Been back here twice in July. Both times were great. Restaurant is clean and service is excellent. First time was chicken fajita which was a good amount of chicken and delicious. Second time was shrimp fajita which was just as good and very tasty. The side dish of rice, beans and salad is excellent too. Most dishes are made with good quality and very tasty. Gonna keep coming back!! read more

I went there yesterday for the first time with two family members that came in from out of town and wanted to eat Mexican food. Based on their former reviews, I suggested Kiko's. As we sat down the first thing that greeted us was a spider running across the table top, uggh. One family member had veggie nachos and stated it was mediocre food. The other family member had veggie fajitas and really liked it. I had the burrito special and it was a burrito I've ever eaten! Won't be going back. read more

I almost hate to let everyone know about Kiko's because it's already popular in South Knoxville, but I share because it's THAT good! We drove from Karns to Seymour for lunch today and Kiko's is our new favorite Mexican restaurant. The fajitas were delicious, and the friendly, family atmosphere is like dining with a room full of friends. The owner was waiting tables and clearly enjoys his work. The restaurant is clean, the food delicious and fresh. There aren't many restaurants ts that I would travel 45 minutes each way for, but for Kiko's I will. The Tres Leche cake is worth the drive just by itself! read more

Haven't been in awhile I felt the food quality had went down hill, it's been probably 3/4 years since my last visit, I used to like Kiko's not so much anymore. It started back when they were doing $1 tacos on Tuesday, I always had tacos from there good amount of meat good flavor but the $1 tacos not so much, barely any meat if there was a teaspoon full I'd be shocked, anyways back to the other night placed an order to pick up, first mistake, asked for chili con queso with beef, 2nd mistake, when I tell you I'm not sure what I got I'm not, it definitely wasn't chili con queso that I was sure of. It legit looked like dirty dish water with chunky pieces of beef it literally turned my stomach looking at it. It was only ground beef, I guess cheese sauce and a pint of grease!!!!!!! It was separated from the (I'm guessing) cheese sauce. Here's where it gets good, I called them back and explained to them what I got it and how disgusting it was and no way I could eat it. What she said to me floored me, oh we use 80/20 ground beef that creates a lot of grease from cooking so next time ask them to put the meat on the side for you. Sooooooo I have to ask for no extra grease from now on? No thank you!!! read more

My best friend and I took the day off,and decided to do lunch. I said what sounds good, first she said pizza, and then suggested Mexican. Sounded GREAT! She knows the area well, and suggested the place, I said I will meet you there. We were greeted warmly, got to pick our place. And served warm fresh chips and salsa, right away, nice. Menus came also, server was sweet. ( and Valentine's Day was her Birthday) she was prompt, and attentive! 5 stars for her! Prices are so inexpensive, and food was good, haha...I was full but kept nibbling...I enjoy nachos, like who doesn't! Had chicken, cheese, and bean. Next time I'll order a side of sour cream, and guacamole... Life is Good. Over all it was good, filling, and priced right! Nice stop, away from the city, local... Parking is sparce, business, looks a little rough on the outside...But inside is clean, and friendly. The owner, and staff are warm, and welcoming. read more

See all

Just visited Kiki's for the second time and I honestly do get the appeal. Basics: this is a small, local restaurant that can be a bit of a challenge for non-locals to find. The interior is cozy, but nice. Plenty of booths, but not much available for large groups. I was with a large group both times and staff did what they could to accommodate. Both times started with chips and salsa. Tonight the chips were incredibly hard and stale - definitely tasted like we got the last of the bag that had been sitting around for a few months. This place does not make their own chips. The salsa wasn't runny, but wasn't thick. Taste was beyond bland. The first time I came here I ordered fish tacos. Because of a sensitivity to avocados, I asked for no guac and asked not to have sour cream. I did ask for extra pico de gallo. When my meal arrived, there were 2 tacos wrapped in foil. When I opened it, there were 2 tortillas with grilled fish inside. WHAT?!?! No cabbage salad? What is a fish taco without the cabbage salad? Tasteless. It was served with rice and beans, and the beans were not made from scratch. Tonight I went back because any restaurant can have an off night or perhaps fish tacos are simply not what they do best. I ordered a taco salad with chicken and beans and extra salsa. It was served in a tortilla shell and was the size or a restaurant house salad. I think there may have been a chunk of two of chicken, though I wouldn't swear to it. Under a thin layer of lettuce, there was a huge amount of refried beans. I'm used to being asked if I want refried or ranchero beans, and the refried beans was a disappointment. Over the thin layer of lettuce was a few pieces of tomato and salsa covering it. Naturally, the salsa was the same tasteless stuff on the table with the chips. For this meal I was charged $9.00. $9.00 for a restaurant side salad-sized meal. I left the restaurant hungry and needed to fix a real salad when I got home. The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because the staff are very friendly and they did get my order right. However, after 2 tries, I'm officially giving up on this place. From now on I'll just stay at home and cook the recipes my Mexican mother-in-law taught. read more

Don't ask why I was even eating in Seymour much less craving Tex-mex, but know that this place seemed fine. I did think the chips were a bit stale and the salsa watery, but the dish I had (Mio y tulla) was quite tasty. Chili rellenos, enchiladas, and a good sprinkling of chorizo on top...I did think at first that it was too bad that both the chilis and the enchiladas had the same topping--but I ate every bite and wanted more, anyway. I did not ask for drinks so I'm not sure if they have alcohol. Hard to imagine a Tex-mex place not having beer, though. I must say- the comment from the guy saying "I'm from Mexico..." to prove his knowledge base is kind of like someone saying "I'm from Arkansas, so I know my Cajun cuisine." This food is TEX-MEX not Mexican!!! I would not drive to Seymour to eat here-- there are plenty of good Tex-mex places between me and there. But if in Seymour....I'd sure not hesitate to go again. read more

Over all the food is pretty good. The salsa could be better, for a Mexican own restaurant you would expect great salsa right? Worth a try and don't forget taco Tuesdays! read more

The first time we went to Kiko's and I ordered the chile Riano and tamale. It was very good and service was good. The second time we went to Kikos We went for taco Tuesday and called in the order. when we got home and open the container the tacos looked like they had been just slap together ...... the tacos hardly had any meat or vegetables inside of it. We were truly disappointed!! they had also left out the salsa,so the tacos were dry and unappealing. So I have to say this is a mixed review. read more

Went on a slow Sunday evening w high expectations based on reviews. The chicken fajitas were bland, chips greasy and salsa bland and watery. My husband got the shrimp Diablo which was very tasty. Portions were very large. Service was adequate- not very friendly. read more

Quick service. Good Mexican. Great prices! Not our all time favorite but soothes our craving & we are thankful for this local spot.

Amazing food. Good Table service. I would rather eat here than any chain Mexican restaurants. Knows how to make bangin Chimichanga's.

I have never had a bad experience here. The staff is fast and friendly. For me, it is the best Mexican restaurant in the area. Great people, good food! read more

Kiko's - a table with plates of food on it - Mexican Near Me - Seymour, Tennessee

All i can say, is try it and you will be back. Great food. Nice atmosphere and the owners are 5 in every respect.

My waitress was awfully rude. She wouldn't take care of us. Only checked on us one total time. She refused to refill our drinks. She handed us our check all together when we requested to have them separate. The waitress is Darian and i will not be coming back to this establishment until she is gone. Very poor service. read more

We returned to the area for the first time in 7 months. We have been looking forward to eating here and BAM! They are still just as friendly, fast, and supremely tasty. read more

Salty ass food!! Terrible!! Sad excuse for Mexican food. I am a Mexican from California and I have no idea why this place has 5 stars. The food is so salty it's insane. It's horrible! This ain't Mexican food. I have been trying to find a decent Mexican restaurant around here and I can't find one. The food is always way over salted and covered in cheap sauces and very cheap very plain. All I can say is this is nothing like real Mexican food. Better off eating Taco Bell. This is salt covered in cheap sauce with cheap meat. I can't get the salt taste out of my mouth. Taste like Walmart taco flavoring with tons of added salt. For anyone that likes this place. This is not Mexican food, not even close. read more

Great food, service, and prices! Definitely recomend this place! Never had anything but awesomeness!!

It's an almost hidden treasure of Seymour - right off of Boyd's Creek across from Seymour High School. The portions are good, prices are low, and the food is excellent. You can order takeout or dine in. I would certainly recommend Kiko's over the other Seymour Mexican restaurant. read more

They will specifically make gluten-free dishes and I have never had a cross-contamination! The food is excellent and reminds me of the wonderful sonoran mexican food I used to eat in Arizona. Excellent service. read more

Want something off menue... never been an issue. (Like putting together my own combo) Such a neat local spot. Come in just once.... and you will be back. read more

This little Mexican restaurant is amazing! They have a variety of items and combinations to choose from and the prices are quite reasonable!
