*DOG FRIENDLY* This is such a great pet store with lots of variety for dogs and cats alike. We came in for some dog food and the owner was super helpful on getting it for us. Plus, I discovered lots of great treats that I've never seen in stores like a dried duck head. I will definitely be coming back here for more local dog treats, my new favorite spot! This is my absolute favorite place to buy anything and everything for my dogs! Melanie LaRocca, the owner, is on site nearly every day and is committed to providing more than just great service; Mel and her staff have thorough knowledge of nearly every item in the store. They are all animal lovers and owners committed to offering top notch products and super premium food to your pets. Whether you need a low protein diet for your senior pet, or you want to go raw, or need help picking out something new, there's always someone knowledgable and eager to help at Ciao Bow Wow. And there's not just food. Great place. Fun things for your pets and as gifts for friends with dogs/cats. The owner Mel is very educated on different foods and pairing the right one for your pets needs. Staff is always friendly. Smaller store so sometimes they don't always have your flavor in but it is super easy to special order anything even down to the type of waste bag that I like. What makes this place stand out above others is the quality of what they stock and the knowledge of the staff-specifically the owner! read more

Heard about this business from a friend. The address in Yelp says Rowley but I'm reviewing the store in the Butcher Boy Plaza in North Andover. The puppy food recommended by our breeder is sold only by them (in the area). At my first visit, Mel, the owner was with a customer and what I was looking for was out of stock. She was more than helpful in taking my order and calling me upon it's arrival. The store is really cute, offers many unique pet products and the prices are very good. You can really tell this is a passion and not a job for Mel. I highly recommend a visit to Ciao Bow Wow. read more

We found Ciao Bow Wow in Rowley, and have shopped in North Andover since they moved (larger store, more parking!) Others have mentioned that this store is the owner's passion - and shopping here is a passion for me and our four dogs - plus a sometimes visiting granddog. I trust Melanie: to have quality, and to know my dogs. Everyone in the store is super nice and super knowledgeable. If I can't find something, I ask: an x-large Kong blow-up doughnut for a just neutered newf? Ciao Bow Wow had it - Amazon.com didn't! The events at the store are always interesting and varied, too. Plus, her prices are great, and sometimes even better than the big box places - which don't carry the top brands anyway. Basically, I love this store and the people in it. read more

I am also reviewing the shop in North Andover - this store is great! I feed my GSD and Husky Fromm Adult Gold food, and couldn't find it anywhere, but Ciao! Bow Wow has it, in stock, all the time. I drive from over 20 miles away and they will always gladly put the bags aside for me until I get there. Recently, we purchased a bag that was from a bad batch, causing both of my dogs to become sick. They gladly accepted its exchange for a different bag, no arguments whatsoever. The staff is always incredibly kind and helpful, and it's always a pleasant shopping experience! read more

I will never go to another pet store for dog food! I used to live in the N Andover area and found them because I wanted to feed my dog better quality holistic dog food, so I stopped in and have been loyal since. I moved 20 minutes away and live near plenty of other stores and still drive up to get my dogs food from ciao bow wow. The owner and staff are wonderful; knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, they even know my name and my pets name when I come in the door. I love that they dont sell any animals in the store too! Super cute store. Good parking. Not a huge place, but everything you need, and didn't know you needed. Among the pet foods are adorable gifts for your animal loving friends and family. Friendly Employees know the inventory, helpful, offered treats to my fur baby but asked first. Carries the food and treats we prefer to feed our special little fur child. Her store is clean and is always well stocked with the latest in holistic, natural and high quality dog and cat foods, treats and supplies. I love this cute boutique! Inside you will find everything you ever wanted and a few things you never knew you did. Collars ( no Lupine dime a dozen) and leads of all kinds. Accessories like bandannas, party hats and coats to boot! Boots too! You can find unique gifts for the dog lover here as well. A nice selection of natural dog treats like tendons, trachea, bull sticks, chicken feet, lamb lung etc. And the food! From High quality grain free dry foods to single ingredient canned food options, not to mention 2 brands of raw dog food as well. And all the same for kitties too. Melanie, the store owner is very knowledgeable and super pleasant to deal with. She often has her corgi in the store with her, not to mention the resident store cat, Misha. Her staff are all friendly and helpful, and they always remember my dog's name! I buy my raw dog food here every week, and I refer people to her store all the time.
