Didn't have time for Apple picking but the farm is gorgeous! Run, don't walk, for the cider donuts. Warm, fluffy, huge and affordable! The upper rack is for half a dozen and you can find a dozen on the second rack. You can find all kinds of baked goods - pie, bread, muffin, cake.... Produce is all the way at the end and they sell fresh eggs for decent price! Don't be discouraged with the long line, they go quickly. If you have young kids, there are chickens and sheep outside. Not sure what they are called but there are four fake horse thingy to ride.

I went to Cider Hill Farm this past weekend for some apple picking with my boyfriend and despite it being super windy out it was still a beautiful day to visit. It's about an hour away from Boston and we were hitting the Topsfield fair on the way back home so it worked out great. Although it's later in the season, they still had a whole section of trees ready to be picked. They had a ton of different apples to choose from and most apples had to be picked with the picker (giving you the full experience). We did check out the bins which also had a lot of healthy apples to choose from! For a Saturday they were pretty packed. All the food and beverage lines had a wait, but moved fairly quickly. We ordered a half a dozen of apple cider donuts, mac n cheese, apple crisp, and cold cider - all delicious and great portions! The staff was very kind and knowledgeable. They also had great live music which added to the lively atmosphere. After eating and picking apples we visited their market and got some hard cider wine, a huge pumpkin to carve, and some kettle corn - all for a reasonable price. It looked like they also had a cut flower stand, but I unfortunately didn't notice until our way out. With that being said, it looked like people who did participate had beautiful cut flower bouquets in a nice big mason jar! I would definitely visit again, especially for some wine tasting.

Dragged my fiance here this weekend. It was okay. There were so many people so it was just very crowded. The food was mid. we got corn on the cob - meh. We got the apple cider donuts and they weren't warm. They did have a selection of pumpkins, but they were all very huge. The lines were long and it just felt overrated... the apple cider slushy wasn't even a slushy was just apple cider. I really wouldn't recommend this farm

I love this farm and their famous donuts!!!! Soooooo good! I came here when it was off-season and that's fine with me considering that I wanted to get some apples and cider. The store is so cute and warm. They also have a really nice outdoor orchard and they have a lot of chickens and for my animals. They were so cute to visit while I was eating my donut outside. Love it.

Such a nice little farm! The orchards are a bit small so a lot of the good apples were already taken. It's better to visit towards end of sept/very early oct for a larger apple selection. Their food is also pretty good! Their chicken pot pie and mini mac & cheese really hit the spot after a couple hours of apple picking. Also love that they show the making of the cider donuts inside the store. The main downsides are the lines for food & drinks are very long, and there's no actual bathrooms. Just a few portable bathrooms. If they were able to fix those few things, it'd be a near perfect experience.

We came to the farm around 4 pm on Sunday with two of our kids ages 4 and 6 y o. We were able to get sample of four ciders and loved those. Also, we picked peaches, plums and blueberries but it was in a very fast pace because the picking was closing at 5 pm. There is a tractor going up the hill to get to the gardens. I was able to get some sunflowers as well. The store is open later so we got some stuff from there as well. The chicken coop was great. We will be back.

Overall: NOTE, went on a Monday so it is not indicative of the crowd, but it was nice and serene being one of the only few people. What's nice about this place is the hill and scenic overlook you have. Makes the apple picking experience much more reasonable. Apples: pretty wide selection of apples and very unique variety with plenty of sub(?) apple category selections. Regal Gala just as an example. Plenty of selection (as of late September) after the weekend rush so maybe this location isn't as busy! General Store: really cute pumpkin selection as well as all the usual suspects. Honey, apple cider donuts, hot and cold apple cider, etc. the $12 for a 1/2 peck seemed extremely reasonable!

Yes yes yes!! This apple picking farm is the perfect way to jump start your fall season. I went on a Sunday afternoon, and it was still so packed. There were so many rows of apple trees of different varieties, and they all tasted so good. The prices for these apples were also very reasonable, and we brought home quite a full bag. There were also so many other activities, it was very much a day trip for us - we also tried apple cider and the apple cider donuts. These were the best cider donuts I've ever had, as they were soft and tasty and so sweet. We got a fresh batch and it was melting in our mouths. I would love to come back, this was an amazing place to visit!

What a cute farm! I wanted to try a cider donut which led me to Cider Hill Farm. We stopped by on our drive from Maine to Boston. It was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Unfortunately, we arrived close to closing so I didn't have a lot of time to browse. There was a cute market with gifts, baked goods and fresh produce. I picked up some donuts and what a sweet treat! I'd love to come back to explore and try some apple ciders.

Pretty solid cider farm to visit to fulfill all your fall New England festivities. I'll say mostly everything is open and activities are popping on Saturdays/Sundays. Weekdays are pretty dead, but there's still fun to be had!! The store has every cool snack you can think of and their bakery items have a WIDE variety....Even stuff for gluten/dairy free/allergy friendly things. They have a fresh baked section, frozen section, fresh produce, cider bar, ect. We were in shock with how much cool stuff they had to browse. We then walked around the farm. Plot is huge and lots to see, (bring walking shoes & something you don't mind getting dirty) chicken coops, orchards, swings... place is really fun if you want to do a fall activity. Great if you want to go with your kids or friends. Lots of staff scattered around and they were generally attentive and pretty nice. Check this place out!!

I asked him and he did the same - pointed at the bread, while the two girls giggled. There was no Anadama bread and apparently no English. This is poor customer service. If you're going to hire workers who can't speak English, they shouldn't be dealing with customers. It's very frustrating trying to communicate with people that can't understand and act disrespectfully to customers. I emailed the business to express my disappointment and frustration with my experience but have heard nothing back which is a further disappointment. She explained that those workers are bakers and aren't required to speak fluent English but will still talk with them about what happened.

As you ring up your purchase, don't forget to grab a bar of handmade soap. (I'm partial to the Voodoo Spice.) If you just feel the need to get in there and grow your own, Barker's also has a green house. You can pick up seedlings for most garden vegetables there. They offer a good selection of annuals and perennials, as well. Barker's is not open year round. The parking lot may seem small but it has only been so full once that I had to wait for a space to open up. This is the local place where you can get a bunch of your necessities. They have a small curated selection of alcohol too. Because it's so small just about everything is either a heavily used item or it is a careful curation of choices that they are offering. The store has always been clean and organized when I'm there. Which is amazing because I don't see people roaming around doing this task. I don't think I have ever heard customers verbally confront each other in the store (doesn't mean it doesn't happen, I just have not witnessed it). It just seems to be a little more laidback than the corporate grocery stores. As a local business, I try to shop there and support them. They are a vital part of our community. We have a lot of people who want to walk or bike to get their groceries and they can here. Prices are reasonable. They could be obscene because of their size and location but they are not interested in going that route. That speaks volumes to the store owners and management. I'm a member of a local civic organization and we regularly ask them for their help with prizes for our fundraising etc. They really do an amazing job and give back to the community. I cannot imagine a reason why I wouldn't want to shop there other than I can't get everything there. The benefits outweigh that though. An added bonus is that you will be paying an actual clerk that will greet you and be nice throughout the process!!
