Ripped pillows and two of many destroyed chairs that reside here.

Staff was nice enough for an early part of the day with nobody really here. The place does have potential, but missed in many areas. I brought a coffee I was finishing up from down the road and was told I needed to leave it in car, even though I purchased about 4 cigars here and only wanted to smoke one. Seems they only want you to buy their liquor here. Aside from being told my outside beverage wasn't wanted which I can understand to some degree, this place is cluttered with torn and ripped pillows and leather seats. Not a lot of pride is taken in keeping it looking decent it seems. Perhaps if you are a local they treat you better or you just wouldn't care about its upkeep. Don't live anywhere near here so I wouldn't be back but even if I did live here I wouldn't spend my time or money here. Plenty of others from out of town have posted reviews about terrible staff and negative experiences. I can see what they mean once I walked in and dealt with my own experience.

    Great selection of libations

It's like Cheers on steroids. Everybody may not know your name yet, but they treat you like they've known you all your life & you can smoke cigars! They have a fantastic walk in humidor with a huge selection of cigars and knowledgeable staff that will help you select the perfect cigar then you can go to the bar for a nice variety of mostly local beers on tap as well as scotch, whiskey, bourbon and much more as well as their own vintage of Woodford, Jack Daniels & Whistle Pig. You can sit at the nice size & comfortable bar where you can make new friends or watch sports ot classic movies or they have several areas with comfortable seats where you can socialize with your friends. I travel a LOT and this is absolutely my favorite cigar bar hands down. Other cigar bar owners should come here to see how it's done right.

Solid 5 stars. The owners work the whole place. One tends bar and the other works the front when you walk in the humidor. The humidor was filled with any brand I could want and not at crazy prices either. I picked my cigar had a nice chat with the owner who told me if I was going to have a drink I could add the cigar to my bar tab. So off to meet owner 2. Awesome guy who was running a good size bar. He said I looked like "Ray Donavan" so he gets 5 plus stars now lol I had 3 nice pours of Makers Mark and finished my cigar. On the way out I bought a golf shirt and a coaster his wife made. Shop and buy small peeps. And when in North Conway do not skip over this gem!!

Great cigars. This was an excellent recommendation.

Fortunately I stumbled up one this great cigar lounge while staying in the area. The best selection of cigars I have ever seen. Great sitting areas and full stocked bar. I enjoyed smoking with the therapy dogs and visiting with the locals and making new friends. The place is very clean and has a good air handling system. Highly recommend for the serious cigar smoker.

Over the years staff has come and gone (save for a few who return every year faithfully, and it is always a joy to see them again), but Vito's recipes are pretty steadfast. His bolognese has been my standard for decades. Once upon a time, he had the best salad dressing I'd ever had. It has changed a bit with time but still pretty incredible. The staff is not quite what it used to be - possibly due to times changing, or possibly due to my being a bit older and more cranky - but the food is always outstanding.

Seating is a little tight at these tables. There are booths and lower tables but you need to take what's available if you want to eat here. Believe me, you do want to eat here! We were served delicious Italian bread with delicious garlic, balsamic, cheese & rosemary dipping sauce. We were then served with salads with their own dressing. It was really good. We ordered toasted ravioli in a marinara sauce and two baseball sized meatballs. Both delicious. Then my honey got veal parmigiana, I got Chicken, Broccoli and Ziti in a white cheese sauce, and my sister got Chicken Marsala. We were very impressed with the portions and taste of all of these dishes. It was surprising to find such fine dining down a side street in North Conway near Zebs Country store. There is plenty of parking, a full bar, plenty of wines to choose from and handicap accessible. We rated this a 10 out of 10. We didn't have dessert as it was me and my twins Birthday. But, they sure looked delicious. Next time, and there will be a next time, I will try a dessert.

If you're anywhere near the area, this place is 100% worth stopping in for--especially that Surf & Turf Burger. I'd go back just for that alone.

As a nice joke on the name, there is a small hole in the wall that is enclosed that you can see from the outside. The walls are filled with old decorations, TVs, Conway signs and decor. The food was overall good. We started with the Thai salad. It was enormous and comes with pepper, sunflower seeds, cranberry, sunflower seed dried, almonds, and more. This salad was so good that we got it to go the next day! For entrees we got the Texas Tornado sandwich (boneless chicken breast with bacon) and the Surf and Turf Burger. The chicken wasn't dry and the sweet potato fries ($2 upcharge) were good. For the surf and turf, I didn't feel like the lobster blended well with the burger so I took it off and ate it separately. The French fries were finger licking good! Our waitress was really nice and friendly and make some good conversation and recommendations. The wait time for our entrees was a little slow.

The service and food were fantastic. I had an Irish coffee with Bailey's and it was so good I had to have another. We booked the "red room" for a party of 10 patrons which we scheduled far in advance. The people that were in the room before us ran over on their time, so we had to wait about 18 minutes after our reservation. The room is pretty cramped due to the length of the table, but it was cute and cozy. The max amount of people is 12 in this room. I had the taste of Ireland, which gives you three dishes in sample size: shepherds pie, beef stew & chicken pot pie. For $19.00 (kind of steep) it was okay. You can tell that there's a lot of pride, and it has a "just like mama used to make" method of cooking. Seems like they take a lot of pride in all of their dishes. It seems that everybody truly enjoyed their dishes, even the ones that had salad. Again, it was really nice that we were able to have our very own room. I would certainly come back and have the corned beef and cabbage meal; that's what my mother had and she said it was great. The only negative thing I would say is that our waitress seemed like she was a bit annoyed, having to wait on a large group and we needed to split our checks. Other than that I felt that our service was sufficient.

(Dirty room, vowed never again to try to sleep there after the night Innkeeper told us to just sleep on top of the covers because she isn't housekeeping.) Anyhoo, I'd heard they do breakfast for the public and that there may possibly be new owners so we went back to give it a. Try. We walked past the front desk with an old man on the phone who didn't even look up. Then we wandered around looking for the host stand while some old lady vacuumed. No greet, no welcome, she just kept vacuuming while we tried to figure out how to get a table. No one bothered to help, say hello or even acknowledge that they could see us so we left. Seriously, forget this place. They clearly don't care to stay in business. Update: just to make sure I wasn't losing my mind after this response, it literally says breakfast on your sign by the road and you have a breakfast menu on your website. AND there were people in the dining room eating soooooo, what am I misunderstanding? Never mind. Good luck.

We were going to get drinks, and then head over to our reservation at a different restaurant. Upon entering the building, we found the lounge and were greeted by a hostess, who informed us we could sit anywhere. We chose a cozy-looking rounded couch near the fire. When I sat down, I noticed the table in front of us was covered with drinks from a previous party. There was also a menu left over from them. I decided to ignore this and we picked up the menu to look at what drinks they offered. I wish I could say something about what the drinks tasted like or their quality, but the only thing we consumed here was the air we breathed. We were pretty much ignored the entire 20-30 minute period that we sat on that couch. The only sort of acknowledgment we got was from a girl that came in with big plates of food, asking different patrons if they ordered the meal she was holding. She asked us and two other groups before walking out with the food. I understand how busy it can get, and I would have been okay with waiting longer if we had been greeted by the bartender. Saying something like "Hey guys, I'll be right with you." May seem small and insignificant, but it lets the customer know that you see them and will be back to take care of them. We ended up going to The Wentworth, where they also have a bar/cocktail lounge. The waitress was very busy running around with plates, but she said hello and made us feel welcome. Ever since we went to Stonehurst Ive been reading over reviews, and there are so many things I was shocked to see. The price of a stay is way too expensive for the type of feedback this place is getting. I hope things change so that people can enjoy this historic location once more.
