This is a small sub and pizza place that has been around for a long time. I've always wanted to try it so I did. It isn't big inside, but it's cozy enough. I ordered a 12 inch pastrami sub at the counter after waiting a bit for someone to come out from the back. She was very friendly. When I got the sub, I wasn't overly impressed. It was a very tasty sub, but usually when I order a 12 inch sub I am very full. Not the case here. Menu was pretty much limited to sandwiches but a reasonable variety of those. They were out of wings. Prices were just okay. Portions weren't bad but my sandwich was a bit disappointing. Been coming to PV for over 20 years, several times a year to visit our family here. 1st time here 06/20/2025 approximately 4:30 pm we order the Pastrami and the Steak and cheese "Fuggetabout it!" I didn't expect it to be that good both were absolutely delicious, i have to say i never had a pastrami with lettuce, tomato and onions but it was very tasty the fried mushrooms and onion rings with tempura crust was amazing, the young lady at the counter was very nice and helpful, we will definitely be back. read more

We were looking for a sandwich place that wasn't Subway and found Rusty's. I was sadly disappointed the place was empty and looked closed when we walked in. The owner seemed annoyed that we were there but took our order anyways. I ordered just a cheese sandwich (they were out of American cheese) and my husband had Italian sandwich he said it was just so so. The restaurant was clean as if it was shut down. This is a great local subs and pizza shop. I drive by it on my way to work every morning, finally stopped in after work to try it out. Lobby was nice and clean. I ordered the roast beef and cheese sub as part of the specials, got mozzarella sticks for the side. The sandwich was great, nice crunchy crust with super soft bread inside. The ingredients were the perfect blend and ratio. Every bite was tasty and delicious. The mozzarella sticks were cooked perfectly, not greasy at all. My husband got the meatball sub and the Italian sausage, he said both were great. They were out of pastrami today, so he is looking forward to trying that next time. I highly recommend this locally owned sub shop, and we are looking forward to trying the pizza and wings next time. read more

I love the turkey croissants and fried zucchini. Rustys was closed for a couple weeks and I sure missed them. First off don't expect any kind of service. Basically order to go weather you do or don't they make you feel like no one should be sitting in the restaurant. There is one TV and no music or volume it's a dead zone. No adult beverages. Basically after you order they will bring you your food Togo. The pizza taste very similar to Peter piper and was the type when you take your first bite the whole cheese slides off. The wings were way overcooked. You know that feeling when you almost can't move without feeling like you're going to pass out? Yeah, HUNGER!!! Well Rusty's is definitely the place to fix said problem. From their flexibility with the menu (ordered two french dips but wanted pastrami instead of roast beef), to fast and efficient completion of an order. The food is absolutely the "hit the spot" kind of food that will leave you full and not over full per the portions. I don't see why Rusty's isn't packed on a daily basis. Oh and the bonus, having nothing at all to do with their outstanding food, is the arcade bowling game. What's a better way to wait for your food than to bowl a round. My challenge for you, one I haven't even accomplished yet. See if you can get through an entire game of bowling, before your food is on the counter, hot and ready. Fast food never tasted so good. I have tried several items off the menu and never been disappointed. Pizza, turkey croissant, sub sandwiches and side orders are all delicious! Rusty and his staff are very nice people and always quick with orders in person or take out. I would definitely recommend this restaurant! The only down side is I wish they were open a bit later than 6pm weekdays and open on weekends but I also get they work hard and usually only 2 or 3 people working. read more

Not that much going on for quick eats without a drive thru in PV but stopped here on recommendation. The meatball sandwich sauce was a little sweet, probably using the same red sauce as the pizzas and other items but not perfect for a meatball. Also the sandwich completely fell apart less than halfway through. The BLT wasn't awful and there was plenty of bacon but the bacon was poor quality. Not bad all around but not great. read more

A hidden gem of a place. It's been here forever and for some reason people drive by and they never stop. What a shame because this place has amazing food. It's one of those places where you love everything you have tried, so it's so hard to pick a favorite. We sometimes end up buying a few things to share and then have yummy leftovers. It's clean and friendly and the prices are very good and the food is amazing. Pizza, subs, croissant sandwiches, and so much more. The turkey breast is a favorite of mine on a croissant with avocado. We were in the mood for wings this evening and thought we would try out Rusty's. The pizza was okay and didn't really have enough toppings but the hot wings were spectacular! There was plenty of sauce on the wings and it was truly hot! None of this wimpy flavor like I have found in so many places here.
