After water mitigation and demolition were completed, we were left needing extensive repairs and full remodels of the affected areas. This was our first time dealing with a major home issue, and navigating insurance, contractors, and conflicting opinions felt overwhelming and stressful. I spoke with several contractors and received multiple estimates, but Alan stood out immediately. He was the first to respond and the first to give clear, straightforward, and honest answers. Beyond that, Alan is genuinely such a fun and easygoing person to work with, which made a stressful situation feel much more manageable. He has a great eye for design and prioritizes top-notch materials while still being realistic and respectful of budget. They tore off our old exterior stairs structure and siding, waterproofed the entire wall, and installed new siding and a stairs structure that is far superior to the old one. Their integrity and work quality are off the charts. The owner, Ahmad Khreshi, did thorough research before starting our well-planned project. I was impressed by his knowledge of current construction techniques and dedication to doing the job right. There were several problems that required Ahmad to think outside of the box, one being how to install siding under our existing power lines conduit which was mounted to the exterior wall at six different points. Several times, Ahmad's crew discovered water damage due to poor work by our developer. Ahmad was extremely flexible in adding repair of that damage into his work plan on top of the bid-upon work. Ahmad was kind and fair, listened to our concerns, answered our questions, kept us in the loop, worked with us on timing, and gave us a couple breaks. His crew was extremely professional and respectful, taking off their shoes when they had to come through the building and isolating interior work areas with plastic sheet dividers. When our project was completed, Ahmad send us the following. I've never worked with a contractor who followed up with an offer of help like this: "Remember, you can always reach out with any technical building related questions, in any trades. I'm more than happy to give advice and guidance on code matters or general best practices, even if you are hiring other people."

First and foremost everyone with Before and After Home Improvement has a work ethic and it's a good one, no shabby shoddy work here. When Rick came to give me an estimate for the project he brought books that had the different colors and grades/levels of composite decking as well as a book with the different railing and baluster choices. Now I did have other estimates set up, however one did not show, and the other company was very nice but they emailed me the quote a few days later and told me they used Trex decking and that was it, no brochures or explaining the different options, nothing, made me wonder if I was supposed to do my own research. Rick explained the high and low end options and the differences in the type of boards Trex carries, which were also pictured in the brochure. If you are within a budget he will let you know what the pricing differences are, your best option, how long the product will last, warranties, ect. He takes the time to talk to you like you're a person and not just a customer in the assembly line. The gentlemen that came to do the work have a work ethic (getting harder to find in people nowadays), they showed up on time, didn't mind me asking questions here and there and wanted the installation to be and look the best. He…read morehired subcontractors to tarp my property and they trespassed my property when I wasn't there despite making it clear that I need to be there and let them in. I scheduled their visit for 9am but they jumped over my fences around 8am. They proceeded with the tarp and severely damaged my sidings/window frames and hammered large nails all over my deck which seemed to be an experiment because they weren't sure if those nails would work on vinyl siding. The two man were also coming in and out of my kitchen door (connected to deck) inside the house to see if my windows were covered or not WITHOUT knocking/permission. Made me feel very uncomfortable. Pricing - the owner said it'll be a few hundred when HE STOPPED BY in person after evaluating the house but hit us with a bill that was over a thousand dollars. This quote was for urgent service however, he tried billing us much more. Inconsistency occurred throughout the interaction. PLEASE do yourself a favor and hire someone else. I informed that he'll be paid once insurance pays or he can directly claim with insurance, which he agreed however he is now threatening to put a lien on the house. AVOID Rick and this company at all cost.

We converted two rooms plus a hallway into a master suite as well as split two large upstairs rooms into three. We had structural concerns and lots of logistics to work out and I wouldn't trust anyone other than Mike to draw up the plans to make sure everything is safe and up to code. Al oversaw the projects and was in constant communication with us and regularly was on site to make sure everything was going smoothly. If anything wasn't 100% correct or what we had discussed, he would make sure it was remedied. Big shout out to Franz who even showed up to work the day after his wife had a baby! The M3 team worked late days and on weekends (with our consent) to meet their deadlines, even when the county held them up with permitting issues they still worked hard to finish within our timeframe. We even made major changes to our plans after construction had begun and they were able to pivot and help us get more square footage for the upstairs bedrooms. There were also numerous curveballs that they handled with ease (ya never know what you'll get with an old house). This was our first time doing any sort of large project and the team at M3 gave us plenty of guidance and support to make sure the finished product exceeded our expectations.
