I was so excited to see Chuy's as a dinner option while on a trip - we do not have them in New England yet. So, we made sure to visit before leaving. For four of us, with margaritas the bill was $91, which I thought was reasonable. We ordered three orders of Fajitas and a Bean Burrito to go with our margaritas. We all enjoyed our food, even my super picky 12 year old nephew said the steak fajitas were amazing! Portions were large and the service was excellent. Our waiter was spot on with all of our add this, don't put that in requests. I wish I had gotten his name to let management know how wonderful he was! I have no idea why people eat here. Went in on a Saturday evening around 8; host had no idea where to seat us. Server was attentive but abrupt. Very obviously was ready to leave. I always go to chuys when I'm craving some good Tex-mex food. They make the best homemade fresh flour tortillas that I always get Togo. I always get there steak burrito in the green salsa. There chips are super addicting with there creamy jalapeños sauce. Service is always good and since chuys is a chain you always know what you're getting when you go there. I typically try to avoid chains, but I'll make an exception for Chuy's, especially when I have kids with me. I'm not sure how they do it in the current market, but somehow Chuy's manages to hire great staff - the hostess/host and bartenders are friendly and the servers are attentive. I love the jalepeno sauce and typically, I'll indulge in multiple margaritas if I'm not driving. My kids love the Quesadillas. My only complaint that is very long running is the Elvis Fried Chicken. I've eaten here many times and this is an update. I like the food, but servers are very unfriendly. My tip is based on how well a server performs. If they just do the minimum with little contact or personality they'll receive 10% and if they are pleasant, attentive, and conscious about what they are doing... Bingo 20%! When you start the meal off with the hostess throwing the menu down on the table and the table wasn't clean you know right away that things aren't the way you expect it to. Haven't been back for awhile. Hopefully things are much different now. I love their tortilla soup and Taquitos. Once the restroom was clean. I love the cheerful atmosphere. We met some friends here for dinner as we were traveling thru the area on our way to Myrtle Beach. It was a little out of the way, but our friends ranted and raved about this restaurant all the time and we felt that it was time for us to see (taste) for ourselves. We started with chips, salsa and queso.....it was all great. For my entree I ordered the Tacos Al Carbon (I think it is actually on the menu as a pair, but I wanted just one and they gladly accommodated me). It came with rice and beans and was very good (and plentiful even if it was just one). There were no complaints from anyone at our table. Service was spot on too! Tex Mex is a true delicacy I always order the same thing and that's an off menu item called the Shirley Gooey (chicken, queso and rice) never been disappointed with it or the service. I've gone a handful of times with my family and friends a highly recommendable restaurant in my opinion. I owe you all a huge update. This is literally now my favorite restaurant in Lexington. My daughter and I literally eat here at least once a week. It's her favorite too. Although there are now two Lexington Chuy's locations, this one is my favorite. I'm not quite sure what happened over the last year, but they changed for the best. Service is always phenomenal, as is the food too. Management here is always on the front line, and friendly. That really reflects in the servers too. Oh, the food... My favorites are the steak fajitas and steak burrito. Their steak here is tender and flavorful, unlike anything you'll find anywhere else. During a slight Lexington shutdown, we came here today for a sense of our normal routine, Saturday lunch/dinner. Our waiter, from last Saturday recognized us from the week before, and said "y'all must love Chuy's". He proceeded to thank us for the support and coming out. Like a manager, but I'm positive he was a waiter. This was a true testament of great management. Normally, we love this place. But yesterday, my daughter and I stopped by around 11 in the morning and we were served our meals and with our meal came a scoop of guacamole on each plate. The guacamole was brown and was not made fresh. It looked like it was from the day before. I know that you guys can do much better than that. read more

After a great recent Yelp event here, I brought my husband and two kids for dinner on a Saturday night. The parking lot looked busy but I quickly found a spot and we were seated promptly upon entering. We did have to wait several minutes before we were greeted by a server and another table even ordered their food in that time. I had the house margarita which was fresh tasting and delicious. I especially love they do not use the pre-made mixes at Chuy's (which is a HUGE plus for me) and my husband ordered a Pacifico. They had given our 2 year-old crayons and a coloring sheet which kept her happy. We were given chips and fresh salsa which definitely had a kick to it. I ordered the chicken soft tacos which I love because the house-made tortillas are awesome and topped with some of their jalapeno ranch are killer. My husband got the Chicka-Chicka-Boom-Boom which is his go-to meal here and he ate every bit. We ordered the mini tacos for our daughter and the portion was really big for a kids meal. She especially loved the rice that came with and anything that satisfies a picky toddler is a win for us. It was fairly busy on a Saturday night, which should be expected but our server was great. Our food came out quickly and he checked in on us multiple times. Chuy's has a little bit of everything: delicious food, fun atmosphere, good service and a convenient location. Chuy's is also really good for groups. This location is tucked away behind another restaurant and a car dealership. I know, strange right? However, it is really convenient to where I live so we always go. This visit was wonderful. We were seated immediately upon entering. Our server was very nice and chill. It was like a friend was serving our table with how he interacted with us. I forget his name, but he was great. Our food came out in great time. I got the Chalupa and Enchilada while my fiance decided on the Chicken Flautas. Both were delicious! The chicken was cook well, but the best part was the green sauce on mine. IT WAS SO GOOD. Chuy's creamy jalapeno sauce is the best as well! You can ask for it with the chips at no charge. Parking for this Chuy's location is actually really good. Due to their unique location, it's not really ever busy on the road they're located on and they have a fairly large parking lot. Keep in mind that this location is busy on the weekends so you may experience a wait. Be sure to check out Chuy's! You won't regret it! read more

I visited Chuy's with some co-workers after work recently for happy hour and dinner. They were able to easily accommodate our party of 9, and we were seated right away when we arrived at 4:30. Our waiter started us off with chips and salsa and took our drink orders. The salsa was good- but EXTREMELY spicy- and I usually really like heat. When we made a comment to the waiter about it, he said that the serranos were really hot that day. Chuy's is known for their thin salsa consistency- I'm more of a "chunky" salsa kind of gal, but some people in out group were disappointed that it was inedibly hot. I ordered a side of rice and sauteed veggies with a side of avocado. (Note: the beans are vegetarian but not vegan). I enjoyed my meal, but it was pretty basic food. Some people in our group reported that their food was too spicy- we were guessing as a result of the hotter-than-normal serranos. Maybe if they are too hot, use less? Or indicate somewhere on the menu that a dish is extra spicy? The next day, a few people in our group said that their cards got charged twice from Chuy's. I don't want to make any accusations, it very well could have been an honest mistake. Everything considered, the next time I get a craving for Mexican, I think I will try somewhere else. read more

I had never been to a Chuy's before, so I was excited to give it a shot and I must say that I was impressed. From the very start, as I tasted the complementary salsa, it was obvious that fresh ingredients were being spotlighted. I knew we were in for a treat with very fresh tasting tomatoes combined with Serrano Chilies which provided a nice warm heat. I chose the Fired Up Steak Enchiladas from the Hatch Green Chile feature menu and loved it! It consisted of fajita steak and cheese rolled in corn tortillas, smothered in Red and Green Chile sauces. And to top that off, grilled onions, more peppers, and more cheese was applied. I'll definitely be back for this dish! The Red and Green Chile sauces had a really deep earthy, smoky taste which was quite addictive. My dinner companion enjoyed the Pablo's Enchiladas which featured chicken and cheese rolled in four tortillas which were covered in a cream sauce with Green Chiles and Poblano Peppers. This entree was topped with pico de gallo and Green Chiles. Finally, for dessert, we shared a HUGE piece of Tres Leches cake which was served with a caramel sauce and strawberries! WOW! Always a favorite, this was one of the best I've ever had! Tara and I are now both new inductees into the Chuy's fan club. And we'll be returning soon! read more
