When they reopened after the pandemic, I noticed that the quality of the ANC decreased, but I continued going to Cindy because she shared her business wasn't doing well and I wanted to support her. She was always kind and accommodating. My last appointment with her, I ended up leaving because she was so rude. The appointment I had with her was rescheduled due to a snow storm. I asked to come in at 11:30, she wanted me to come in at noon, so that's what we agreed to. I arrived to the appointment a few minutes early, and was taking a phone call in my vehicle, she came out to the parking lot, and knocked on my car door. I told her that I would be in after my call. When I came into the salon at 11:55AM, she was with a customer, didn't say anything to me and I waited 15 minutes before I asked to soak off my ANC. At 12:30 she came up to me and said she was going to do another customers nails, before starting mine- so at this point I've been waiting 30 minutes for a 12:00pm appointment. I told her that I was upset about this and she starting yelling at me that I made a 11:30 appointment with her and she grabbed her appointment book and starting pointing at it. I told her that I had text messages between the two of us that showed she wanted me to come in at 12 and i said that I won't get my nails done and left. This clearly was a miscommunication between the two of us, but how she handled herself as a business owner was unacceptable. There are so many nail salons in the Latham area that it's not worth being disrespected over a confusion of a nail appointment time! This happened in March and since then I've been going to Vivi Nails- appointments are started on time, I'm in and out quickly, and the quality of my ANC is great. read more

At the recommendation of a co-worker and quite a number of positive reviews I went to Cinderella for a pedicure before my birthday night out. BIG MISTAKE! When I sat down in the chair I made it a point to say "please don't cut them short I like my nails a little long". I have short nail beds so when my toe nails are cut so there's no white they look stubby and terrible. She proceeds to cut my nails... with a cuticle cutter... to eliminate all the white. When I told her to stop, she did and apologized but then left them and didn't even file to make them look somewhat decent (on either foot). The paraffin was she used on my feet burned me and I had to ask her to stop that also. I paid $70 with a tip and the only good thing about the experience was the foot massage. I am so disappointed with with job they did on my nails. I have more hang nails than I started with, and I have cuts on 3 of my fingers from the nail drill. Additionally the color was so light that it didn't even cover the white on my nails. I wish she would have asked if I liked it before she continued to finish. I usually get my nails done at premium Japanese and Korean nail spas in manhattan- but needed a mani while in town visiting family and am glad I stopped into Cinderella nail. Cindy, my nail technician, was attentive to detail, gentle in the removal process of the gel I came in with- to protect my nails, and did a perfect job with my manicure. Joe was jovial and hospitable, taking some time to chat with each person in the salon. They are a brand new salon, so everything inside is brand spanking new- they have really cool built in gel curing lamps into each nail desk and have a really comfortable and spacious salon. I decided to come here on a whim because I was in the area and had time to kill. The salon is very clean and the staff is very kind. I had ANC French manicure and a spa pedicure done. I was so pleasantly surprised. My nail technician took her time and paid attention to detail. Came here because of the positive reviews. Showed up on time for my appointment. While they sat me down at one of the nail station, they didn't start working on me immediately. I had gel on my nails and wanted to get regular polish. I was informed that It would cost extra $5 for the gel removal. Why is it extra if I'm getting a nail service? Other salons I've been to don't charge to remove gel as long as you're getting your nails done. Also, the guy seemed disappointed when I told him that I wanted regular polish, not gel. Usually they soak it off some then use the tool to get the rest off. However this time, someone checked my nails then put them back in the solution to get the color off and went to work on someone else. This happened twice before someone actually came to help me. I waited over 20 minutes before someone came to work on my nails. The manicure I got was rushed and not done well. After a day, my nails are already chipping and the polish was all bubbly. Best foot/calve massage, excellent service, exceeded expectations!!

I have been here twice. Both times I felt they did a great job. Nice spot, clean, professional, and prices are reasonable.

Myself and my two daughters have been going to this nail salon since it's opening. Up til today I have had no complaints. However, my daughter and I went in to have our ANC removed and a pedicure and what ensued was despicable! In the middle of us being there, my nail tech and my daughter's nail tech broke out in a turbulent argument. I mean they actually left our stations and got in each other's faces. The manager, Cindy, sat there for most of the argument and did absolutely nothing!!! This went on for quite some time. After the argument/fight finally ended, I was left to sit there with no one helping me. I was still waiting to have my nails done. Meanwhile they assisted other customers. I finally spoke out and asked if anyone was going to do my nails. My daughter was almost finished and she had an appointment at 3 which left us no time for lunch and we should have had plenty of time!! Furthermore, no one apologized except the gentleman who did my nails who was extremely polite. All the manager, Cindy, did was offer me a $5 credit for the removal of the ANC. That was after I questioned the pricing! This is how you treat loyal customers??? It was a major inconvenience for both myself and my daughter and it wasn't a very relaxing experience at all, especially for my daughter who suffers anxiety!! Rest assured I am finding a new nail salon. They don't deserve my money! Cindy is a terrible manager to have let that go on for as long as she did.
