My husband and I stopped in for a recent weekday lunch thanks to a $20 groupon we had. It wasn't too busy, service was spot on and we were actually able to get in and out in just under an hour. The lunch menu includes a mix Mexican and Thai options (the Thai is a carryover from the former Siam Thai restaurant). Prices are very reasonable - if we hadn't ordered an app, we wouldn't have used the full Groupon value. We couldn't resist the guacamole as a starter and it didn't disappoint. The only downside was that the chips were a little greasy. I ordered the Mexican quesadilla with chicken, cheese and fresh jalapeños - the perfect amount of spice. It was served with a side of guac, rice and beans. My husband gladly helped me out with the beans and said they were great. My husband opted for one of the burritos with steak and chorizo which he loved. Our waitress was great - drink refills without asking and checking in at the perfect times. We had a great time before a show at Morris Civic around the corner. It was a busy night, with a bit of a wait, but was worth it. Two of my favorite types of food - Mexican and Thai - which seems like an odd mix, but if you think about, both are based on unique flavors and they have a lot of it. Their salsa is great, the sauces with the Thai food were excellent and their specialty margaritas were really good. There is something for everyone on the menu. Came here for lunch today. It's a fusion of... Mexican, American, and Thai! The Thai place that was nearby closed so the chef came to work here and now you have it! The service was quick and polite. The host greeted the moment we stepped in. I ordered the pad see ewe and it had really good flavor but the noodle were kind of hard which means it's not the freshest as normally those noodles get hard if it's been sitting a few days. I'll definitely try the pad Thai if we come back. The boyfriend got a Chicken quesadilla with beans and rice and it was good. We got 10% off when we showed the yelp check in though the server didn't know what it was and went to ask. Nice place to grab lunch and catch up. You'd think, with a name like Cinco, it would be a Mexican restaurant, and it is, but they also have Chinese, Italian, Curry and Thai food. It's like Cheesecake Factory with multiple cuisines. We love to come here because I can get some tacos and the fiancé can get some sort of spicy asian noodle concoction. As others have said it has a very eclectic menu. My dinner consisted of Thai tea, eggrolls and fried tamales. They were all good and it made for a seriously nice dinner. The eggrolls were honestly some of the best I've ever had. The Thai tea was very good also. The fried tamales were good tamales but I think the fried part made very little difference. But if you're in the mood for tamales they are worth getting. Would definitely recommend trying this place out. Next time in town I'm in town I will certainly eat here. read more

I loved that I could order Veggie tacos, which were delicious a la Mexicana (the real way to eat tacos: corn tortillas, onion, extra cilantro and lime juice please!) The crispy spinach was a pleasant surprise, but it is slightly oily, delicious nonetheless. Loved their salsa and pico de gallo too. Their sangria wasn't what I'm used to, but it wasn't terrible. My husband and I each had a Thai entree, I had the pad Thai and it was amazing. ***pro tip*** they'll ask you if you want it spicy and you choose between a 1 and 5 spicy rating. Found this restaurant just walking around downtown and we found this gem. This restaurant was a little unassuming at first but once my family and I sat down we were greeted with fast friendly service. The food was wonderful I truly recommend the fried tamales. I think this is a great option if you are looking for something casual and relatively fast that is not your typical Michiana chain restaurant. They have quite a diverse menu with everything from Mexicali to Vietnamese. Chips and salsa on the table, you might think Mexican, and if that's what you want, no problem. We opted for more Asian option. I had the drunken noodles with chicken and my wife had the pad Thai with shrimp. We both agreed that my dish was the winner of the two though both were highly edible. We ordered carry out today. Got the chicken pad Thai and the a beef burrito. The pad Thai was interesting - it did not taste like the typical pad Thai. The taste is a bit hard to describe, it wasn't bad but it wasn't my favorite for sure. The chicken was cooked well, and the tofu pieces in it were also good. There was barely any noodle and for the price the size was small. For a good pad Thai (and a little cheaper) downtown I highly recommend Cambodian Thai. I really didn't like my food. The service was fine but I just didn't like my food. So maybe my first mistake was ordering pad Thai at a place called Cinco 5. It had a weird earthy after taste. The chicken was cooked okay but the tofu was rubbery. I always think pad Thai is safe but this is my least favorite pad Thai I've had.
