Beef Chile Rellanos. Salty, cheesy and huge.
Sandy N.

The first time I went it was too long of a wait so we left. This time it wasn't too bad. Recommended by a coworker who is a Midlander. She said to get the chile rellenos so I got the beef chile rellenos. Yes they are huge, but the beef was salty as hell. I do give them the extra star for their friendly service and their chips and salsa were good. Ate all the chips because we were waiting so long for our food. It seems like the Mexican Rice, Beans, beef etc taste the same as most of the mexican restaurants I've tried . It's sad that I would prefer Rosa's Cafe to get mexican food!

Chicken fajita nachos with queso instead of shredded cheese. 5 stars!

I love the fajitas and the queso. The chicken fajita nachos are great! You can choose queso or shredded cheese. So far I've liked all the food I've tried here. The bisteck a la mexicana rocks! Prices are about the same as their competitors.

If you're looking for an authentic restaurant in Midland with a family restaurant feel, you can do no better than Dona Anita's. I had some delicious tacos and a Texas beer served in a mug so frosty, it almost turned into a slushie. Though the food is good, the owner Luz is a star in her own right. She treats her guests like family and has a few stories to tell if you catch her at the right time (ask her about her trip to the White House!). Can't say enough about Luz and her staff -- I left with a big smile on my face.

Service seems to be about as good as you can get. Carne con papas is great and I've stuck to it. Prices are reasonable.

I heard a lot about this restaurant and since I'm a barbecue fanatic, I decided I needed to try it…read more Just an FYI they're only open till three most days except Friday and Saturday. They're open to eight. Service was amazing. Sherry and May made the experience of dining here for the first time super enjoyable. As for the food amazing I would place this barbecue restaurant in my top 10 if not top five that I've tried. The pork was amazing without any sauce. The sausage was good, but the star of the plate was the hatch macaroni just the right amount of spice just the right amount of seasoning so good. Their barbecue sauce was so flavorful and complemented everything perfectly. Nice quick dining experience with a great little atmosphere of just a local heritage one of the highlights is the sauce bar with multiple sauces, peppers, pickles and so many other choices for sure 100% have to try this if you're in Midland. The menu has many things besides barbecue and I plan on going back to try multiple items more to follow.

I visited Pachuco's while on a work trip as it was a short walk from my hotel and I was in the mood…read morefor some Texas BBQ. Thankfully Pachuco's was there. Upon walking up, I saw the pig on the sign and had a good feeling. It was moderately busy in there with some awesome metal music playing. Already a good start! The menu consisted of the regular you would expect from any BBQ place (a variety of meats, sandwiches, etc) but what makes them stand out are the more interesting dishes like Korean fusion dishes and stuff like that. I went with the basic half pound of brisket and slightly more adventurous brisket fried rice. The brisket was really good and juicy and paired well with the Pachuco's BBQ sauce, raw onions, and roasted chiles. The fried rice was really dry but still tasty. I will definitely visit again next time I find myself in Midland.
