Well the price is doubled the service worse. I only had three things hooked to it one being a TV that's already ever on the other two cell phones and when I do turn the TV on it'll say not connected. Why I'm supposed to have a good plan? My cell phone it'll sit there and try to download pictures for like I don't know. I also have their service too so you would think you know either. I mean I thought I was getting a good value when I signed up but I should have known better cuz they screwed everything up from the very beginning. Is that my phone to the wrong address and then when I had to redo it all over again they said and they changed the deal that the promotion that I signed up on so I got a different a worse deal signing up for their cell phones. I went there today to discuss my bill and what I was getting with the package I have. The bills are difficult to understand what each service costs. The rep , TJ , agreed it was arcane but by the end, he had increased my service, doubled my fioptics speed to 500mbps and offered to send a tech to my house to switch out the router and check for dead spots, then install boosters for no monthly charge. I plan to see how the new speed helps and get the additional equipment. They used to charge for boosters but no longer which is smart. I'm very tech savvy and have been a customer for many years. I think they are far superior to Spectrum and trust that now they've been acquired by Brookfield Infrastructure (no clue who that is) that the local customer service won't be impacted. BTW, this package is only good until next January, at which time they undoubtedly will jack the price but I plan to have Plan B in place. read more

1. the internet goes out randomly and everything must be unplugged and rebooted. This has been occurring since day one. 2. After the one year of service at $29.00 they increased my rate by $23.00 (53.00 per month now! Even though they offer the same service to new customers for $39.99. 3. If you pay your bill online, you are automatically set up for e-billing, which I was an was completely unaware of until I received a notice in the mail three months later with all of the late fees and rate hikes. I called and was on the phone for long periods of time trying to get this resolved and even though I had given them my cell number twice and asked them to call back if disconnected, no one did either time. The last time, I was on the phone for over an hour and still this was not resolved. 4. They hire offshore for customer service representatives. 5. Even though they set me up for auto billing without me realizing it, they will not adjust late charges or the rate hikes even though I have never missed a payment over the many years I have used Cincinnati Bell in the past (at least 20 years)! I've been informed that since we cancelled in the middle of a billing cycle, 3 days in I might add, that we are responsible for the entire month. I used Cincinnati Bell for one year before deciding that it was not a good service. Amazingly slow. Before the next billing cycle I cancelled my service by telephone. I asked the man on the phone if my service was cancelled and he said that it was. He told me I had two weeks to return the modem. I waited until the following Monday to return the modem. I put my information in the bag to make sure that I would get credited. March 25, the day I returned the modern, was two days into the next billing cycle and that is the date Cincinnati Bell actually used for cancelling my service. I was already using another provider by this time. The bottom line was that I had to pay the whole month. They wouldn't even prorate the bill for two days. Thought I would sign up for Cincinnati Bell's internet service. I called to order, but they were going to force me to rent a modem which made it as expensive as Time Warner. Finally, the order girl relented and said I could use my modem. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM! So, I have to wait a month for my installation appointment on a Thursday. They don't call you the day before with a delivery window. No, they expect you to be home ALL DAY and they'll call an hour before they arrive. Since I have a job, the appointment surprisingly gets scheduled for the next Saturday. The installer arrives and the FIRST thing I do is clarify that I am not renting a modem from them. Oh, you have to, he says. It won't work any other way. I sent him in his way. She relented on the phone with the hope that I would just rent their equipment once they were here to install. If there's a Cincinnati Bell operator out there who will testify to such a practice, get in touch!! I have an interesting proposal for YOU!!! read more

If there is anything you take from this review it needs to be run the other direction. If you like cable, if you like to watch anything but gray screens PLEASE do not get Cincinnati bell. Not only is it hands down the worst cable provider I have ever dealt with the services are almost as horrible. I would venture to say they might be just as bad. Not only do half of our channels show up but we have had two technicians reschedule due to 'unforeseen circumstances'. Cincinnati Bell used to provide 5-star service, but they've over-complicated things ever since they got their fancy J.D. Powers superior rating and service has gone downhill. Now, I can count on having to be on the phone way too long to get an issue resolved, or at least addressed. (It used to be resolved, 100% of the time; now it's 50/50). That said, I've recently been forced to branch out and use different wireless carriers in different states and must say I still hold Cincinnati Bell as a standard. They are the provider for AT&T service, and while the service was a-ok, I was always willing to compromise because Cincy Bell has great prices, great plans, and no contracts. 'Nuf said. I recommend anyone who lives within the reaches of Cincinnati Bell service to consider their plans before checking with any other carrier. I haven't had to deal with Verizon or Sprint on the same level as I have with Cincinnat Bell, but I've heard nightmare stories of their customer service departments, so maybe these companies just have a lot of work to do in that department, or think they can get away with it, the bigger they get. I have had Fioptics by Cincinnati Bell for 5 years. This company is a classic bait and switch company. They offer you a competitive new customer rate and then, 6 months later, your bill doubles. You then call, talk to someone who can barely speak English, and get the bill down. But, the lower bill won't kick in for another billing cycle. So, you pay the double rate for two months. Six months ago, I decided to stop TV altogether. They never removed TV from my profile and, bingo, 6 months later, my bill doubled. It took two guys who couldn't speak good English, at a half hour each, to tell me that they didn't cancel TV because my call 6 months ago was "disconnected" and they couldn't do a final confirmation. So, I demanded TV be removed and, coincidently, the second man hung up on me. So, I emailed the company, two weeks ago now, saying their employee hung up on me. I have received no response. I know that the cable industry is an oligopoly around Cincinnati, but, I would really try to find a company that is at least honest. read more

I had a great experience with Cincinnati Bell for cable and ISP so when it was time for a new cell phone I switched over to Cin Bell Wireless. This was a HUGE mistake!!! The customer service is a tragedy! I bundled my services to take advantage of the available discounts and for some reason their system and personnel are completely incapable of accomplishing this task. It took six months of adjustments before my bill ever came out right the first time and even then it would not stay consistent and I was back on the phone with them on a monthly basis. When it came time to switch away from them, needless to say I jumped at the opportunity. I got from Cincinnati Bell the basic TV cable channels and on the phone they told me I'm gonna have 28 channels, but i end up with only 7 channels and most of 'em are boring. Been stuck with 5/1 for years. The connection cuts out multiple times a day (and down time can last anywhere between an hour to a few minutes). After finally getting a fiber optics option, months have gone by since the day it was supposed to be installed, the connection seems somehow worse, no fiber optic cables are installed, and different trucks show up weekly and say they cannot do their job until someone else does something first. In the past you could talk with someone over the phone and get your questions answered. No sales pitches about upgrading, no delays in getting a call back or just getting a real person on the phone. The internet service provided by this company has not been working (not even 0.4 to 0.04Mbps). I called several time to let them know and finally today I called customer service for a refund and I think I got the rudest customer service people ever. I even asked to talk to the supervisor who turned out to be the worse supervisor of customer service. After arguing and discussions on the phone and her refusal to do anything, I asked her to give me the name of her boss or supervisor since she would in no way honor or respect my request, she said she has no boss and she is the supervisor and boss. I kept asking her repeatedly who she reports to and she kept saying she reports to no one and she makes the decisions in customer service. I told her that I know that customer service reports to someone and she kept insisting that she reports to no one. So I said that means you are the CEO of Cincinnati Bell! of course she had no answer. I think this company couldn't provide the service they promised and they refused to provide me with a credit or a refund. They offered to give me $1.89 credit. Is this a joke or what! I call it degrading to the customer who is not receiving any service. Especially when the technician reported that there were over load on the circuit I am on. The supervisor said this is when you go to the highway and there is traffic. I said that is true but at least when there is issue they build more lanes! I have been a Cincinnati Bell Customer for over 30 years, and I was the first person on Salem Road in Anderson to subscribe to their Fioptics Internet service. I have been more than happy with that service until now. I decided to drop my landline service and have the number ported to Ooma. I initiated the port and contacted Cincinnati Bell about this. The port only took two days, however Cincinnati Bell cancelled my whole service and account. No internet. I called customer service and was told if I cancelled the port they could get it turned back on. Since I wanted the land line switched to Ooma I did not cancel the port. I asked to get the Internet turned back on, they told me I had to wait 3 weeks for a technician to install it at my house. I already have it installed and all the equipment, it wasn't removed, I just want them to flip the switch back on. They scheduled the install 3 weeks out at this point. I then drove to the Kenwood store to try to expedite this "install" with them. Again told that this was not possible. Its like I'm being punished for having the audacity to drop my landline. I told the service rep on the phone and at Kenwood that I would contact Time Warner and whomever installed first would get my business, neither of the techs cared. So I contacted Time Warner and they are coming out in two days to install internet. All of the Customer Support reps were polite but they don't seem to care. The issue I'm having is not technical, its policy based. No one needs to come to my home to turn it back on, but even if they did Cincinnati Bell is in front of my house daily as the Fioptics Box for the entire neighborhood is 25Ft from my front door.
