It's a little hard to find but once I found it, I was happy. I have to say, this place is seriously a gem to Chester. Everything was delicious! And her prices are so reasonable. I thought she didn't charge me for something when she gave me my total. Wow! To have an affordable and delicious treat shop in the area is awesome!! I will be back and I have been telling everyone about it!! Cookies, Dubai chocolate doughnut, cakes... everything g was delicious!

Apparently the owner does a lot of custom work, which would be good because you know exactly what you are getting and when (and how much it will cost.) I stopped by Thursday right when they opened "for the week" since they are closed Monday through Wednesday. Several of the things we specifically came there for were out of stock or still baking. I know that she is trying to find the balance between baking enough for people to purchase, and eliminating waste, but it sort of made it look barren. The display case had one each of some of the stuff that was available, but I just didn't like how empty it made it feel. The shop also has a ton of other things displayed for you to buy, like essential oil bug spray, jewelry, woodcraft, etc, but then for a place called Honeybee BAKERY, the bakery seems like an afterthought when there is so much more other stuff than there are baked goods. The actual baked goods that we could try get sort of mixed reviews from me. I opted for a vanilla bean mini cake that ended up being $9, and a pumpkin cookie sandwich that was either $7 or $8. (There are no prices listed, so you have to ask.) The cake was cute, about the size of a really large cupcake (or two small cupcakes), and I definitely could have eaten the entire thing in one sitting, but I personally didn't care for the buttercream. I know it sounds like a totally *Karen* thing to say, but the buttercream is too buttery. Hear me out though, if you just eat something that is really butter-heavy and not a good ratio of powdered sugar and liquid, it actually just leaves this really greasy film in your mouth and on your lips in my opinion. The flavor was okay, but there was just way too much icing and therefore WAY too much butter so it was kind of unpleasant. The cookies were okay, but again, the buttercream in the center made it sort of unpleasant. Definitely eat them cold because the buttercream just slips and slides out if it is room temperature. I know for next time that I would just opt for the cookies. I would definitely suggest the bakery utilize social media way more to keep up to date on what is currently available, and list prices.

Sophia Marie Patisserie absolutely lives up to the hype! This woman-owned bakery in Chester…read morespecializes in both French and Italian pastries. It's an adorable, quaint shop, with no indoor seating, which just adds to its charm. There's always the same friendly woman working the front, while the owner bakes in the back. I tried the viral fruit entremet and chose the mango and raspberry flavors. The mango entremet featured a delicious custard and mango filling within a beautiful hard shell, but my personal favorite was the raspberry. The raspberry custard paired with the raspberry filling was truly outstanding. I also sampled their chicken sandwich croissant, made with their homemade croissant. It was super filling; although I thought the chicken salad could use a little more seasoning, it was still enjoyable. I'll definitely be back to try more pastries and I might even book them for an event!

Great selection of European teas, the right kind of French baguette, and the croissants to die for, and much more! Their coffee is so good too! Definitely worth a try!
