Brent came to our house and was extremely knowledgeable and well-spoken when dealing with customers. He let us know clearly in an easy to understand manner how exactly he would fix our problem. Since we met with 4 other companies, I feel like I can say this with conviction. I cannot emphasize enough just how professional & respectful the crew was and left out basement without a sign of them being there, except for the fixed situation of course. These men were at our house in the cold of winter including one day which was below freezing. By laying plastic down on our floors, they were able to keep the dirt out and one day they literally had to heat up the rock before putting it down because it was that cold out. They did this to meet a deadline to us and we really appreciated them. They are the epitome of what customer service should be. We've had big rains since then, so we are confident that our complete needs were met. I have highly recommended them to friends. So far two friends have also used them and are as happy with their work and work ethic as we are. I will continue to recommend them to anybody who has waterproofing needs. You will never be disappointed!

Aqua-Proof has fixed 2 separate issues at my home and has completed work successfully for others in my neighborhood. Danny and his crew are true professionals who listen to your problems and make every effort to solve those issues quickly, efficiently and as economically as possible. I would highly recommend Aqua-Proof to solve your water problems.

The seller of our home said the basement saw some "moisture" during large rain events, but we came…read moreto find out that meant pooling of water consistently in our basement when it rained a decent amount. I called several places to get quotes on what to do, and only two got back to me, with one doing a very quick visit without much explanation and seemed uninterested in our needs, while the other - Healthy Basement Concepts - was great at communicating with me. This was a sign of consistently top-notch service to come. Jason, the owner, is the one who returned my calls and came over to step us through a quote. I say "step us through" because he thoroughly went through not just his approach to waterproofing, but how drainage works and how our home is setup. And he did it in a very understandable, transparent way. He has a ton of experience in the industry and with now having his own business, he offers the best solution, one he guarantees with a lifetime warranty that has few exceptions, if any, that is transferable for the lifetime of the home (I know, I actually read much of the contract language). He'll admit he's not the cheapest option, but he's not the most expensive and he absolutely guarantees his team's work. Speaking of his team, he has an incredibly hard-working team that was super respectful of our home to the point that we wished they did other home projects and that other contractors were like them. They worked so hard that we almost thought they worked too fast, but it was just that they knew what they were doing so well. We couldn't speak more highly of Jason and his team. He worked with us through several questions we had and really earned our trust, which is hard to do after we've been burned by other contractors in the past. He has honestly gone above and beyond in several ways. And he absolutely delivers on his lifetime warranty, as he's come by to do some post-work sealant to eliminate some moisture in spots because our floor is so thin. And he's been great in texting with us when we've had questions afterward, including when we've had other companies in our basement working on other projects that we worried would conflict with his work. We've been through the thick of spring and his system has performed fantastically. If you want a surefire waterproofing company with an ironclad lifetime warranty who wants a relationship with you rather than a credit card payment, look no further. Jason and his team at Healthy Basement Concepts are who you need to call.

This year's rain resulted in two instances of our basement having about an inch of standing water…read more Given that we have a finished basement, we can't take the chance for any mold growing sight unseen behind the drywall. So we called several contractors to come in to take a look and give us project proposals along with estimates. One contractor proposed to tear down roughly four feet of drywall and open our concrete basement floor to expose the footer and install a system that channels water seeping through wall cracks and rising from below to a sump pump for evacuating outside with a cost of $8700 with no drywall repair. Another simply asked for us to wait and see the next time water comes in to take a video so he can see exactly what to do. Another contractor proposed some regrading and installing two window wells with drains, costing $6700. Yet another refused to come unless both me and my wife are present (tragic policy). Jason from HBC came, looked over everything in great detail both inside and outside, and sent me a detailed proposal with a list of waterproofing "options" that I can select a la carte. Based on his proposal, prices, and available discount for being an Angieslist member, the final price was around $8900 that includes both an interior full perimeter drainage system and exterior grading along with downspout extension. To us, Jason's proposal combined the best of all options we were looking for. The best part of his proposal is that he didn't need to tear down our drywall. Jason is both the owner and the foreman of HBC. It is apparent that he is very good at what he does. On the first day, he and his associate spent several hours just to cover our basement belongings in plastic to control dust. Jason did the jackhammering himself to open our basement floor. When there was something in the way that really shouldn't be moved (i.e., a hot water tank), he hand dug a tunnel under the surface concrete. In all, the interior portion of the project took 3 full days, during which he was personally present to do most of the technical and hard work himself. The 4th day comprised exterior grading, downspout extension, two simple window wells, and general clean-up. His team wiped down everything in detail, including the walls. Jason even gone above and beyond what our original contract stated by putting up finishing wall covers in areas he suspects of potential leakage so that any water comes through gets directly channeled to the drainage system. He also tore out the old pipes of our sump pump, which looked like a DIY setup, replaced them with a setup that looks far more professional and orderly along with a dual sump pit system while using our original equipment. All in all, Jason Fry and Healthy Basement Concepts provide a great service, expert installation, at exceptionally reasonable prices. He is also just generally a very nice guy and works very hard to make sure that every project is being done as though it's for his own house. If you're going to spend close to $10,000 on a major basement project, trust Jason and his team to get the best quality and value.
