He paid attention to every detail, while being personable, funny and added to the Vibe! If he chooses to stay in the Food Services industry, his attitude and deft skills will take him far! Cielo is fairly new and chic but not pretentious. Good for family celebrations, date nights without pressure, and overall, great vibes. An In-house DJ and Live music, especially for weekends, would take it up another level and solidify it as a Charleston destination MUST! ALL of our food was fantastic. Most of the table had the Texas Rice Bowls but make sure you get the luscious cheese sauce on the side so your rice isn't clumpy. It'll still be delish but texturally off-putting. It comes with the standard three (3) choices of protein: Chicken, beef, shrimp, or you can elect to have one (1) or none. The Ancho Caesar Salad was a filling, savory and healthy choice to start, FULL of flavor! We also had the Carne Asada, which came with grilled Nopales and fried Cheese. ALL divine! Burritos are humongous! Wear your loose-fitters! Tacos come in threes (3s) but are the smaller hand-held. You may need 2 orders, depending on your appetite. Table Appetizers were the Sampler of Dips (Bean, Cheese, Guac). All good but should've been made to order. Freshly made chips would go a long way, too. Portions are leaner with some dishes so be mindful. If you eat nothing, COME for THE DRINKS, THE DRINKS, THE DRINKS! Large, DELISH & gets you RIGHT for the night...or day! We had Blueberry & Strawberry Margs all night. Definitely returning solo or with family and friends but a return is guaranteed! Ask for Tee F to make it a phenomenal visit!

We were seated in a comfortable booth and were greeted by our server, Bryan, who was friendly, personable, and attentive from the moment we arrived. I ordered the Tamarind & Ancho-Glazed Salmon, which Bryan highly recommended, and I'm glad I took his advice--it was absolutely delicious. My wife ordered the Carne Asada Tacos and thoroughly enjoyed them as well. To drink, my wife had a glass of wine while I tried the Mexican Old Fashioned. Bryan actually crafted the cocktail himself, and it was excellent. We wrapped up the evening with a frosty margarita for dessert, which was the perfect ending to a great meal. While the food and drinks were outstanding, what truly made the evening memorable was Bryan. His exceptional service made our anniversary dinner feel genuinely special. The atmosphere at Cielo is equally impressive. The décor, lighting, and beautiful bar create an upscale, energetic vibe that reminded us of a high-end Las Vegas restaurant. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

The place looks like an older restaurant with the hole in a wall feel. The food is actually cooked in the food truck out front of the building with probably a dozen or so tables inside. My wife and I visited this place for lunch on a weekend when I took the day off. It was one of my saved Yelp spots to try. We were not disappointed and the overall experience was okay. I ordered a sandwich, taco and a nacho. My wife ordered a few tacos and a torta. The tortillas were not homemade and the nachos seemed like it was made by not fresh ingredients but packaged ingredients (cheese, meat, chips). As far as drinks, we ordered the horchata which was on the sweeter side and mediocre. As far as service, they were all friendly and nice. No issues on that front. If your looking for a casual same friendly environment with okay Mexican food, this is your place.

The service starts with their chips and salsa, and I just find them to be the best. The chips are slightly thicker but crunchy, with perfect amount of salt. Then the salsa is fresh and tasty. This visit we ordered street tacos with carnitas to start. These were excellent, the meat tender and small bits of pineapple added a bit of sweetness. Then we had tamales, enchiladas and chilaquiles. The tamales were also excellent, they were rolled masa with chicken, and were a good choice. We find Carmen & Juan to be the simple straightforward local Mexican restaurant, and keep returning to enjoy.

Los Parados reminds me of the neighborhood Burrito shop I frequented in San Diego. I was craving a Carne Asada Burrito and they had just the item I was looking for. It was a bit simpler than I was used to but had the normal staples - seasoned diced beef, beans and cheese. They gave us two sauces a green and red. The green tomatillo sauce was in the medium range and was perfect. The red was a little to hot for my taste. The burrito was awesome and truly satisfied my burrito craving. Next time I am going to see if I can add guacamole and fresh salsa. That would be perfect and would be as close to a CA Burrito as you could get in the Low Country! Looking forward to my next visit!!!

Was hoping to really be impressed but honestly a few things made our experience mediocre. First thing was the food looked better than it tasted. We ordered 3 al pastor tacos as they come, and the meat was tougher than expected, like it was recooked too many times or sitting down for a bit. The flavor was okay, was hoping for pieces of pineapple like other authentic taco joints but there were none, or not really any semblance of pineapple at all unfortunately. The size of tacos were good, and they were double wrapped. My husband ordered their cali burrito. It was a good size, he was only able to eat half. He did note it had almost too much fries in it and wished it had more meat. He rated it 7/10 due to fries to meat ratio. We also ordered a size of rice and beans and it was a good size for being a side. We were unfortunately disappointed with the beans, they were wayyyy too salty Like we couldn't even mix it with the rice to balance out the saltiness, it was overly salted. The rice was great, just sad about the refried black beans. Overall a decent experience, we'd eat here again but try different items. Maybe it was an off day cuz we ate around 6:30pm.
