    Chicken Formaggio

The food here is fantabulous! We had the Chicken Formaggio (amazing), Fettuccine Alfredo (excellent), Pasta Al Forno (delicious), Penney alla Vodka (fabulous), and Shrimp Tortellini (spectacular)! We also shared the Bella Bruchetta. That was amazing, too. The service by Kate was simply amazing. She was so very busy, yet didn't forget about thing. She also had a great sense of humor. The ambiance was jumping. It was busy, but everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals. I highly recommend Ciao Bella. They also own Salt and Pepper breakfast spot. I'll be reviewing that next as it too, is amazing.

With the exception of the hostess the staff was fast, friendly and very professional. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. The bar area is a little awkward but the bartender was very nice. We ordered a bottle of the house wine and enjoyed it. Our food was good maybe a little under seasoned, but still better than a lot of local restaurants.

They say sequels are rarely as good as the original, but Ciao Bella proved that wrong. We visited this spot exactly one year ago while visiting family, and I can confidently say the second time around was even better. After this visit, I'm ready to call it: this is the best restaurant we have visited in the entire Prescott/Prescott Valley area. The Logistics: * Timing: We took a gamble and walked in at 5:00 PM on a Saturday without a reservation. We were quoted a 20-minute wait but were pleasantly surprised to get seated in just 10 minutes. * Service: Despite the packed house, the service was seamless. It felt like a true team effort--everyone was helping clear tables, run food, and ensure glasses were full. The Food: Come hungry or plan to take a box home--the portions here are massive and value-driven. * Garlic Knots: These land on the table complimentary, and they are dangerous. Warm, buttery, and tasty. A perfect start. * Fried Zucchini (4.5/5): Do not skip this starter. It might be the best fresh fried zucchini I've ever had. Light, crispy, and incredibly fresh. * Chicken Formaggio (4.75/5): This is a staple on their printed menu, and for good reason. I ordered mine without mushrooms (personal preference), and the kitchen executed it perfectly. The creamy sauce wasn't too heavy, and the addition of artichokes and asparagus gave it a unique texture I loved. It was easily enough food for lunch the next day. * Lasagna (4.25/5): I am notoriously picky about lasagna (mostly because I make a great one at home), but this one is up there. It features a fresh, tangy sauce rather than a sugary one, with a solid meat-to-cheese ratio. The Wine: I ordered a glass of Chianti (I didn't catch the specific label) that was excellent and surprisingly affordable. The wine list here feels very reasonably priced compared to other Italian spots of this caliber. Verdict: Consistent, delicious, and friendly. If you are in Prescott Valley, this is the place to beat. See you next year.

Delicious food. Friendly service. Nice atmosphere. There was a line at 4p waiting to get in once the doors opened. However, with it being a Sunday, the restaurant didn't fill entirely. We have been here on a Friday when there is a line and a full restaurant. Their salads are fresh and crisp with tasty dressing choices. They served garlic knots as we sat down which are yummy. But don't eat too many or you won't have room for your delectable pasta dish.

I have eaten at ciao Bella before in the past and I wasn't impressed. I haven't been back in awhile, mainly because of the hours. I was able to go the other night and I heard the server telling another customer about the special. It sounded good so I also asked about it. The server showed me a picture and I was sold. The special was so good I would have licked my plate if the place wasn't packed with people. I still dream about this dinner. I wish it was a regular menu items. The service was great and they also gave us extra bread and sauce to go with the left overs. I don't usually stray from the regular menu items I know I like but I would suggest trying the specials they have once in awhile like I did. You just might be impressed.

OK, I have to admit. I was a bit disappointed. I heard good things about this establishment. The chicken Marcella was just OK. My chicken dish, the sauce didn't have a lot of flavor and was very thin like soup. My chicken was cooked perfect, had some asparagus, artichoke hearts and mushrooms. I tasted the lasagna, kind of like mush and my girlfriend ordered the pasta that had shrimp. Mostly pasta not too much shrimp. My favorite of the night was brussels sprouts. The garlic knots were pretty good and the tiramisu was good. Kate was the best thing about this experience. She was fabulous. I will give it another try!

Always my first stop when we come to visit Prescott…read more. Hands down the best service always and the most amazing food. Leaving pictures so you can see how great the food really is.

With a craving for pizza we found this place through a map search for restaurants as possible…read more The place is quaint with a Southwest ambiance. It was full of patrons for dinner and we were seated right away in a cozy booth. Strangely the table was far short of the seating. The menu is broad with all the typical Italian selections. We put in our drink order and I had a Argentine Malbec. It was rich and delicious. We started with an appetizer of Arancini. These traditional fried rice balls were huge, two of them. Mixed with peas and other tasty ingredients, the exterior were nice and crunchy. Cooked perfectly they were delicious with a cup of Marinara to pour over them. The pizza we ordered was the 18" Mediteraneo with grilled chicken, ricotta and mozzarella cheese and a pesto sauce. The 18" was very adequate sized for four hungry people with some left over. The pizza was good yet a bit off in that the cheese overpowered everything else. I do not recall eating any chicken or tasting the pesto. The ricotta seemed to be a unique ingredient yet it doesn't seem to set properly as if it was applied frozen (?) The service was extroadinary, so friendly and accommodating. The only mistep which is probably a kitchen problem is we waited and waited for the appetizer. When it finally arrived the pizza arrived literally right on top of it with not enough room on the table. I'd return to try some of their other Italian offerings.
