Food is really good, but we ordered the plate with all the types of sauces to try. The waitress brought it out with all of them splattered onto a plate with them all running together, instead of like the little cups. It's a little hard to try them that way because you can't really "dip" your chips either. Lol There were three of us, but we didn't even try them at that point. It was a horrible looking presentation to say the least. . We also ordered one meal that we changed the sauce on, and were charged $2... wow! Was surprised about that. what is it with this place? Three strikes and I'm out. Order completed and paid for at 4:07 for a 5:05 pickup. An hour before I need it. I am a caregiver for my brother who has dementia, so timing is important. I got there and per their instructions, I texted I was there at 5/06. 3 people came and went while I waited. And waited. And waited. I resent the text that I was there at 5:25. Finally, the girl asks my name. 3 minutes later it comes out-already packaged. Obviously, it had been ready for - who knows how long? I got a text at 4:55 saying it would be ready at 5:05. Got it at 5:36. Got home and, of course, it was all COLD , even the soup. It is difficult enough leaving my brother at home for 15, much less the FIFTY MINUTES round trip. The girl said "they were busy". not so busy they couldn't serve the people who got there AFTER me. Let me start by saying we have been to serval places when we come to midland and every one of them have done us wrong! Until now! Thank you Chuy's. The host greeting was great, the waitress Charity was amazing. She was friendly and checked on us regularly and even knew when we needed stuff because she was paying attention from across the room. She explained questions I had about the drink menu. Our food came out hot and was a huge severing, the taste was amazing. The drinks tasted great, my husband got the coconut mojito and he loved it. I got the Tito's cherry limeade and loved it. I'm not into sweet drinks and it was the perfect drink for me. The decor was great, the music and atmosphere were perfect. Could not have asked for a better night out with my husband. Thank you again Charity you were amazing and we will be back when we come back next month. read more

They know there's not another Chuys within an hour and a half of here so you basically have to deal with their garbage service. I came in at 5:48PM on a very slow Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Ordered a margarita, Burrito and Quesadilla. I left at 6:59 with nothing aside from the margarita ever having made it to my table. No real explanation from the wait staff. No nothing. We ordered over $200.00 online to be picked up at 6:30pm. I got to the restaurant at 6:25 and checked in. After waiting for 15 minutes, I finally called and they said it's on the way out. They brought me someone elses order. I said it's not mine, we had 9 entree's so they went back. Another 15 minutes passed so I called back. They said they were busy and it would be out soon. I said it's been 30 minutes since it should've been out! So I waited ANOTHER 15 minutes and called back to talk to the manager. Got put on hold, no one came back on the line. Called for the 4th time, put on hold, no one came back. Called for the 5th time, got put on hold, no one came back. Called for the 6th time and lost my mind on whoever answered the phone. Finally received our order over 45 minutes late. Got home and of course, one of the entrees were missing. Never again. Oh and the Chuychanga I ordered with queso had no queso. There were other small issues with the order but I'm not even going to get into it. This place was really good when it first opened, but it has gone down the toilet recently. Terrible management. Lack of communication, as well as lack of care in the food/service. Especially from the GM, Alex. I was taken extremely off guard, by the lack of professionalism as well from Alex. Not only was he extremely rude to myself and my friend, but displayed no sense of empathy, and that's extremely discouraging, considering we once visited this restaurant regularly. We will no longer be supporting this business, due to the mediocre food, and now the even worse management to top it off. Some of the managers, as well as the general staff seemed to notice the regularity of Alex's negligent habits. Family went to Chuy's for dinner. Service was top notch and Kirsten did an amazing job taking care of us. Enchiladas were amazing. Salsa Fresca nailed it like it always does. Wife loved the chili relleno. And the kids loved theirs as well. Wasn't as busy as I figured it would be but it started to get going when we left so that's a good sign. It is literally impossible to have service worse than what I experienced tonight. Made an order to go around 4:30 and was texted and told my order would be ready for pick up at 5:10. I showed up to the restaurant at 5:10 and was told my order would be ready shortly. My order was not ready until 6:15, 65 minutes late. Upon receiving my order I realized they'd forgotten all of my sides. I notified the staff and was given my missing sides and able to leave at 6:30. 1 hour and 20 minutes late, 2 hours after the initial order was made. I got home 10 minutes later and our entire meal was ice cold, flautas, tacos, everything soggy and ruined. It is literally impossible to have worse service than what we experienced tonight. This is not the first time this has happened either as it's happened the last 2-3 times we've been. I will NEVER go back to this establishment and I will continue to leave negative reviews each and every day until Chuys makes this right. We sat in the bar and it was far quieter and less crowded than the restaurant which was packed back to back and had way too many screaming kids for us to be able to tolerate eating there. Our server was awesome and all our food was great. We wished they had an option for grilled shrimp instead of battered and deep friend though. We had a bad experience there. We came in and ordered our and it took an hour for food to get to us. When it did come They didn't get my 10 year old daughter's order right So they took it back. We waited and waited the waitress came back and told us they had messed up again so we continued to wait. Then another waitress while walking behind my wife spilled water down my wife's shirt. After this I went to talk with to discuss everything with the manager. we never did my daughters order and they didn't take 50% off our order and give us a gift certificate for a dinner for 4. Now if you want a cheap meal and a fantastic margarita, this is definitely the spot you want to be at. I give them a 3 star due to the food being subpar. The service and attitudes of the workers is great. They're very attentive and our confusing order wasn't messed up at all. Came here with a friend during lunch. First time here for me & it was pretty good. Obviously the food here is Tex-Mex (which is nothing wrong with that) and people in the comments are saying it's not authentic. Complete ignorance from some reviewers imo. Although the food was really good the only thing I would add was the portion sizes. The chicken fajitas tasted great, just not enough for my liking. Other than that my overall experience here was a good one. Our waitress was great too, very polite and attentive. Super chill spot with not a huge crowd. Great mixed drinks and really love the BOOM BOOM sauce!! This may sound strange, but they have the best big salads! I usually eat that for my meal and have half to take home. One star is generous. The bar is out of ingredients. We never got our queso. All the tables around us were served way before we were even though we came in before them. Petty? Probably. However, the beef fajitas were tough and I had to abandon them on my plate. The beans weren't even cooked completely. The staff never brought extra tomatillo sauce and we had to remind them to bring our tea back after the refill and then it was sweet instead of unsweet. The staff was so distracted and refused to support each other. This reflects badly on the management. This restaurant is not worth the waste of money for this expensive food.
