I'm a Mexican gal who of course loves Mexican food, and because I can cook it (and really good I have to say) then I get kinda picky. But this place is like OMG!!! I ordered the Molcajete, and let me express my happiness, very Mexican like, flavors were amazing, and the amount of food you get is just ridiculously great, to drink I have Horchata water and jeezzz the thing was good, nothing from a bottle but the fresh deal. Is not expensive at all and the food is great. The beans reminds me the ones I grew up with that my grandma cooked for us, so yes, I totally recommend this place for sure, just be aware that is very busy and the restaurant is not that big, so be patient and enjoy their amazing food. read more

2 words: salsa bar. Surprisingly the habanero wasn't the spiciest. I think the ranchero was the tastiest of the bunch and I forget there was another one next to the habanero that was the spiciest. I had the Don Quijote. Should've gone with the fajita. The chicken and beef are pounded thin. Otherwise the plate has similar fares as the fajita. Kid had the chicken burrito which comes smothered almost like an enchilada. If you're looking or a handheld burrito this is not it. Also it had a really off taste, perhaps the chicken. Rice, beans, pico, etc. all decent. Chips were good, salsa was on the runny side. Noticed someone with a large margarita and it was quite large. Otherwise staff was friendly. I would go back to check out some other dishes but would not really recommend the ones we got. I think there's potential though. Prices relatively cheap for the quantity. read more

We went here last night at 8:30pm, took quite a long time for us to get a server, took a long time to get drinks etc. Our food tasted good however I got something different than what I ordered, sent it back & waited again. Their rice is delicious, again all of the food was tasty. However We ordered a pitcher of Strawberry Margaritas, they were not tasty. Way too much puree, not enough alcohol & they were a cross between frozen & just liquid. My husband & I did not finish the drinks because they made us both sick at our stomachs. We were visiting from New Jersey and were attempting to avoid indoor eating. It was discomfiting to see customers liberally eating indoors, but wouldn't hold that against the management; anyway, ordered takeout. This is a no-frills, ng Mexican place. The food is affordable and mediocre- you get what you pay for. Almost everything was unremarkable- the fish tacos, the guac dip, the veggie fajitas(the forgot to add the soft tacos!)...everything was meh but we were hungry after a day at the trails and gulped everything down. Not sure why some comments here were ga-ga over the friendliness of the staff- I didn't see any smiling faces. Its possible one of the Mexican joints from Gatlinburg were a better choice but those were packed(higher risk), so that's that. Not bad but wouldn't go again. read more

This is a tiny restaurant and there was about a 30 minute wait for our big party (7). Excellent, fresh, Mexican food. Service was quick once we were seated. I personally enjoyed arroz con pollo with vegetables. It was delicious. I also had shrimp cocktail- it wasn't the best I've ever had, it actually looked like a thin soup. This is a rare find in Pigeon Forge, a great Mexican Restaurant great food, great service, and the best prices on the strip. First the salsa is some of the best I've eaten. Next, my wife and I had the Don Quixote, it was steak, chicken, & shrimp in cheese sauce with beans, rice, and creme salad, also included tortillas. Everything had excellent flavor and was well cooked. We both really enjoyed the food as well as the authentic Mexican atmosphere. You can't go wrong with this place. Good food but was kinda bummed when we ordered things and they came out with substitutes that we were never informed of when we ordered. I get that supply chain issues are hard right now - but if you order a dip sampler of salsa, bean dip, queso, and guac and you get one bowl of salsa and 3 bowls of queso without being informed they're out of other items that's a problem for me. They also let dogs in the restaurant which I think is unsanitary if it's not patio seating. But overall the service was fast and people were friendly. read more

First thing I noticed when I walked in is the AC was not working and it was 79 inside the restaurant very uncomfortable. When we were seated we where not given menus, silverware or napkins. We had to ask for all 3 items. I asked for a Texana margarita which is one of there premium margaritas and right away I could tell it was not fresh and was a premix they had sitting in a jug. The reason for the 2 stars was the food. The favor was good and my family each enjoyed there dishes. When I had first gotten there I instantly noticed that their menu is almost impossible to read and the descriptions of the food are not accurate at all. The menu had said my order came with 3 fajita tacos and each comes with: grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream but I said I didn't want lettuce. All I got at first was 3 extremely greasy tacos with peppers, onions, and tomatoes. So it came with toppings that weren't even listed and it was disgustingly greasy... to the point I couldn't eat it. Outstanding Tex Mex style food. Chili Relleno was the star of the meal. I ordered a lunch combo 13. If you order with cheese enchiladas they give you a white sauce over all the items.
