I came here because of the "good" reviews, but in my honest opinion this place left alot to be desired. As we approached the restaurant, there were a bunch of suspicious guys standing by the door. I know they were there hiding out from the rain, but they were right in front of the door so I had to squeeze myself inside because they showed no signs of moving. Once inside, the restaurant looked very dark. Not alot of lighting. The salsa that was given to us was horrible and very watery. I ordered the Chicken Fajitas which came out with rice and a side of lettuce, tomatoes and guac. Lettuce was brown, not alot of tomatoes and the guac was brown. I'm accustomed of having a side cheese, well you won't get it unless you ask for it. The texture of the cheese was different, not your normal yellow shredded cheese. Needless to say, I didn't touch much of my food. I think the people that come here and give this place a good review are people that don't know what Mexican food taste like. Or maybe don't know the definition of what flavor is. I don't recommend, Chipotle is better than this. read more

We decided to stop despite the recent negative reviews. I don't understand those reviews. This place was clean, the food was really delicious and the service was very fast. The chips were good and our dinners, I had the Burrito El Puerto and my husband had the Enchiladas La Bandera, were really tasty. The guacamole was fresh and delicious also. We also had jumbo margaritas which I highly recommend, much better than average. Definitely would make another visit!! read more

Horrible. Cleanliness was so awful we left after the guacamole arrived. Guacamole was slimy and a light shade of green brown. My husband said it was gross and he's not hard to please. Crumbs all in the booth seats, mixed with sweat of the prior party. Salsa stains and chip crumbs encrusted to the menu. 25 minute wait for a party of 2 on a Monday at 5p. One star for our server - he was kind and got us drinks quickly. In the middle of COVID, I would especially expect better cleanliness. Good food. Typical Mexican food. Mojarra Frita was really good. The wow arsenal up their sleeve is the salsa bar! Good stuff. Didn't order but thinking about their torta sandwich. We ordered takeout and got back to our cabin to find that they didn't give us one of our entrees--the steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas. We got the salad that went with it, but no fajitas. To make matters worse, they wouldn't answer their phone so we could let them know we were on the way back to pick up what was left out of the order--and the mailbox was full and not taking any messages. This is so disappointing since we gave them a generous 20% tip for takeout and expected that we would get everything we ordered. This was on a Wed night--they can't be that busy! Terrible for take out service! Better make sure you open up your order and check it twice before you leave! They gave us our food when we returned and our tip back--but it cost us an extra 35 minutes of travel time. read more

What a great Mexican place! The place is poorly branded, poorly laid out, with poorly sized restrooms -- all indicators of great Mexican food. I got the chicken fajitas, which were wonderful, but the wife's steak fajitas were just a little bit better. The salsa, the guacamole, all of it was pretty dang good. It's worth mentioning that I had a "Medium" margarita that was only slightly smaller than my 4 year old son and made by a blind bartender (so. Much. Alcohol), but that was okay by me. This was a great stop. The kids menu had lots of options and the servings are generous. My husband got the burrito texano and I ordered the enchiladas dona maria. Worst experience ever. Waited 45 minutes for a table just for every staff member to be a total smart a**. So unprofessional and the food sucked. we're all servers so we normally tip hefty. Something about this place immediately reminds me of an old Mexican restaurant my family used to eat every single weekend back in Orlando. If your used to the chain Mexican restaurants and atmosphere it might not be for you. This is just in your face slapping good Mexican food. Great salsa and chips and food came out fast. Beans and Rice had great flavor and was a good supplement to the rest of the three item combo platter. Service was good and quick. Surprisingly good Mexican food in the Smokey Mountains. Coming from California, we weren't expecting much going into Cielito Lindo, but needed Mexican food. We ordered the molcajete, a taco/enchilada combo plate, a margarita and a Diet Pepsi. First, the service is fast and friendly. Drinks, chips and salsa are served in plentiful portions, are refilled often and very good. The molcajete was fantastic with shrimp, steak, chicken, chorizo, peppers, onions and cheese. This molcajete can easily serve two and is reasonably priced. The combo plate was good and a decent rendition of the classic combo #1. This was our second visit to the restaurant and would definitely go back when in town next. read more

Mouthwatering food! We were here just a day ago and we are already a big fan of this place. The staff is amazing and they give you great suggestions. They have plenty of vegetarian options. The place inside is nominal. Not too small and not too big. They are present right at the heart of Pigeon Forge TN. Their entrance parking is only few spots and can be congested. But drive behind the restaurant and you will see a huge parking space. This restaurant is located with other businesses next to it. They don't require a mask to enter the building nor the staff wear one. Maybe because TN has different rules. However, the food is amazing and you have got to stop there when you are closer to this place. The ambience inside is decent and the seating chairs and tables have all sorts of designs. It is a kid friendly place as well. We had to wait for about an hour to get into this place. They will take reservations ahead as well. They do not have outdoor seating. They do dine in and carryout. To tell you the truth, I lost the card for the Mexican Restaurant that we went to but this on on the map makes the most amount of sense based on where it's located on the map. It was the closest gluten sensitive food place that we saw. Mexican, unless they are using flour for the tortillas (no good Mexican place would do that, it should always be corn based) it's always a safe bet. We went in on a Sunday evening (about 7:30) and it was comfortably busy- meaning there were no lines and you got in immediately but the seating was about 1/2 full. A lot of places aren't opened on Sunday in this area. It was dark, but I'm going to blame that on the cloudy weather. They had a ton of windows so it would normally be brighter. It's not like we couldn't see what we were eating. It was just a bit dim like super fancy restaurants except this dress was casual. The food was great! It's been a week so I forgot what dishes we decided on but they were totally yummy. The chips and salsa were pretty good too. The desert menu was limited. I was hoping for sopapillas (sp?) but they didn't offer any. They had churros and fried ice cream for the most part. I'm ok with a limited menu when the food is pretty good. They told us to buy tortillas next door... I was unimpressed and actually disappointed in this restaurant. I'm from Texas and so I saw all the great reviews and thought this would be a good place to eat. When we tried ordering extra tortillas, they told us to go next door and buy more tortillas. Eventually, they understood we wanted them with the meal but it was ridiculous trying to explain that to the servers. Why would you send someone next door to buy tortillas? They weren't even handmade/authentic either, just tortillas you can buy at the grocery store. Then they forgot our queso (that, I will say was pretty good) and our pico de gallo. Food was mediocre at best. The fajitas were 1/3 meat, 2/3 onions and bell peppers. Would not recommend if you're looking for good Mexican/Tex-Mex food. read more

After reading other reviews we decided to stop in and try their steak. I got a steak quesadilla and my partner got a fajita quesadilla. The entire meal was really good! The cheese dip was a little thicker and the salsa was just the right amount of spicy! My only complaint was that I ordered a regular steak quesadilla and it came with bell peppers and onions. I would just make sure that if you order a regular quesadilla and don't like bell peppers and onions like I don't, you specify that you don't want them included. We narrowed it down to wanting Mexican and I narrowed it down to Cielito based on Yelp reviews which seemed to mention dishes that aren't your average American-Mexican food. This is definitely where you want to go for Mexican food that's closer to the authentic side. The menu has a ton of choices and I had a hard time choosing. I ended up with street style tacos that had steak and chorizo with onion, cilantro, and lime alongside. The steak was delicious. Not fatty at all,very tender and well seasoned with the chorizo, and had a delicious sear. We hadn't eaten lunch at the park that day so my husband was starving and ordered the Burrito Colorado and chicken and beef nachos. He ended up with leftovers it was also large. He mentioned that the beef was actually seasoned unlike most places. We would definitely return here if vacationing in Pigeon Forge again. read more

This is the go to Mexican cuisine in Pigeon Forge. This establishment is not the largest but they pack a mouth full of culture and taste into every plate. Warm crunchy tortilla chips with fresh salsa to start you off, followed by our favorite part, the queso. I have tryed it all over the years from tacos to Chicken ACP to steaming hot fajitas. I went for dinner with my family and had a health scare( unrelated to the restaurant) with my daughter so the first thing I want to highlight is the staff and owner of this restaurant. They are amazing human beings with hearts of GOLD. That aside, the food was also incredible. We had several different dishes between a party of 10 and every single dish was beyond our expectations. The service and the food both blew me out of the water. This is the littoral example of that amazing hole in a wall place. I recommend this restaurant far obove any competition. read more
