I grew up in La Crescenta and tried Cibo Thai for the first time today - pleasantly surprised. I was craving Tom Yum Soup so I got the Tom Yum Noodle Soup with tofu and it was delicious - I love lemongrass but it's not for everyone. My friend got the Pad See Ew with chicken which was also yummy! Overall, I'd stop by if you're in the area and craving Thai food. The lady who served us (I believe she's the owner) was the sweetest and gave us recommendations! I would say there aren't many workers so don't dine in if you're in a rush :) The interior was very homey and cute - I would definitely come back to satisfy my cravings.

I've only had take out, but it's always been delicious. Very pleasant service, fast delivery and inexpensive. Best Thai I've had in LA.

As a serious Thai food enthusiast, I often find the best gems in unassuming, non-fancy…read moreestablishments, which immediately raised my hopes for this place. The cuisine overall was good, but certainly not elite. However, there is one major exception: the Crab Fried Rice. This dish was truly exceptional and single-handedly justifies a four-star rating. It was rich, flavorful, and perfectly executed--an absolute must-try that saves the meal. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was distinctly average. The Yellow Curry was just that: average. I've definitely had richer, more complex versions elsewhere. The Egg Rolls were the biggest disappointment and desperately need work. They lacked any real flavor depth, making me question if this is simply how Thai-style egg rolls are prepared, or if the recipe is just weak. Crucially, the accompanying sauce did nothing to elevate the bland filling. On the positive side, the service was attentive and the ambiance was genuinely "kozy," living up to the name. The main practical drawback is the parking situation. While validation is offered for a somewhat distant structure, we opted to pay for metered parking right in front for sheer convenience. I am willing to return, but my next visit will strictly involve exploring new menu items alongside a repeat order of that phenomenal Crab Fried Rice.

We were seated, our order was taken, and then we watched multiple parties who arrived after us get their food first while we waited over 30 minutes. Not once did our server check in, explain the delay, or apologize. The lack of communication and basic attentiveness was incredibly disappointing. After this experience, I won't be returning. You've lost a regular.

SEATING super comfy space inside with great views of the surrounding mountains. There are plenty of tables for bigger parties to push together. FOOD Lots of options for the vegetarians in your party. You can omit egg for some to be vegan. Adding Gluten to your dish will cost more than meat option? (-1 Star). Tasty dishes. Spice level is very good. Spicy = spicy. The recipes are a little on the sweeter side here. Overall nice flavors and well cooked greens. Blistered cherry tomatoes in Pad Kee Mao were excellent. PORTIONS are pretty small. **This was not a "lunch special". I finished the Thai iced tea in one long sip. (Small glass, filled with ice when tea was done) SERVICE Fantastic. Both servers that came to the table were super friendly and attentive. ** We were the only people in there until we got the check. One other patron was picking up an order to go. PRICE Perfect "date lunch" prices for the portions. The restaurant atmosphere and convenience close to Descanso Gardens makes it a great choice.

The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and you can taste how fresh everything is. They were out of their homemade curry paste, so a few dishes weren't initially available--but we ended up staying, chatting, and before we knew it, more ingredients arrived and they happily made everything we wanted. That kind of experience says a lot. Not. One. Thing. Has ever disappointed here. The fresh scallops on the half shell were unbelievably sweet and tender, with a sauce that hits you with the perfect punch. The crispy rice salad is unlike anything else--beautifully balanced, like a tightrope walk of flavors on your tongue. They also sell their proprietary fish sauce--get it. We ordered the Gra Pow Moo, Dungeness crab fried rice, Pad See Ew, Gra Pow Wagyu beef, and Koi Soi--every single dish was outstanding. Great sake, beer, and wine selection too. Absolutely delicious.

It was the first dish brought out, and there was a generous amount of scallops and a nice balance of sweet, citrus, salty, and umami flavors. - The pork belly had a nice crust, and it paired well with the house green sauce. - The mussel green curry risotto had a powerful flavor. The Bad: - Our server ignored us after we put in our order and seemed very cold. - The wagyu pad kee mao (drunken noodles) was terrible. Not exaggerating when I say it was the worst drunken noodles I've ever had in my life. Instead of the customary flat wide rice noodles, this dish came out with pad thai noodles, which were clumpy, too starchy, and slightly undercooked. - When we asked our server about the noodles, she said the kitchen ran out of flat wide noodles, which are usually served with the dish. She said "when they run out, they'll throw whatever in there, these noodles or sometimes even vermicelli." What?! Girl, no. We asked her why the lack of the key ingredient wasn't mentioned to us when we ordered and she said because she didn't know either. - The restaurant took 20%, or roughly $5 off of this $30 pad kee mao dish that we didn't even eat. The meat wasn't good quality either. Sadly, we won't be back.
