Another great restaurant in the Pueblo Bonito line up. Spectacular views! We were lucky enough to eat here twice. We took the shuttle from sunset beach and spent the afternoon at Rose. After swimming in the pool and ocean we got ourselves a table at Cilantros for an early lunch. They open a little later than they should. I would like to eat early breakfast here. The food was good not great. Frozen drinks were perfect. It's all worth it for the view of the Arch while the sun and breeze sweep in with the sound of waves. read more

Foods!!! Thumbs up!!! This is one of the perks of staying at an all-inclusive resort at Peublo Bonito Resorts Golf and Spa. Cilantro's located at Pueblo Bonito Blanco. You must make a reservation, no walk-ins. We did 8:30pm, and we were lucky that the nearby resort had fireworks. It was a lovely dinner. The place is clean and sophisticated. After swimming the warm tropical waters of the Sea of Cortez, we hungered for some nachos, chips & salsa and freshly grilled shrimp that replenished our burned calories at Cilantro's Beachfront Cuisine. The service provided to us by Ricardo, Gaby and Bernabe was overwhelmingly terrific! We just wanted a quick bite, but ended up staying for over an hour chatting with the amazing crew! They were quick to serve us while we soak in the Mexican Riviera vibes on this beautiful Tuesday afternoon! Cilantro's will always be one of our favorite places to eat in Cabo. Every time we come to Cabo, Cilantros is at the top of our list....and for good reason. We've been here 4-5 times now, and it just keeps getting better. The oceanfront view is stunning, especially at sunset. It adds such a relaxing, beautiful atmosphere to the meal. The food is next-level. Favorites include the Crab Cakes, Stuffed Chili California Style, the creamy Clam Soup, and their Any Style Shrimp Main Course. Everything is so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The wine selection is also great and pairs beautifully with the menu. Shoutout to Raul, our server. He was absolutely wonderful. This was one of the restaurants at Puerto Bonito Blanco, a sister resort right next door...so we checked them out. To start on a positive note, their patio scene was LUSH! Possibly one of the best view of the Medano Beach on the strip. Sadly, their foods were very disappointing. First I tried their seafood chowder, and it was very mediocre in both taste and presentation. Also, I ordered their Cilanto's Chicken, and they brought it out to me without the potatoes...an item that was clearly listed on the menu! I tried to get the waiter's attention for 10 minutes, but he simply would not give eye contact. It was somewhat funny...in that he walked back and forth like 5-6 times, yet never looking in our direction. So after a good 10 minutes, I managed to WAVE to get his attention...then brought up the lack of potatoes to my main dish. As it goes, he returned 5 minutes later with a plastic carton, with a scoop of potatoes in it...without an apology, or anything. OMG?!? BTW, the Cilanto's Chicken was completely bland...flavorless. My husband tried their Caesar Salad, and was underwhelmed as well. Possibly THE worst foods and service from any of the restaurants we tried at Cabo. 5/2023 - 4 day stay in Cabo and this is one of the places you must visit. All outdoor seating is next to a beautiful beach with a view if the Pacific. Food was exceptional. Chef Angel and his kitchen staff are on top of their game. Food was prepared to order, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. Each dish was presented as we finished each course. They had an opened kitchen where you could see the chef prepare the food which to me is the greatest concept for fine dining (thanks Barbara Lazaroff...Wolfgang Pucks ex-wife...for inventing the concept). Chef came to our table to be introduced and we complimented him. Our waiter Mario was excellent. He knew the menu, friendly, attention to detail, observant, and all around nice. The general manager, Javier was very personable, came to our table to make sure we were taken care of. This is my second trip to Cabo and this restaurant is by far one of the best. Thank goodness first impressions aren't always right. Knowing that we would be arriving at the resort a little later, our friends went ahead and made reservations for the four of us at Cilantro's. I was so excited - my first meal at the resort and an upscale one at that. We unpacked a little, changed into nice clothes and did a little exploring as we walked to the restaurant. We were immediately seated and greeted by our server. We had to ask for a menu because the carved QR code on the table couldn't be read by our phones. We placed drink orders then begun perusing the menu. After a bit, we ordered and began catching up as we haven't seen each other in over 3 years. It took quite awhile to get our first course. I had a crab cake while the other 3 had soup. I'm not quite sure how to describe the crab cake - it was more of a fried ball. Instead of a crab mixture inside, it was more of a crab salad. It was ok but definitely something I wouldn't order again. Everyone's soup tasted ok but all three bowls were only lukewarm. Our bowls were cleared and we continued to catch up - it's a good thing we had a lot to talk about - it was quite awhile before we were served our entrees. I had the pasta with butter and salmon. The dish was supposed to be pasta and salmon, green bean purée, asparagus and dried tomatoes. I was served a bowl of ziti noodles with three chunks of salmon atop. There was a lone piece of asparagus, and I am not kidding, it was less than a quarter inch long. The pasta was cold and the salmon lukewarm. My husband and one friend had the pork entrecôte. A scoop of an unusual tasting plantain purée was topped with an extremely over cooked pork chop. Both said the chop had potential but was just way too dry. And like mine, neither of their meals was hot. Our other friend got the fish with potatoes scale. His dish was actually hot. The funny part though, his fish wasn't cooked through - it was trigger fish and wasn't meant to be cooked rare - it was straight up raw in the center. He managed to pick around the edges. We could have sent the food back but we started our day at 2am and just didn't have the energy to wait another hour for replacements. Our dessert was served in a more timely manner. Everything we had was good, not great. This was one course that the temperature was right on - the ice cream was frozen! Service in the states has become slow because of the lack of staffing. That didn't appear to be the problem here - there was ample wait staff and several people in the open kitchen. There were only two other tables of guests the whole time we were there so the crowd wasn't a problem either. Luckily there were other dining options at the resort. Cilantro's definitely didn't deserve a second chance. read more

Best part about this restaurant is heating ocean waves at night while having dinner. What can I say other than typical mediocre overpriced hotel restaurant albeit with a beautiful view. Although I had a very nice lunch here the dinner I will not be coming back for! Small portions, mediocre food and high prices! Just say no and do not consider it unless you're here on an all-inclusive package then you're kind of stuck, but I would recommend going next door to the Rose for food at least for dinner. Please do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. Order room service. To start, don't make a reservation for a party over 4 because that will just confuse them on how to handle your table situation. Don't order soup...ANY of the soups. That is unless you like warm water with salt. Don't even ask for limes for your drink because they won't remember. We tried most of their appetizers...they really love salt here. Menu says "crab cake", enter pastry puff with imitation crab meat. The only good part of the meal was the complimentary onion bread. Literally cannot wait to get back to my room to order a room service burger. (Meal cont'd) If they offer you their special tequila, I will save you the trouble of actually tasting it. It has a hint of tequila with strong notes of a sweaty man's armpit ("3 Generations" worth). We tried the spaghetti, grilled shrimp, pasta with butter and salmon and the surf and turf. Salt salt and more salt! One person complained about a chemical aftertaste to the shrimp. I have one question; how do you mess up spaghetti?? Legitimate question for the chef. If you are looking for a nice, casual, inexpensive dinner on the beach this is definitely the place for you. My wife and I ate here on our last night for only $60!! What a great place. We came here while on vacation staying at a sister resort to Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos. I overheard someone at the pool saying that this is a very good place, so when we came to town we decided to have lunch here. It was a great decision. Cilantro's does not open until noon, we could not be seated until that time. But once we were seated we sat in the front row looking out directly onto the beach and Los Cabo's Bay. It was an amazing location and a terrific place to spend a couple of hours for a leisurely lunch. Our server, David, was attentive and provided excellent service. We started with spinach salads which were fresh and nicely prepared with very light dressing which we both appreciated. We then had the tuna tostadas, also recommended at the pool earlier in the day. These were a fun fusion idea that included fresh diced tuna on a fried tortilla with avocado and some guacamole. They were excellent and thoroughly enjoyable. We also decided to order an entrée which included two different shrimp dishes. I had grilled shrimp with fresh vegetables, I chose not to have the rice. It was a super fresh and healthy on tray that was wonderfully prepared. My companion had the coconut shrimp also well prepared and beautifully presented. I highly recommend Cilantro's for its excellent food and unparalleled location. read more

If you like a mouth full of salt then Cilantros is the place to go. The view is beautiful, right on the deck that overlook the Cabo arch and beach. Service wasn't bad either. We didn't have to wait 1 hour for food, it came out at a decent time. Food: Some were good, some bad, some horrible. Extremely salty: fish, steak, seared tuna... Some better items to order, the grill octopus and crab cakes and grilled shrimp. But food was just okay... Nothing great to remember. Lots of salt in the food. Compared to their nasty buffet, Cilantros is a better option. Be sure to make reservations, that way you don't have to wait 15 minutes for a table when nobody is in the restaurant. read more

I never review but you know how it goes--you tell everybody not to go to a bad place. View is nice but food is very mediocre for a $70 bill. Fish had no flavor (like not even salted) and the prawns were on a bed of various green and tasted blah. Like others said, appetizers took 20 min and bread came out after like 15 minutes. For a place that's $$$ on Yelp, this is not quality service. View is good but that's all this place has going for it. The food and drinks were good but our waiter, Demetrio, was extremely rude. He made it very obvious he didn't want to serve us. The food at Cilantro's was 4 stars in my opinion. The service, on the other hand, was awful! Cilantro's is part of Pueblo Bonito Blanco's all-inclusive restaurant, but in order have dinner here after 5 pm, reservations must be made. We even tried to have drinks at the bar around 6pm and they were hesitant to seat us even though the restaurant wasn't packed and we weren't eating food. For dinner, we made an 8:30pm reservation for 12 people. When we got there, they placed 8 of us at a big round table and the other 4 at a table about 8 feet away. We asked to be moved closer together but they couldn't move 3 square tables so that we could have the meal together. I don't know why the reservation desk didn't inform us earlier that it isn't possible to sit together. The other odd thing about dinner here is that it's so dark, I wasn't really sure what I was eating most of the night. The servers said that the lighting is on purpose to make the dinner more romantic. The food comes out really slow, but it was worth the wait. I ate here for lunch and dinner (COMPLETELY different menu items) and the seafood dishes were delicious and fresh! I highly recommend the seafood linguine and green ceviche (lunch) and the crab cakes, jalapeño poppers filled with cream cheese & shrimp, and the seafood stew (dinner). The dinner entrees were so-so. The best one was probably the filet, we tried both the chimichurri and black pepper sauces and they were equally tasty. The filet was tender and the dish was quite filling with the side of veggies. Nothing special about the spaghetti or BBQ ribs. My friends said that the catch-of-the-day (sea bass) and cilantro chicken were good but I didn't get to try them. The dinner desserts were also delicious and different from the lunch options. For dinner dessert, the banana ice cream was my fave because it didn't taste like bananas and there was a crunchy texture from the crushed nuts. The flan was smooth, firm, and not overly sweet. The lunch desserts were not very tasty--skip that. Overall, I was pretty happy with the food at Cilantro's since the entire meal was part of the all-inclusive stay. read more

Beautiful setting no matter what - charming, casual, overlooking the beach. The first time we came for lunch on Saturday, we had great, friendly service, and really good food -- tried an assortment of appetizers (shrimp cocktail, octopus cocktail, guacamole, tuna tostadas) and they were all very good- the tuna tostada was really tasty. The kids had quesadillas and pasta off the kids menu (also good), and we split one entree - the butterflied shrimp - also good. Based on this lunch, I would have rated Cilantro's a 5 and totally recommended it. In fact, we came back. When we returned on Monday for dinner, it was like we had gone to a totally different restaurant. The service was absolutely horrible. We sat for a long time with no menus, and when our server cleared the menus from the table next to us, and I asked him if we could have them, he just looked confused, like - "you want menus?" We quickly ordered, then proceeded to wait 1-1/2 HOURS for our food to arrive - when it finally did, just one entree was delievered (with no explanation or apology) and then about 10 minutes later, the other finally came. Neither of them (the sea bass and parrot fish, served with rice and veggies) were especially memorable. Throughout the night we asked for butter several times - never came (finally had to get it from La Paloma across the courtyard) and several times for a heat lamp (eventually got it). Like I wouldn't know the difference . Sauce on filet tasted like lighter fluid . Ordered more bread after no response upon second request they said they needed to find more bread as they ran out. We've eaten here a few times over that past few years. I wouldn't eat here without the all inclusive! The view is great, the service is always a bit slow, and you must have reservations. I usually eat the same thing, the caesar salad and the grilled flank steak. I have tried the cilantros chicken, which I wasn't a fan of. I have also tried the pepper and crab cake appetizers which were decent. This last trip, I again had the caesar and grilled flank steak. The service was super slow and the caesar salad was warm. When he did come over, he mumbled that he'd offer free dessert to the three raw filets (they came back promptly, medium as requested). Wouldn't comp the dinners. Went here for dinner on Monday night. We've been here a many times over the years and this meal and service was by far less then stellar. The hostess was very unorganized and we waited way past our reservation to be seated. She was very unfriendly and had a line of people waiting sometimes even talking to the staff instead of saying we will be right with you. Our meal was not much better. There was less than 2 ounces of salmon on the salmon dish (which should be at least 4 ounces), the shrimp was burnt on both the shrimp specials. I am not accustomed to writing poor reviews but this is a restaurant that should live up to the expectation of the Pueblo Bonito. By far the worst overall meal during our week in Cabo...ugh! We attended as a guest of a time-share refuser - seemed to border on a cruel way of rewarding a polite "no thanks" for sitting thru 2 hours of head pounding. A couple of "highlights": Mexico is famous for great bread...here - nope. Service sequence was "unique" - half the table received their entrees while the rest of us waited until done with our appetizers. The servers really seemed to be unaware of any issues. Stayed at the Blanco and went to Cilantros without a reservation for two. We also did not have the all inclusive wrist band at 6:30 on Friday evening. A little surprised we were able to get in but it really wasn't that busy. I ordered a salad and the Chief Shrimp and my wife order Spaghetti. We both ordered a glass of wine, which was served immediately by a very friendly and knowledgeable Wine Stewart, Lemir. It took over 20 minutes to get water and our food didn't show up for another 20 minutes. I could understand this if it was a busy Friday night but there were many empty tables. My salad was great but the shrimp was average. It lacked flavor and originality so I would give it a C+. My wife's spaghetti was tasteful but dry. The view is amazing but all in all, for almost $100 USD, I wouldn't recommend Cilantro's read more

Perfect weather plus amazing meal couples for a great night out with family and friends.. We had the crab cakes and squid to start. Crab cakes were okay, the squid was the star of that battle. Next we moved on to salads. We had the Cilantro salad. It was okay but missing the goat cheese, I think. At this point don't judge us for all the food we consumed. For the mains: I ordered the catch of the day which was SeaBass.. Amazing is all I can say. My hubs got one of the steaks, medium. It was cooked to perfection. I had to flag them down to get anything and it took so long to get our food we tried to cancel our order and leave. Went back 2 nights later only because nothing else was open.
