As cool as it gets…read more This local laid back very much Cigar Sanctuary, is open seven days a week as early as 11am in the city of Studio City, bordering Toluca Lake and North Hollywood. There's ample street parking in the area, vast majority of it, especially near 4419 Lankershim Blvd being metered. I've been around cigars for a bit and took up a social habit this year and have been learning a lot. I definitely lean more medium bodied, also how I like my wine as well as whiskey/scotch/bourbon, but have come across a lot of light, not to mention full bodied flavors. A nice Rocky Patel and a Balvenie 12 year neat, sounds like a good day. I've been in small handful of times now and the service is always friendly, personable and thoughtful. They're happy to guide you, answer any questions you have as well as let you explore. They have some of if not the best whole sale prices I've come across in the valley, maybe even all of Los Angeles. Great premium cigars, accessories and more. A lot of cigar folks gather in front with their patio chair and table overlooking Lankershim. They have a huge selection as well as a backroom lounge. Open until 9pm, Monday through Thursday. Fridays and Saturday they stay opened until 10pm. Sundays there hour are from Noon to 8pm There's Wi-Fi, a flat screen in the lounge, plus a fair amount of tables and chairs. Open every day, seven days a week.

After all of the great reviews and even a bad one that complained about the parking (not the stores fault) I stopped by and picked up some smokes. The shop is big and the only two things bigger were the private club side and the selection in the Humidor. I found a couple of great Monte Cristo sticks for the party. Peter was super friendly and helpful as I had some questions about a traveling humidor. So glad I learned they are taking over the shop in Valencia. This place 'smokes' most shops.

Whether you're a seasoned cigar enthusiast or just getting into the hobby, there's something for everyone. My new favorite cigar is the Eye of the Shark by Arturo Fuente, and I was pleasantly surprised to see they were fully stocked with it. It's not always easy to find some of the more sought-after cigars, but The Humidor seems to do a great job keeping premium selections available. They also carry all of the brands I love, including Cohiba, AVO, and Arturo Fuente. The humidor is well organized, the cigars are kept in excellent condition, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming and enjoyable. If you're looking for a cigar lounge with an outstanding selection and top-tier brands, The Humidor is definitely worth checking out. It has quickly become one of my go-to spots.

Let me start by saying that it is rare to find a cigar lounge in CA that does not require…read moreridiculous member fees. That alone makes this establishment gold in my book. That being said, I just stopped by this Thanksgiving week and was pleasantly surprised. At first I was a bit standoffish because when I entered, everyone was sitting and enjoying a cigar and no one in particular seemed like they were working there. For good measure I was sure to be friendly on approach, said hello to all, and went directly for the humidor. In my experience, spending some time looking things over first will certainly ensure someone comes in to check on you; the longer they take, the more they feel comfortable not babysitting you (in my humble opinion). The humidor here is twice the size of most establishments with a non-member lounge, so it took a while for someone to come in. Once they did, I asked if they were running this fine establishment, and he replied that he owned it. Since I was there visiting, I asked for a recommendation and he recommended a treat for just slightly over what I told him I was looking for. Without going into detail, I will say that I recognized the brand and felt that it was more than a good recommendation and humored him on buying a stick. Indeed, I agree, it was a delightful smoke; I managed to enjoy it until the last possible breath. Now, the humidor was good enough on its own to merit five stars, but the patrons that were there that evening showed me that Cigar House was well worth a second visit. To clarify, the full length of the humidor was chalked full of cigars I had either already tried or read about and the selection of Davidoff's leading up to the main show were amazing, too. We can all stock our humidors with online deals, but having a good cigar provider in the area we live is a blessing. The value here is being able to buy a stick or two and sit and enjoy a warm, comfortable place to light up without paying for a club membership. If you put in the effort, they will get to know you and that is how this works. Now that I know that this place is here, I intend fully on returning. Proper cigar enthusiasts are friendly and welcoming. In my experience, Cigar House had plenty of them hanging around and there were plenty of seats available for more. If you like cigars and want to enjoy one with others who do, too, come check this place out. Be reasonable; if there is no game on the TV, there may not be a good enough excuse for others to be there. Also, bring a bottle of your favorite drink to pair; if you share, they may as well. I hope to be back soon! Cheers and happy smoking.
